LEC could have hyped up the return of Rogue and G2 vs G3 or something like that along with Kcorp finally joining the LEC. Feels like there was no big impact moment like in the LCK trailer when the music picked up.

the problem with europe is that everyone in europe apart from g2 wants to beat g2, making it their only goal. then they dont think about other regions and europe just gets gapped and g2 has even higher expectations making hthem lose. fnatic really needs to step up if europe wants to have a chance at quarters internationally, it cant be a one team region

My guess would be they used practice tool to say that for G2 the LEC is basically just that at this point for them, no idea though. I can't say for sure which typically isn't a good thing for getting people hyped. If that is what they were going for then that's maybe something they could use for the finals of a split and instead have Caps say it himself instead of maybe implying that. But if that's the reason they used it then the LEC just played into the one team region narrative which coming off the worst year in EU history where we all did shit doesn't paint a bright picture to kick of the season.

The biggest hype for LEC would be created if they could manage to actually preserve a single roster that proves itself to do well internationally. Unlike NA, we had many such rosters in the past, but we always screw our region over by immediately disbanding them for some stupid fucking money games of team owners and then our region gets shit on at worlds again. I feel like there is not gonna be many more chances before people actually stop watching EU altogether for LCK and LPL.
