Awesome action. I still dream about a similar experience I had in Cape San Blas Florida. The water over the white sand bottom was crystal clear and it was dead calm all day...and I mean dead calm....much flatter than in your video. Like an inland lake on a calm day with no boats to roil the water up. All day the fishing was bad. Understandable considering any fish close to shore would have really stood out to the diving birds. There were millions of little minnows congregated within twenty feet of the shore at about 18 inches deep. A guy said they were glass minnows? Right before sunset I saw a guy way up the beach catch 4 or 5 good sized fish in a very few minutes. One of my sons ran down there and came back to say the guy was using shrimp on a hook with no weight. We'd boiled shrimp the night before and I sent a son up to bring some down. I rigged a rod with just a hook and threaded one of those shell on red cooked shrimp on it. What commenced was like you experienced. My son fished too. We could only keep four total because you could only keep two apiece over 22 inches or thereabouts (forgot) We could have kept 3 more apiece if they were under that length but never caught any that small! They were all mainly 24-28 inches...what they call Gator Trout. It was doubly weird because I'd always fished for trout in the bays and estuaries or along shallow coastlines with lots of grass beds. I had never caught anything but a few little 8-9 inchers on the Gulf side of that type of beach. I subscribed so feel free to make me jealous with any of your future awesome fishing days!
I'm not sure where y'all fished but I fished Surfside, TX. and it was good. My best day was Tuesday the 28th of June and it was crazy. The water was just slicking off and starting to clear. I was catching everything and I never knew from cast to cast what I was going to catch. I caught Specks, Sand Trout, Whiting, small sharks, Blue fish, Gaftop, Hard head catfish and Lady fish in the +20" range. Most on a gold spoon with a jigging retrieve. One of my best fishing days ever.
great video and nice trout, but my question is,how did you know to stop there at that spot out of all places. is there some kind of shell reef or is it a drop-off, a channel?
Great video. New to salt water been going with my father in law to spend time together Down in corpus. Looking to figure out how to catch more fish then him on the boat haha. New sub. Thanks man was awesome.

M Linger Sounds like an Epic Day! Tight lines
A major result of lots of catch-n-release, unlike the Lower Laguna Madre where everything's kept...legal or illegal.
blunthonest1 you got that right! Lots of losers with no license raping the ecosystem.
Great video need to have one of those kinda days soon Tight Lines
Right on! Was this in Texas?
This makes me wanna go catch some specks

What part of the beach did y'all fish?Every time I go to take my kids fishing, the water is just to choppy.
Really liked your video man, your channel has potential. I was wondering what kind of lures you were using?
Great vid. I missed it by 1 day. Is that a GoPro? And if so what editing software? Thanks.

Fishing WRKs A
That's some awesome trout man what kind of bait you are using 👍👍👍👍👍
What kind of rod and reels were used in this video?
What setup are you using
What baits were the trout biting on? Is this in Texas or Louisiana?
New subscriber here! What an awesome day of catching! What of camera do you use? If a Gopro, what settings are you using. footage looks really nice!
I have a gopro 4 silver. I'll check my settings. Thanks
What camera did you use ?
Where were you fishing at ? Great video and nice catches 👍. New sub.
This is definitely in Texas is this was fishing in Louisiana nobody uses bait casters.
NOturtle me too😂
You have to have skill to use bait casters. My daughter has been using a baitcaster since she was about eight. It’s just not a Louisiana thing.
new Sub , great video guys.
What rod and reel?
Are these big surf trout?
Where is this at
In Galveston bay or some where else
wow nice
good action
cool !
Last time I went to Matagorda, I didn't catch shit.
That doesn't even look like "surf". :-)
this looks like a back bay from the jetties, not the surf. the surf is further out by the jetties,,,
Tide runner or surf trout are so much stronger than the bay trout , the big girls will run like a red and tail walk
Yo I have that same reel😂
Nice job but please just grab the friggin fish instead of using the gay tool that takes 10 minutes to grab him with.
I think they were afraid of the fish. That one guy squealed like a little girl.
