No, I run a solar startup and had someone who wanted equity, but wanted a fully remote position. They were terminated. WFH helps build home culture. WFH = Minimum Wage If you want to work from home, you can compete with India and AI systems.

I remember when I first started in my current job, I listened to a co-worker sitting across from me how she spoke to customers over the phone, what she told them, etc. I learned a lot just from listening to her doing her job. Eighteen years later I still learn by listening to how my co-workers phrase responses to customers over the phone, what information they pass along to them that may be different than my understanding of the information, etc. I cannot learn this by sitting at home without co-workers around.
You can virtually work alongside coworkers as well. We share screens, video chat, email, constantly stay in touch with each other about work things. In my experience, working in the office you get exposed to not only the coworkers who are doing well enough to want to learn from, but also the toxic people who need to actually be fired. The gossip, the personal life sharing, things that are super irrelevant to the job. Learning from coworkers is not something that needs to happen in-person. There are some people who enjoy being social while working, then there are others who cannot be productive while being social. The option for people to choose how they work/learn best is the way to go. People who like the office should be allowed to go and socialize while working. Those of us who feel distracted and forced to be fake with their coworkers leave for the day feeling mentally/emotionally drained and then have to find personal time to actually do their work. Both sides should be respected, especially if they're great workers overall.

I don't see the problem with working from home. It's convenient for everyone. Too busy trying to make people conform.
Is it really convenient for everyone? I do hybrid and being able to ask questions physically is much more effective
By working from home I can live with my parents and save all my money. Can’t do that if I need to be near an office 5 days a week.
