Great band. Great rendition. The first time I heard it I thought I was listening to the original. I went to see them live years ago in at the Tweeter center in Camden New Jersey. Actually I went to see Chicago and Huey Lewis & the News was the opening act. I kind of shrugged it off until I heard them. They were fantastic and it was just like turning on the radio. They did not miss a note. They were much better than Chicago in my opinion. Chicago was very good and a great band in their own right but I was so impressed with Huey Lewis. Huey Lewis joined in with Chicago during Chicago's finale and it was such a great great crescendo with all those horns!!
I was looking for a PBS or CBS (I think it was PBS) TV special that came out around the same time as "Four score..." and found this. It's seriously weird since I remember J. J. Jackson's original, Huey Lewis' TV special and now Huey's Jay Leno appearance. Great song no matter who cover's it.
@@LiLTailormade He lost his hearing quite suddenly. I don't know the cause. If you can't hear it's nearly impossible to sing...with a band. He must be miserable.
Great Song I love this Song Huey Lewis and the News Version is Just Really My Favorite Version of this Song Honestly. I love this Song It's Very good I love listening to it EVERY day of my life Thrills Me All the time. I wish Everything Is Always Alright and Good so we can be happy you know it. Great Song to Always Love and Remember Yeah!!! 🎶😊🙂🤌👍🎶
I just saw the original on you tube. In my opinion you are right. Huey has a nice raspy voice but deeper down Jackson rumbles up from a more soulful well. Can't be replicated. Huey comes across better in Power of Love, a great production. Edwin Star sounds better in " War" (What is it good for?) than Springsteen as well, though ya gotta give credit for a great deal of passion in both (my fellow) white boys.
Lolly Vegas and his Redbone band did the song with one drummer and Pat Vegas and another backup singer and they sound a lot better. You have about seven or more.
Only a band like Huey Lewis and The News could cover that in a way that would do the original proud! Absolutely fantastic. 👍👍✅
The only white band that can play soul rhythm and blues and be authentic to the original talents. Goddamnit, I love HLN
This is one true song that never gets old and I never get tired of it. Huey Lewis will always be one of the best and the greatest of all time ❤❤
Remembering JJ Jackson! Thank you Huey!
He's alive
the audio on this is incredible, and the fact the orchestral bells came through is nuts. incredible
A great cover of jj jackson song.Huey had such a good voice.
He did an excellent job of this!! The band was on it tight!!
This band is so-ooo tight! Love you, Huey Lewis! Thanks for posting!
I love this. I have always loved this song. Huey’s voice is great for this.

I too thought I was listening to the original by JJ Jackson when I first heard it.
I loved the horns ,nice addition the women vocals
Down to earth talent and a gentleman.
Criminally underrated
Love Huey Lewis so much.

LOVE that expanded horn section!

Love it and Jay Leno is absolutely a delight I hope you are feeling better soon love from New York City Rosie
I miss Huey.
The 80's rule.
very good cover! JJ Jackson would be proud!
The back up singers had it ,going on...nice moves..
Dam, I wish I could have seen them live.
Same .
I have seen him 3 times In my life
Each time I am amazed he sounded better live than on recordings. He is a talent and a half
You missed a treat!
long live JJ Jackson😎
Sad he can't perform anymore..
Great talent...

His voice is so identical to the original version😂 Damn😁😁😁... I salute you.....
Why is no one talking about the awesome xylophone solo? 🎭😉
Is there anything Johnny can’t do???
Love love love you, Huey.
Pretty much nailed it
Great song!!
A gravação original com JJ JACKSON é insuperável.

Never gets old❤
LOVE IT!
Una canción muy estadounidense, me encanta♥️😘
He rocks this cover!!!
killer horns
Surprisingly good.
apesar qué no es la original se escucha muy bien.
I love this,song
I heard Leno got in a lot of trouble for saying screw the commercials and letting them play, is that right?
Very good go and kick some good music
🌌🌟💕💜💕🌟🌌
Good luck saying screw the commercial nowadays
but hey when your Jay leno hes very rich and hes in the position to tell them screw commercials
Not bad. I actually like Lewis' vocal work on this, but there's only one JJ Jackson!
Yeet I have an album of his greatest hits
Is this a song Redbone wrote or just sung ?Sounds great! Love this song!!
JJ Jackson wrote and sang the original
I noticed all the original band are in this, What Year what was this?
I believe this was 1994.
@@SeminoleRail Yeah certainly looks like it. Thanks.
Was this on the Tonight Show?
Duh, yeah!
Who's this singing JJ Jackson's song?
Huey Lewis looks like Nick Saban....... well a little
It seems it's not alright for 9 people...
SOUNDS LIKE JJ
Not bad, but still prefer JJ Jackson version.
Lolly Vegas and his Redbone band did the song with one drummer and Pat Vegas and another backup singer and they sound a lot better. You have about seven or more.
Seven more what? I just listened to Redbones version and it's good but in my opinion not as good as this.
Great job but he doesn't sound as good as JJ Jackson
This is laughably bad. Sounds like kindergarteners on instruments.
You either have kindergartners who are really good at their instruments or you are going deaf and what you are hearing is your tinnitus
I have terrible tinnitus and I even know this JJ Jackson cover is legit. Huey is the real deal.
You don’t hear well , do you
