I had this on vinyl when I was a kid and was thrilled to find this track on RUclips. I am a big Sonny Stitt fan and this is probably my favorite Stitt track. He had a reverb device of some sort attached to the sax for this album which gave it a slightly difference sound, and I kinda liked it.
This is superb. Brings back memories of sunny days in the 60s-70s.

The incomparable Idris. No other drummer laid out a groove like he did.
Did not know Leon had passed, so sad. played with Leon in the 60's U.S. Army. Peace be to him.

Never heard of Leon Spencer before. He's really good in the style of the two Jimmy's, McGriff and Smith.
This's nice. I prefer his bebop records but it's still nice.
