Certainly a far more interesting new class than the pirate. I do appreciate that an attempt is being made to branch outside the cultures of the main factions, too! In a way, he kinda reminds me of Zasalamel from Soul Calibur. Very cool character for his time. Here's hoping the Medjay is just as fun.
I'm so happy to see a hero with an in-game footage trailer with them fighting. We haven't had that stuff since Year 1! Also, I admit that while I was lukewarm on the season, the new hero has turned out to look pretty cool! From what I've seen of his moveset (outside of infini-bashes) he looks way more fun than Pirate.

I guess since they are looking for a lost/stolen artifact, that's more in line with something the police would do, as their jobs usually included protecting valuable places, like palaces.

BUT, there is a dynasty of "Black" Pharaohs, which is the 25th Dynasty, consisting of a huge Nubian population that was Egyptinized. It's likely Medjay was a mix of Egyptian, Nubian, and 25th dynasty Pharaohs.
I like the hero, also have a feeling that he might feel a bit like JJ to play. Saw a JJ feel like dodge attack and straight attack after 1:07 👀 also some Aramusha style at 1:15 with them 2 blade thingys

He seems balanced, he has a little bit of everything, but doesn't excel at anything. He doesn't have insane mobility and ganking of Pirate and Shinobi, no big unblockable hitbox of Raider and Jiang Jun, feats aren't OP either

Technically the Medjay were Nubians. But later, Egyptians did join the ranks. This character appears to pay homage to the original Nubian Medjay.

He seems balanced, he has a little bit of everything, but doesn't excel at anything. He doesn't have insane mobility and ganking of Pirate and Shinobi, no big unblockable hitbox of Raider and Jiang Jun, feats aren't OP either
