Ugh, girl I’m here. I’m 30 and I have an 8 year old. I have a successful career in Underwriting but I’m genuinely not happy. I make good money & we aren’t without, but it just doesn’t feel right to me in my heart & spirit. I don’t know what I want to do at this moment & my mental is spiraling working in corporate America. I know I need change, but it’s such a huge risk to take.
I was at work doing so much extra stuff, excited and out . I would come in early and leave late, yet i was noticing so much change and zero accountability. My wife just gave birth and i had six weeks off....my mental health which i ignored was highly improved. I had time to reflect on everything, and i mean everything. My wife has told me to leave, yet at 43, i find myself in an awkward place of transition. Even when i job search i don't see my field the same......glad you did whats best for yourself and your health.
I'm a new subscriber and girl; I used to live and work in Philly, too! Everything that you stated, I am currently going through it at this time. I am reminding myself that it is temporary esp, in the hard times. Watching this video reminded me to always know my worth and make the best decisions for me and not for anyone else!
Thanks for this video. Wow I relate so much to questioning if I truly deserve the pay, my identity being rooted in having a good job, and being super scared of not having my money lbvs
@@anaisdottavio If you feel like you are not doing good enough for the pay you get, use some portion of your money to feed the homeless. By the way, I'm the new subscriber of yours.
Hi Anaïs, I wanted to let you know that you've been on my mind. I genuinely hope that everything is going wonderful for you because you deserve nothing less.

capitalism shaped a lot of the ways we think and operate, unfortunately. But being aware of this is a good first step
