Sylosis is seriously one of the best metal bands in the world right now. And Heriot is amazing as well.
Facts, Josh Middleton is one of the best metal musicians on the planet, god tier songwriter. The heriot collab was cool too and makes total sense because Josh produced their new album.
@@puppetmaster8551 I used to miss Jamie Graham for a long time, because the band moved away from melodic death metal after his departure, regardless current Sylosis sounds way better.
@@1trickingWidowmaker I don’t really think they moved away from it until later, edge of the earth might be their most melodic record and is like the perfect mix of melodeath and thrash, monolith to a lesser extent. I feel like dormant heart is when they started moving away from the more melodic sound some and then cycle of suffering and a sign of things to come is kinda when they fully moved away from the melodic sound. That being said Josh has talked about possibly making an EOTE2 so they might return to that in the future.
I prefer the „old“ Sylosis. The vocals were more versatile.

I have been very critical and not very satisfied with Sylosis' work lately, but this song gave me those vibes, I hope they make an album with the vibes that characterized them and their technique today 🤘

I've never been the biggest Sylosis fan, but I might have to give their back catalogue a re-examination because this rips! Debbie's guest spot is killer too, absolutely love Heriot.
I would skip Sign of Things to Come. With the exception of Deadwood.
Everything else is killer.

He escuchado todos los discos y ep de esta banda y puedo decir que este ya es uno de sus mejores temas y es su MEJOR videoclip oficial. ASI es como hacen las cosas Josh, porque este EP es mejor que todo el último disco de la banda. Que locura de riffs, esto es sylosis, gracias por no decaer ante las críticas y por el contrario sacar un material que es simplemente mejor y que suena 100% al sylosis que todos conocemos. Lo quiero loco, ojalá un día vengan a Argentina!

The heavy never went anywhere, cycle of suffering has some real heavy shit on it and ASOTTC had stuff like deadwood which was super heavy.
@@puppetmaster8551 A Sign of Things To Come was a big pivot from Sylosis as I knew them, and it was very metalcore. I didn't like it.

@@ROFLBOB24 agree to disagree, it ain’t their best shit that would be EOTE followed by monolith but it’s still a good record with tons of killer riffs and has plenty of heavy songs. It’s also definitely not just a metalcore record, stuff like godless throne is very heavy and absolutely not just metalcore, same goes for deadwood and multiple other tracks on the record. This song and this whole new EP were also made at the exact same time as ASOTTC.

New EP so not a full album but still 5 new songs that rip, had too many songs to all put on ASOTTC so instead we all got an album and an EP which is a fat W for us because Sylosis/josh don’t miss.
