"It'll be ready when it's fucking ready" She's a perfect chef already
🤣 at least she got that one right 😂
Was just going to say that 🤣
And she kinda almost used the "all day" phrase correctly
Why is everyone putting in their tickets at once?
Omg I went from serving to cooking for impatient inlaws and this exact line came out of my mouth 😂
Meanwhile Nico is probably still at his 1st table talking the customers into discomfort.
😭😭😭😭😭😭 @ Nico 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
'Hey people, how are we doing today? Can I get you any cocktails? No? How about some drinks?'
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Stop making me giggle
I think Nico would be great. Not as good as Pickles, though.
"Wait do we get tips?"
My favorite part 😂😂😀
My work is one of the only restaurants I have worked at where cooks/chefs get a percentage of CC tips. My girlfriend tells me she doesn't understand it but I'm not complaining when that 30 top comes in and they all order multiple courses.
Our kitchen staff do :)
Most casual restaurant in the philippines gives 50% of the centralized tips or service charge to the kitchen staff. Might be lower on some restaurants tho. To keep us from complaining of course 😂
I always told myself that when I actually had the money to go out to a restaurant, I would tip everyone that worked there that helped me out so the multiple wait staff, The cook, The bartender etc. I'm one that could eat McDonald's everyday so if I were to eat at a restaurant, Everyone would get at least $20 extra that night which is a lot to me. 🤷🏻♂️
Restaurants here split the tips equally amongst everyone. So the cooks, dishwashers etc will get the same amount as all of the servers. After all, they did all he’ll provide you your food. Plus service charge comes with the meal, so tipping here is just something extra. Kinda why it’s only a couple of quid here and there rather than 20% of the bill or whatever it is in America.
"Hey new girl, want some fries?"
The mating call of 90% of cooks
99% of cooks* (i'm a cook)
“Oh my god am I gonna smell like this forever?”
No. It’ll change when the menu changes. 😝
That’s actually a good one hahaha😆
Oh this comment made my day lol 😆
Haha!!
So, seasonal?
My uniform smelled like pizza, no amount of washing made it go away. 🙃
This is when servers find out why the cooks are always mad 😂😂
TRUE!
And they still act surprised
The cooks are always mad because of the servers.
@STOP THAT and yet they keep asking if we are OK, no we aren't fucking ok, stop talking, I have 20 orders to get out NOW
That line is HOT! 🔥 🔥🔥🔥
I got a server on the line the other day and he literally cried "I burned myself" holy shit you get the win
I'm a cook and when shit is hot it's hot man idc the looks I get I still have feeling in my fingers for right now
@@doctordumbass9425 how long have you been in the kitchen?
hahahaha “that plate’s hot” coming from a cook is completely different than “that plate’s hot” coming from anyone else.
@@Fireice2929 bout 4 months now
@@doctordumbass9425 Yeah give it a few more. You won’t be grabbing stuff off the burner with your bare hands, but plates stop being hot after about 6-8 months in my experience.
"It'll be ready when its f***ing ready"
Had me rolling 💀😭😂😂😂
Nothing has changed, Nichole had the right attitude for a chef she just needed the outlet 😂
she's a natural 😂
"wait wait do we get tips?"
As a cook I genuinely felt that. It's very frustrating when a server makes 3/4 of my whole 40hr check in 5hrs 🙃.
Just a reminder without the cooks you can't have a restaurant :3
@@josh216DS yea but dont forget that they only make that much 3 days out of the week. ive been on both sides and while it may seems cool they never tell you about the other 4 days where they only made 25-60 dollars for a shift.
When it’s slow, the servers envy the cooks’ steady pay and when it’s crazy, the cooks envy the servers’ quick cash. I know our top chefs made way more than us servers over the course of the year.
@@christurner7697 I'd rather get paid a prober wage than rely on my ass kissing ability and still have my money be a gamble.
@@doms.6701 yikes. Found the guy who hasn’t worked a day in his life
They 86’ed the Mahi Mahi caused it smelled like fish!!! Y’all I’m so dead! Lmao!!!!!!!!
“Hey new girl, want some fries?” 😂
Haha this!
Dead
Wasted no time
"Why is everybody putting in their tables at once?"
This question has haunted me.
I love your stuff about servers and dealing with customers, but as a cook myself, I particularly enjoyed this one. Excellent work.
Same :D
Same :P
Same
Same
@Koqui Onefourteen it's the number of orders you need in total or "all day"
“It’s so hot back here”
That’s why I always looked out for the servers that would check to see if I needed a water refill.
