Generational leap.
It makes a huge difference in some scenarios. Would be even better with a proper implementation by the devs.
4:10 the high contrast makes the character's hair almost look like a doormat.
It looks so much more realistic! Impressive!
Try to reduce the resolution screen from 4k to FHD because the path tracing is heavy. 😊😉
This game is so CPU bound to you wouldn't gain much FPS going from 4K to 1080p. It runs alright in 4K even with Path Tracing anyway (obviously with Frame Generation's help) since this game is poorly optimized.
@@FrozburnYT Yeah for this bad especially game. But I have a RTX 4090 and I can increase nicely the framerate from 1080p to 720p with DLSS 3.5 RR without FG at RT Overdrive with 6-ray and 6-bounce on CP2077. 😁🥰
The contrast is too high, but path tracing is incredible. How big is the performance impact?
The performance can be seen at 1:29
@@FrozburnYT thx somehow i didnt realise
How your configuration? Hibrid pure asgf?
Honestly I don't remember. I used the first suggestions on that mod's description page when it first came out. Finished the game, haven't played in a while.
This game is a joke in terms of performance. They must fix the fps. Not even my high-end pc can handle it
It’s just so bright
Great, let's make a game that looks bad and the RTX will improve it visually, that's the methodology applied today.
It's somewhat difficult to judge and compare when some of the clips are filmed at different times of the day, like in 0:45 which can be kind of misleading since you are comparing a very unflattering time of the day in the Ray Tracing one against Path Tracing and vice-versa. In instances where there's lots of lightning and contrast like in 2:00 Ray Tracing does look better as Path Tracing just blooms-out all of the detail in the highlighted areas and gives it sort of a monochromatic tone like in 2:13 and 2:55. In scenarios of low-light or interiors however Path Tracing is the clear winner and looks absolutely stunning in 0:22 and 1:20, so maybe this is just a matter of tweaking and time until Capcom refines an official Path Tracing solution for the game.
The time of day is the same on everything. I simply turn it on / off from the menu. Before I do the test I sit on the bench 3 times, which gives me the same time of day. It changes some areas drastically, I'm sure there's even better examples elsewhere on the map.
An official implementation would be nice to have, tho I doubt they'll do anything, seeing as they haven't even bothered to release a single performance patch yet - the biggest complaint. We'll see. I'll do another video if they add it.
They look like night and day. But the pathtracing is definetely overdone. Too bleached out and contrast.
I don t understand how do you reach this fps. I have as well an rtx 4090 and barely reach 70 fps with path tracing on.
How do you do this? I as well has pure dark fs3 enabler
Have you overclocked your RAM? It helps a lot in CPU heavy games like this one.
@@FrozburnYT mmm honestly no but i don t know if it can explain a difference of 30 fps on the same graphic card. Can I ask your preset of graphic suite ? Thanks !
@@francescoaudino9153Not sure why you're getting much less, RAM definitely helps tho. What do you mean by graphic suite? Let me know and I'll try to help.
@@FrozburnYT maybe you re not using graphic suite mod to increase path tracing quality.
are you using only re framework path tracing?
anyway thanks for the help
Yea i do 1 bounce 4 spp and im jumping from 50-70fps depending on whats happening on screen. 5120x1440 res. (around 12% less pixels vs 4k)
Using 4090 and X3D CPU 32gb RAM.
1 Bounces 2 SPP? or Ray Tracing Tweaks?
Some of them were that, yes. The others were primary path tracing + AV something clone, forgot what it was called. It looks pretty much the same (except on shiny armor) while eliminating the noise.
The color is different. Not the same color setting.
Everything is the same. What you see is caused by the Path Tracing mod. The lighting changes things + the mod itself probably does something. Check the mod on nexusmods and try it yourself, should get similar results.
What are your settings for eliminating/reducing noise? And what fps do you typically get with path tracing? I can't seem to get a clean enough image. Too grainy/noisy with path tracing.
People are constantly updating their findings for the best settings, check the comments in the mod link.
hi! how do you think the 4070 ti super would do? thank you :)
Should be ok with the frame gen mod. You can adjust the quality of path tracing anyway.
@@FrozburnYT thank you have a good day😊
Not OK. I have the same card and it's heavy to be honest
@@Dawird what about 4080 super?
@@Akiaiy not sure but I think it's garbage too. 4090 gives you 90 fps on average it's a CPU game not GPU
Unfortunately this is a broken game on pc with no fix in sight.
The mod can be downloaded here - www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma2/mods/693
ray tracing looks much better
The game looks garbage without path tracing, you'd think that now everyone has seen how good the game could look that capcom would put the effort in and do it properly. It looks much better and is actually probably the most compelling case I've seen for path tracing. Maybe after they out the horrible optimisation they can do this properly. Fingers crossed, I'd buy it if they sort this all out lol
Path Tracing really fits in this game. I have a feeling they won't bother with it tho.
why does ray tracing look better, his hair looked way too glowy in path tracing and the blues were weird, whites were way too bright, the shadows were really nice tho
cus its just a mod and they still working on it ?
@@magnomliman8114 oh
would be nice if you could show us your settings in reframework, I can't get anything nice out of it because I am to stupid ^^
To bad that the mod makes all shadows static, instead of reflecting the trees movement with the wind the shadow is just stuck in place.
