  • If one were to wonder what the languages the heart speaks are, music would definitely be one of them.
It transcends barriers of nationality, ethnicity and human language and thus can potentially be a powerful force that unites all humanity!
Swara Laya is delighted to present ‘Nottu Swara’ a wonderful blend of traditional Indian Carnatic Music and simple melodies inspired by Scottish and Irish tunes.
The term Nottu Swara is a combination of ‘Note’ and its synonym in Sanskrit...’Swara’ thus literally and figuratively making it a confluence of the East and the West.
Swaralaya pays it’s respectful obeisance to Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar, one of the Trinity of Indian Carnatic music whose melodious innovation the original set of 33 Nottu Swaras are. Our gratitude also to his disciples who added more compositions with due care taken to preserve the original idea and intent.
    Special Thanks:
Balaramachandran T S (intro message to Nottuswaram)
    Aditi Ramakrishnan (track lead voice)
    All parents and our supporters
