The first time I listened to your message Pastor Bong, I was so drawn to the convicting words which come from the Word of God because I truly believed in my heart that my Lord was talking to me through you. I have so many spiritual needs. I was saved last 1982 on the 12th of November. For most of my young life I was so active in church and in His work.Yet, as I looked back I have so many doubts if all of those counted for God because a number of times I knew I got spiritual pride because of what I called my "achievements" for God. Then come the time that I stayed away from the fellowship and buried myself in my work as a teacher. And I fell into a grievous sin. For ten years I had been wandering in the wilderness. I rarely read my Bible...in fact the dust almost settled upon it. But I am so thankful to God for my sister who had never rebuked me but just kept on praying for me and supporting me. And time came when God had to do what was best for me... He disciplined me. He allowed me to experience a motor accident but His protection was still around me despite myself (and this always remind me how good and loving my God is) because I sustained a very minor injury. It was there that my vertigo started. God used the accident so that I was awakened from my sinful state. I retired early and went home to be with my family. I made a resolve to go straight for God. I joined a church where my sister, our nephews and nieces were attending. The pastor told us that theirs is not yet organized as a church but as still a mission. We needed 15 baptized members to be called a church. But this group never increased in number because the pastor was always angry in his preachings. He always preach about salvation, tithes, first fruits, giving honor to the pastor, serving and soul-winning. And he always put emphasis on bringing the contacts to the church because it's the only way that God will be pleased. Now I know there's nothing wrong in these topics because they're very much needed. The problem was he wouldn't do a one on one discipleship with our young men. He said that for them to grow they only needed to be present in all the church services and listened to his sermons. In my case, since I have vertigo, I tried to find means to manage it. By God's mercy and grace I was able to manage it. I asked the pastor and his wife if I could go with them in their Bible Studies. At first they allowed me, later they assigned me to have visitation with the parents after our Good News Class every Saturday. But we're living in the rural area here in North Cotabato and since the houses of our children attendees are very far I had to walk a very far distance. My niece who has a 4- year old son would accompany me. It was so tiring because I am already a senior citizen. Because of my vertigo I wasn't able to continue my visitation. Our children become so bored because our pastor woudn't allow us to spend so much time in art-making after the Bible stories and memorization of the verses. He wanted us to concentrate on winning their parents. The pastor and his wife were not so concerned of the elderly because I have my sister who is already 66 but she's oozing with ideas regarding what activities to do to be able to attract children and people to church. She's a Bible School graduate. But the pastor and his wife does not pay so much attention to her. In short when our former church in Iligan City opened a group chat we're able to open up our situation. They advised us to start our own ministry. So we resign from where we're attending and started our own ministry. At first it's in the form of Bible Study. Both my sister and I had finished a one-year training in the Bible School/institute so we train our young men how to lead. Our senior pastor and other brothers who had planted churches in other places encouraged us and visited us to help in our ministry. We have online communication often and they're good prayer partners. Since we started our ministry there are many struggles because I know we got enemies. The number one enemy is ourselves. The EGO. Satan knows our weaknesses and he will do all he can to discomfit us. But I learned to just stay close to God all the time. Now, it's my greatest desire to develop my character because this is most needed according to Chuck Swindoll not my professional skill. When I come across with your message about Joshua, I was doubly blessed with the impact of such message. All the examples you sighted were truly taking place in the common human mind and heart and I am one of them who has that kind of attitude. Pastor Bong, God sent you to my life to help me by the grace of God to slowly live a life that will allow God to slowly conform me to the image of His Son. Thank you for being a very effective vessel in the lives of His beloved children. I know we will meet someday in eternity at the feet of our blessed Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.

The first time I listened to your message Pastor Bong, I was so drawn to the convicting words which come from the Word of God because I truly believed in my heart that my Lord was talking to me through you. I have so many spiritual needs. I was saved last 1982 on the 12th of November. For most of my young life I was so active in church and in His work.Yet, as I looked back I have so many doubts if all of those counted for God because a number of times I knew I got spiritual pride because of what I called my "achievements" for God. Then come the time that I stayed away from the fellowship and buried myself in my work as a teacher. And I fell into a grievous sin. For ten years I had been wandering in the wilderness. I rarely read my Bible...in fact the dust almost settled upon it. But I am so thankful to God for my sister who had never rebuked me but just kept on praying for me and supporting me. And time came when God had to do what was best for me... He disciplined me. He allowed me to experience a motor accident but His protection was still around me despite myself (and this always remind me how good and loving my God is) because I sustained a very minor injury. It was there that my vertigo started. God used the accident so that I was awakened from my sinful state. I retired early and went home to be with my family. I made a resolve to go straight for God. I joined a church where my sister, our nephews and nieces were attending. The pastor told us that theirs is not yet organized as a church but as still a mission. We needed 15 baptized members to be called a church. But this group never increased in number because the pastor was always angry in his preachings. He always preach about salvation, tithes, first fruits, giving honor to the pastor, serving and soul-winning. And he always put emphasis on bringing the contacts to the church because it's the only way that God will be pleased. Now I know there's nothing wrong in these topics because they're very much needed. The problem was he wouldn't do a one on one discipleship with our young men. He said that for them to grow they only needed to be present in all the church services and listened to his sermons. In my case, since I have vertigo, I tried to find means to manage it. By God's mercy and grace I was able to manage it. I asked the pastor and his wife if I could go with them in their Bible Studies. At first they allowed me, later they assigned me to have visitation with the parents after our Good News Class every Saturday. But we're living in the rural area here in North Cotabato and since the houses of our children attendees are very far I had to walk a very far distance. My niece who has a 4- year old son would accompany me. It was so tiring because I am already a senior citizen. Because of my vertigo I wasn't able to continue my visitation. Our children become so bored because our pastor woudn't allow us to spend so much time in art-making after the Bible stories and memorization of the verses. He wanted us to concentrate on winning their parents. The pastor and his wife were not so concerned of the elderly because I have my sister who is already 66 but she's oozing with ideas regarding what activities to do to be able to attract children and people to church. She's a Bible School graduate. But the pastor and his wife does not pay so much attention to her. In short when our former church in Iligan City opened a group chat we're able to open up our situation. They advised us to start our own ministry. So we resign from where we're attending and started our own ministry. At first it's in the form of Bible Study. Both my sister and I had finished a one-year training in the Bible School/institute so we train our young men how to lead. Our senior pastor and other brothers who had planted churches in other places encouraged us and visited us to help in our ministry. We have online communication often and they're good prayer partners. Since we started our ministry there are many struggles because I know we got enemies. The number one enemy is ourselves. The EGO. Satan knows our weaknesses and he will do all he can to discomfit us. But I learned to just stay close to God all the time. Now, it's my greatest desire to develop my character because this is most needed according to Chuck Swindoll not my professional skill. When I come across with your message about Joshua, I was doubly blessed with the impact of such message. All the examples you sighted were truly taking place in the common human mind and heart and I am one of them who has that kind of attitude. Pastor Bong, God sent you to my life to help me by the grace of God to slowly live a life that will allow God to slowly conform me to the image of His Son. Thank you for being a very effective vessel in the lives of His beloved children. I know we will meet someday in eternity at the feet of our blessed Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.
