That was one heck of a manoeuvring session to get in to what is a stunning spot! Definitely scheduling a few weeks on the Dampier on the circle back itinerary. And that's a shocker there being two black nozzles on two different fuel types. Feel your pain on that one. On the positive side, your engine came out of it ok. Could have been a much more catastrophic situation otherwise. And belated best wishes to the birthday girl!
Yea we were shocked too about the double up with the black nozzles, first time we have struck it. Glad we avoided the whole new engine thing.. would have been a show stopper 😑

Hey mate don’t beat yourself up over the fuel issue. Almost did it myself 2 days ago. After 14 hr drive pulled into fuel station pulled out a 98 petrol bowser had it fire up, was about to put into my tank and suddenly realised this isn’t diesel!. Tired, distracted, we are only human. I was lucky and realised just in time
I did the same thing a few years ago, I was in a hurry ….the ex was cranky because I was late collecting my daughter …… so a bit distracted. As I put the pump back on the bowser I realised what I had done…….. fark me I nearly cried! Expensive for sure! It’s a pretty common issue I was told so I was pretty paranoid about choosing the right fuel every time I filled up after that and for a long time. 😂

Hi , Don’t beat yourself up , because the bowsers are all black , heaps of people make the same mistake, including us . The mechanic told us they can get 30 people a week who do the same thing .
Bummer about the petrol, diesel 🐓 up. What I found coincidental about that is that earlier this week, I had a small truck come out to pick up a couple of 200 litre drums of something. After he was loaded up, his truck wouldn't start. Plenty of fuel I asked? Yep filled up on the way here. Yep you guessed it, he drove about 40km after putting petrol in his diesel tank. He probably had a 50/50 or thereabouts mix. The truck finally left on the back of the transporter late the following day.
oh geez, not good. We were in Exmouth the other day, 4 vehicle at the mechanics with the same thing.. 1 drove 400kms with a 70/30 mix of petrol in a diesel vehicle. Motor is now cooked.. its sooooo easy to do, hopefully for us never again 🍻 thanks for watching
Great episode, but you are looking tired every episode over the last few weeks. You look like you need to take a break and have a rest and recover. Bummer about the fuel mix-up not a good experience, but good to remind people to check.
The fuel ‘issue’ proves to all us females just how serious MAN FLU really is 😂😂😂😂 You poor didums. But seriously though, it really does show that you are still not running on all four cylinders (pun intended) and you need to go slowly at the mo and not try and fit so much into each day. Take care.

Oh, and a confession. 4 days ago, I also picked up the black handled pump at the bowser, and very nearly started pumping 130 litres of p8 petrol into my GMC Sierra 2500 6.6 litre diesel. Thank God I noticed in time. Definite brain fart DUUUH moment.
It happens to the best of us with the fuel and a expensive mistake but glad it was a good outcome and the only crocs we saw were on your feet 😅how are you liking the crocs?

You never ever tow from equipment or high on a tractor. We had a low pull bolted under the tractor and never ever rears up like that.
How come so much red dust in the van. Is it bad seals?