“It’s so hot guys, it’s incredibly hot” and “am I gonna smell like this forever” is too real
"What does 'all day' mean?"
"I don't know!"
But what does it mean?
@@Stripespin if you look at ALL the tickets you have and see 3 steaks you say "3 steaks all day" I'm just a server and observed this for the first time at my current job so correct me if I'm wrong lol
@@caitlynmeyer2109 nah you got it just means I got three tickets with steaks drop them all same time
@@Stripespin Essentially, if you ask for a number of something "all day," that means that's the total amount you need. So, if you have one person with two orders of fries and one person with one order of fries, you have three fries all day.
@@1snorelax this is slightly inaccurate as they aren't necessarily dropped at the same time (especially when you start considering different cooking temperatures)
The term "all day" refers to a baseline, simple and plain count. It doesn't convey when things were fired (when they began to be cooked) or when they're up (ready to plate); if expo says "3 steaks all day" that means the grill cook should see 3 steaks on the grill (again this may vary, for example on a ticket with a blue rare and hockey puck you'd drop the well-done a couple of minutes before the good one; in this example the cook is prepared to fire/sell a TOTAL count of 3 steaks, all day [as they'd account for firing times]).
“want some fries?” Being the go to way cooks flirt with you is literally so accurate I swear that’s their love language omg
"It'll be ready when it's fucking ready"
Something's don't change.
The cooks would be an HR nightmare out on the floor haha
I always wished that servers could switch for a day, or shit even a hour; then they’d get it 😂
Working at a pizzeria as a cook long ago I’d constantly hear servers drivers and hosts complain about cooks get paid more an hour and they all have to rely on tips. My simple response is this, if cooking is where the moneys at apparently then become a cook. They get real quiet. I was paid 11 an hour and had to watch them walk out with 200 after their shift was over. Not to mention all the holiday tips. I’m just saying….
At my job if they train you to, you do.
@@vonkjbgames9739 Honestly i think servers should just get the same wage as everyone else instead of 2.78 or whatever. As for tips, do away with it like most other countries. Just pay everyone a living wage instead of relying on the customers to be the sole reason the servers actually make any money.
@@alexismcneill6296 I’ll give you that. Fair
@@alexismcneill6296 most servers don't feel the same way
Can't wait to see the line cooks as servers.
I work in three kitchens and this sums up how the servers would react love this stuff😂😂😂
"why is everyone putting all their tables at once" story of my life especially on fryers
Wow 2k likes thanks so much y'all and I feel sorry for everyone who's had to go through that awful path
I feel your pain there. I once worked in a whataburger, they threw me in fry station with no training. I usually had no problems, until the lunch rush.. where they expected me to man the fry station and run food.. all on my second week there.. needless to say I left after a week.
@@christianruvalcaba7788 thats illegal you need to be given training you should have burned yourself and sued them.
@@wolverinexo6417 I'm a decent, honest person. I could never do that. I'm just not wired that way. I usually get tormented by my own subconscious whenever I do something minor like telling a white lie so I don't hurt someone's feelings, or so I don't have to give a lengthy reply as to why something did or didn't happen. 😞
Worked at kfc for 4 years (cook) while going through college. The amount of people who think whole chicken pieces cooks in 2 minutes is insane. People are stupid af. Once had a guy even start threatening the cashier, 6 dudes from the back all came into the lobby. He left real fast after that.
@@ginger_nosoul i feel ya. The only times I get upset is when I go to KFC and ask for chicken, then tell me they don't have chicken... the only thing you sell is chicken dude.. thats just bad management tho.
As a line cook, the sneaking the fry in the mouth bit is scarily accurate.
Lmao. I'm glad you did both sides of this switch lol. Both jobs are insanely difficult in most situations but for entirely different reasons. I used to be a cook being trained to be a chef and I would never be able to wait tables. But so many servers are entirely oblivious to what a cooks job is actually like and believe they could do our job better. I mean alot on both sides are oblivious but yeah.
Lol the guy w tongs. "I have this! Does anyone need this?!" Made me smile so much xD
Nicole is my spirit animal.
All of us!
She is a born leader
As the world around us continues to get worse and sad, you continue to bring the laughs. Thanks so much for all you do.
Nicole IMMEDIATELY going into line cook behavior 🤣
Oh my gosh Nicole being middle is actually perfect
Omg as a cook this KILLED me
Don't often see female cooks, you won't last long. Well I guess it depends where your work. Should clarify, you wouldn't last long if you work in an establishment that is somewhat busy. You wouldn't be able to keep up with the rush, more than one or two orders at once wouldn't be doable.
