Thank you for this video. I just bought a used Santa Fe. It's a 2006. This is the only video on this generation of the Santa Fe. Good stuff. Huge help!
For the link you provided on the harness adapter, on Amazon it shows for a GM. I have ordered several different harnesses but non of them line up with the correct wiring. does this one work for the Monsoon system ?
@ValleyMobileAutomotive I'll try it.. Mine doesn't have the cassette deck so I'm gonna cross my fingers it works. But yeah, the ones I have plug in but don't correspond to the correct layout if that makes sense.
So on the non speaker connections, Red to Red, Black to Black Orange to Orange...Etc. I have 2 Blue with White Stripes, One of the Blue with White Stripes is Slightly, Darker than the other one! In the instructions it says it's very important to hook up the Blue with White Stripe, Wire! And then there's another description saying to NOT hook up the Blue with White Stripes wire, but it Doesn't Say the Lighter, or the Darker Wire with the Blue with White Stripes! Any ideas? PS: BTW, Where is the Factory Located: under the Right or Left? D
Hey Manny. I commented on the other video. I would first double check to make sure the amp is adjusted properly. You can also try to see what they sound like without the amp. The only thing that's still factory is the radio, it was designed to operate with it's specific amp so maybe upgrading the radio is needed. Just some thoughts...
I have that same problem with the Boss head unit I recently bought for my 2004 Santa Fe. I'm thinking it's the new head unit since the factory unit still works fine. Btw, what dash kit are you using?
I have replaced my stereo deck in my santa fe my red power wire doesn't have power going to it I've tried other stereo decks nothing I've done many stereo decks in the past
Hey Ryan. Yellow should be power at all times and red only has power when the key is turned to accessory. If you're not getting power on accessory I would start by checking the fuses.
Hey good question. At the moment all my older videos are being re-edited and uploaded with different thumbnails. Once that's all complete I'll be uploading brand new content weekly.
So I have nowhere to hook up my amplifier power in my new stereo. You aren't really clear on how to use the line output converter under the seat. How do you get wires to it? What wires do you use? I've got the radio in and no fucking sound and it's really frustrating.
Sorry man! I know that's frustrating... In some cases the stereo and the stock amp conflict with each other and it sounds terrible. By bypassing the amp you allow the stereo to drive the speakers and it restores the sound. I have a video linked to this one where I replace the speakers and bypass the amp. If you want the aftermarket stereo to hook up to an amp the best bet is to also purchase an aftermarket amp to pair with the aftermarket stereo.
Thanks. You turned what I thought was a difficult job into an easy job.

If you remember, was that a 6.2 inch unit, and if so, is the 6.2 Inch the only size that will fit these cars? Hopefully you get back to me.
Thank you sooooo much for the radio take out. U a major life saver cause my radio wasn't working and now its working just because a faulty fuse.
EXCELLENT Video!

Yes, it says for GM but it was a perfect fit for this Hyundai. Let me know if you have any issues 👍

Whats the red wire for? Did you have to use it ?
And the Antenna Adapter is basically a 10" Antenna Extension Cord?
Do you know what kind of sterio you bought I have a 2004 santa fe and I'm trying to connect it but I think I got the wrong sterio
I don't sorry 😕

Next time put the parking brake cable together with the ground cable to play videos
Great video! Thank you!
Quick question: what faceplate kit did you use? I see all of the other parts in the affiliate links. Thanks!
i recently had my factory amp and speakers replaced in my 2003 Santa Fe and it doesn't even sound as good as before, any idea what it could be ?

Bro where can i find this kit
Parts are in the description 👍
I have 6 speakers and don't know if I have an amp. I have an 03 GLS
If you have an amp, on the radio unit it will say "Monsoon". The amp is under the passenger front seat.
Can I do this to add Apple CarPlay?😭
Yes, if you buy a stereo that supports Car play 👍
Bro my car’s radio is on but sound is not coming. Before it was ok i changed fuses . I have hyundai Santa fe
