Next month I wasn’t going to have a place to live. I took one day at a time having faith. I knew in faith HaShem would provide. Sure enough just a day a person I knew had an apartment where her son lived and asked me if I would want
To move there, half the rent I am doing now. Twice as large. Amen

Thank you for your lectures Rabbi Anava. I'm not Jewish, however, I love the Jewish people, your culture and The Torah. To make positive changes in my behaviors, I make every effort to learn something from you. Pre Covid, I briefly attended Sabbath/festival services at a Synogue and I hope to someday go back. In the meantime, in my search for spirituality. I read the Torah, listen to your lectures, as well as other Rabbi's and involve myself in prayer. I've looked into Bnei Norah, but I'm not convinced that's it's the route of spirituality that I want to commit myself to, as I enjoy learning about the profound layers of the Oral and written Torah. Again, I thank you from the deepest layer of my heart. May H continue to bless you, your family, your students and followers and the entire community. Stay well and healthy, Rabbi, WE NEED MORE RABBI'S LIKE YOU.

" If you toil, you will find results " ( gemara megillah 6a)
" suffering is good for us, because it removes impurity from our bodies "
    ( gemara berachos 5a)
The only thing we have true control of is our thoughts.
Utilizing the power of thought to study torah one will come
to see the power of their minds.
When the mind has control over the body, the suffering of this world
is viewed like that gemara i quoted from berachos, like salt that
removes the blood from the meat, our suffering gets us to a much
    higher madrega.

All of this I remember from Kabbalah. The vessel and the light. No control(except for the fourth factor: the environment, people, books I associate with) The suffering/pleasure is the right and the left hand of the Creator nudging you a little to the left a little to the right similar to a guidance system for a heat-seeking missile aiming for the target.

Hahaha.. Exactly! We can NEVER have ENOUGH from things we don't need!
We expect something will make us happy and struggle to get it! We get it and notice we are still not happy with it. It's TOO FEW to make us HAPPY! Instead of leaving it, we begann to collect more ans more of the same thing till it makes ENOUGH to feel happy! The best example of that is the subject of money.. The poor man is missing a FEW Dollars to get something to eat. But the rich one seems to have a big Problem, he is only in dept! He says: I absolutely need 10 tausend! He struggles and gets them, but then he needs double, then triple...

I believe in the ONLY and TRUE G-D of Israel. I believe in miracles. Adults' problems are bigger than a kid's who is climbing up to have a chocolate pudding from the fridge. Some problems are impossible to fix by ourselves. Hashem is NOT a sadistic G-D who leaves us alone to fix the problems. If my child dropped a chocolate pudding on the floor, I would comfort the child and say: "My dear child, I don't shout to you, and I don't leave you now when you made a mess. Let us clean the mess together and then sit down and talk about the mess you caused. That is what Hashem does: He lets us make mistakes and gives us power to fix the mistakes WITH HIM and THROUGH HIS DAILY MIRACLES ❤️

Yes. Amen! The monkey analogy is a good one. Hunters will also fill gourds with sweets and treats that monkeys just cannot resist. The hole that is cut in the gourd is too small for the monkey’s clenched fist to come out - and so he is caught by his own greed and insatiable appetite for sweets and treats. It’s a powerful lesson for us all.

It is sad when others think you are minimising other peoples problems.
They do not realise that it is fabulous to have someone to listen without comment or advice. This helps them to get it off their chest/ mind and they feel better.
Men feel they have to help or give advice of how they would deal with things.
Whereas women just like to be listened too. Little prompts to keep their chat going is helpful. Like “ how did that make you feel” or “what dud you say” “how did you solve this” this shows you are LISTENING.
as a Jehovah’s Witness i have learnt to be quiet. I have one mouth and two ears and try to use them in that order. Listen and not speak.

Great teaching and so true in how life is a series of opportunities for us to grow. Yes, I had a death experience and He sent me back and told me I was not done yet. That happened Feb. 19, 1991. So I guess I'm still not done yet with my life purpose. Praying for His speedy return daily to redeem us all.

This video reminds me of the importance of carefully 'plugging into' our parents life. When we honor our parents and are not careless with them, we get a type of output from them that can recharge us and gain favor from Yh'vh. Conversely, those who grieve their mother by being careless with her or ignoring will eventually lose power from the Holy One of Israel who has set reasonable standards of behavior toward our parents. Some of us are trying to continue like the red (sardius) wolf pack, few in numbers, but still attempting to do what we are expected to do in the small turf we still have access to. Adult children who do not carefully seek their parents or worse, intentionally grieve their parents, lack the type of character and discernment that Yoseph had and needed to assist his Egyptian neighbors long before his siblings eventually became desperate for grain.
