Question: How does Power Mode differ from when you simply mash the throttle through the floor in ECO EV mode? Both seem the same to me as best as I can tell.
Would you use this mode to pull a trailer? I'm thinking of buying a new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, and getting a small travel trailer within the manufacturer specifications.
I still think it makes sense. You will discover that there are many free / low cost public chargers available. Plus, if you have none around - it still will act as a hybrid!
@@mikeintampa250 On Mine (2023), when my battery is above about 2/3 full whenever I am using regen braking level 3 or higher it will automatically turn on the gas motor for some reason (and grey out the EV mode as selectable). If you put the regen back down to 2 or less, it will shut off the gas motor and allow EV mode to be selectable. When the battery is less than about 2/3 full, I can put it in regen 3+ and it will let me go in to EV mode and it will run on battery till it is dry. Not sure why it does that.
Have you tried putting EV mode on the highway, finishing the battery and then recharging the battery with gasoline and then using EV mode on the highway again? That is, combine the systems to use EV mode several times on a trip?
you wrong i own one and it’s my daily driver , / family weekend car and it has 98k reliable miles with average range of 450 miles on a ful tank and fill every three weeks
Love the power mode on this vehicle... great for merging onto the freeway

Nice!!! Still waiting to get mine to try it out 😅
You'll love it! :)
Nice 👍🏾 I’ll try that mode tomorrow.
I love the power mode!
It's really good! Makes a huge difference!
Have you conducted an economy test in Power mode only? What's the consumption between Power vs Normal? Love your videos!
No, I haven't.. Thank you for watching my videos! :)
What is the center button in the selection knob?
Hill decent , it holds the car back from speeding up as it goes down hill.
When the ICE kick in, maybe it has to get to operational temperature before it shot down and go back in full EV mode???
Maybe..
How is it different than tarmac mode
It’s faster..

There is no "official" hitch yet for PHEV. In a few months of so we will have more info on all this. I'll post it as soon as I get some info.
Specs state 1,500 lb towing capacity
I dont have garage to plug it in. Do you think it is still economical to own one? I am thinking of trading in my Outlander 22 GT for the PHEV version.

Maybe not charged up if it's not active?

Would you like to test the power mode in 0-100 km/hr if how many seconds? Thanks!!
Worth trying:)

No matter how much Nissan....oops sorry, I mean Mitsubishi does, this still comes with a crappy un reliable Nissan engine and transmission!
Incorrect. This is the PHEV, the engine is Mitsubishi and doesn't have a conventional transmission.
PHEV is a much different story..
Wrong it doesn’t have a transmission it has direct drive and a totally different engine do your erase arch before spouting off
The phev is all mitsubishi drive train
