I love that we are seeing rookies playing in VNL like team USA. They were given spotlight and they performed well. Some NTs mixed with the old and the new. We might be seeing future stars in the making.

For those who don’t know, this isn’t USA A teams, they’re using this chance to rest up the A team who has just finished their club season and probably training for the Olympic cuz non of the players from this roster is the squad that will perform at Olympic, but the good thing is to give these new players a chance and experience cuz they will someone will have to represent USA in the future
I think its just an excuse that Team A just came back from club duties. All of the athletes just came from club duties. I think USA is just wasting this opportunity to assert dominance. I mean I love some new faces in the league but this team just can't survive week 1.

@@unclestan U might be missing something but most of the top 5 teams in the world don't have their A team out, I think France is the only one who had all starters out in a different match (if im not mistaken).

Yeah not a fan of how they're doing the highlights. They seem to put like 75% of the clips from the winning team, even if it was a close game.
Yeah i also noticed that they tend to show highlights of only one team. It really bothers me.
Though lossing, I love watching USA rookies playing with veterans and or experienced opponent players. They're playing good and scores not far behind from other teams they're playing with. Go USA!

USA lost the match but the points were very close and I’m happy they getting to experience this level of volleyball cuz most of them probably just finished their collegiate season so they still have room to improve and some of them have potential

I think the original line up for USA now are started training for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
No, men's club just finished so many of the players are recovering from that. This is the same for Japan's players as well.
The first week of men's vnl is always some b team players, we should see the a team next week.

True. Just because the highlights don't show any US points doesn't mean they played that bad. If the scores were like 25 to 10, people should be worried. But that US team trying to gain more international experience is not doing bad. Plenty of time to train and get ready before most of the senior team retires.

@@Official-OpenAI yes. They've just trained as a team 2 weeks as much. USA base team has been over a decade together. Defalco as one of the newest in his VNL debut made a lot of mistakes. It's normal to fail with all that pressure. They just need time and training
@@Official-OpenAImost of them just came from NCAA and don’t even have professional league to play as USA doesn’t have one. Most of their A and B teams play overseas. But most of these rookies probably have never played in the senior level as competitive as VNL. Gabi Garcia represent Puerto Rico before but just recently switched federations. The rest are NCAA stars. But they fought well even though they lost. Scores are pretty close.
This team just needs more reps together since its a new mix of players. Would've been good if they had some friendlies before vnl.
Im sorry but the setters are horrible especially Tuaniga. Opposites are horrible. Only Knigge and Ewert are performing up to par.
France has proven they have better dept in their bench. Even running a B team with their 3rd best outside and a middle fresh out of U20. And they do it in a smart way by mixing them in with veteran players, instead of tossing them to the wolves.

I felt sad watching the after match interviews and one USA blonde OH asked kindly to be patient with them. These guys must be suffering reading all those trolls in every single post of this week USA VNL roaster

I wouldn’t say they are trolls…its sport and fans get disappointed. This is not the level usa fans are used to. I think it would be nice for the younger player sif they are mixed with some of the more experienced players for guidance…like how the usa women do

The last world and european championship always win France, Italy, Poland. My country Slovenija was 3 last year and we beat strong France for bronze medal. With 2 milion people not bad. And we missing here the best young player in the world Možic Rok. 🇸🇮👍

I was looking at the olympic roster 2024 for men's USA 22 returning players and 8 alternate for olympic paris games,. I do not know if they confirmed the alternates but the 2 that I feel would defiantly help are not on the roster at this time as alternates Hanes #9 and Garcia#3. That to me is a big over sight, they are such strong players. Not saying anything against the ones that may of may not be on the roster as a alternate.

Most of them are rookie so which is ok pretty sure the main roster we will probably see them the second week cuz some of them either recovering from their clubs or probably training and getting ready for Olympic

They put Louati against the weaker teams. Louati, the best looking player in all of volleyball IMHO, is not up to par for games vs. Poland and Brazil.
Louati is a very good player he just couldn't outshine the other outside in the main team. He was part of the tokyo roster and played as a serve substitute (i mean he was an OH but only came in to serve for chineneyeze)
This season he was the second OH in resovia with TJ Defalco and won the CEV Cup , he also benched Cebulj (slovenia OH ) so yeah he is a VERY good player just got outshined by clevenot

Don't give reasons. Regardless if that's Team X Y Z, they still lost. Remember, if they keep losing, they're losing points as well and will affect their world ranking which will play a bigger role in the definition of quotas this upcoming Olympics in Paris

according to google roster USA #29 I believe maybe a alternate for Paris games, I do not know if that is a set roster or not. But I agree he made many mistakes in this game.

The hardest position to replace for team USA will be the opposite. No one has the technique and the class of Matt Anderson yet. USA has some rookies from college but most of the players on court are already professional players (playing in Germany, France, Poland...) and over 25 (Kessel is 33, Marshman 30). We just haven't seen them in international competitions up until now. The middle blocker Seddik from France is a good prospect, 210 cm and only 18 years old.
You guys been watching this VNL league and almost all team played their team B... I don't see any team has their strong team or A team yet... I believe they want to wait for Olympic this July so no teams or coaches can see their strong line up yet... I think.......

DIDNT THE USA MENS VOLLEYBALL TEAM JUST WIN LIKE TWO TOURNAMENTS LIKE 4 MONTHS AGO!? What is happening?! Like why does Matt Andersen keep getting blocked and the USA keeps losing!? The only thing I can think is that they took time off after the last tournament win and are slowly building for the Olympics to peak at that time!?! Please answer someone and be nice 😢
you can tell this is the b team, the A is way better althought the B is more than ok .The A team is a candidate to win the olympics with Poland France Japan Cuba Argentine Brasil. …… France comes out of a defeat against Slovenia that is another good team .
it is a pity Boyer did not play ,it is a pleasure to watch him during the warm up spikes where he really shines .Pure brutal explosions.

He is with the just-named Olympic team back in USA. The older, Paris-bound guys are resting and training. They will play week 2 in Ottawa, Canada, in June.