Same, lol
@@lukejposadas are you aware that this sounds very misogynistic?
@@lukejposadas wtf yikes
@@ashleybro6933 I think people use this word wrong. Only because there are very obvious differences between makes and females, one if which is stamina. Overall makes have more stamina making them able to work longer, harder, faster and in some cases better. Obviously there are some jobs that woman are much better than men at, would never get called out for saying that though. In my couple years as a cook we had a female lead, she had been a cook/chef for many years. I loved closing with her because she was super chill and worked her hardest all the time. That being said, she was never as good as her make counterparts. Not saying she wasn't a hard worker, she just couldn't keep up.
This is one of the best ones.
“I have this!” 🤣 gotta clack those a few times before use
*grins evilly* this is perfect
When I was a cook I would have loved to get the servers to work the line during a dinner rush so they can understand why cooks are the way the are.
Especially when they start making comments about how easy it is.
I want them to work a rush after they have been working for 8 hours already
"it's so hot guys, it's so incredibly hot" 😂😂
"am I going to smell like this forever" Yes. Yes you will.
It’s so hot guys it’s so incredibly hot 😂😂😂
As a line cook, this is soo accurate as I’ve seen servers come to the line and ask the exact same shit! Omggg you made my day and gained a subscriber ❤️❤️
I’ve cooked in a busy ass restaurant for 20 years and was the kitchen manager for 7 of them. You nailed that shit. Yes it’s so fucking hot and servers line their pockets with unsent checks like a homeless person might line their clothes with wads of newspaper in the winter 🤦🏼♂️
Servers do what?
@@MaryJane-tp3qd he nailed it
Unsent checks?
OH!!! YOU’VE OUTDONE YOURSELF !!! BEST ONE EVER!!!!

Its so amazing I had to watch it twice!! You are brilliant

Love your content man. As a chef I love seeing somebody who actually knows what they're talking about finally making content like this.
Nicole was the closest out of those three to sound like an actual cook 😂
She’s the HBIC
Lol I would all of these except “check my phone” (when tf do y’all have time to check your phone).
Respect the cooks for sure
During setup. Chefs have to do mis en plas during that time. Table setup is faster compared to that.
There are pockets of time during service also but I never learnt that from my colleagues cuz I was way too busy holding back my tears.
“I’m not eating that I’m on whole 30” ahahahaha
Whats *whole 30*?
Like an M30? 🤔
Pickles and Aaron are the same person except aaron is 20x more anxious
Technically all the characters are the same person 😜
Sorry I'm being an asshole, lol. I agree, they're both kinda lost and confused, but Pickles has accepted it and just makes a home wherever he gets lost TO
This guy needs a movie role😂 what an actor
You da man Drew!💕
Waiting for the Dishie Chronicles
🔥👏🍻
Haha hmmm
Chronicles of the underwater ceramic technician
It's hard to do those because they normally aren't around long enough to get their personality.
I like how Nicole turns into Joey if she’s a cook
These guys making pickles look like a genius 🤣
It’ll be ready when it’s ducking ready 😂🤣
It’s the cooks that woke their asses off more than waiters. Yet get paid a shit ton less.
i love the confusion 😭
When a server complained it was hot on the server isle, I would stand them in front of the wood burning grill on the line. They stopped complaining.
My husband did both worked in the kitchen and then became a server. That is when I met him I also was a server. we have been marred 49 years now. I love watching these shorts. they are so funny and do bring back good memories
Dude how on point all these videos are is crazy, like even the cook dude hiding the monster in one video
I love how far most characters have come, and Aaron’s just the same lmfao
“Does anybody needs this” yup definitely how new cooks act. Regular cooks just take it from you when they need it 😂😂
Give this man Oscar
I love this stuff. Ive been in the industry for 30 years this makes me laugh and brings back good memories.
"Wait we have to make it from scratch?"
Well yes Sherlock.
During the pandemic, half our kitchen got sick, so they used the Bussers, food runners, and expos help pick up the staff…this was what it was like 💀💀
Being able to portray a server pretending to be a cook or a chef is really showing skill.
New Girl still getting free fries 🤣
Nicole is a legend. Even if she doesn’t know, she can fool you into making you think she knows. I love her.
“It will be ready when it’s fucking ready” I felt that in my soul
Wow, you’re a great actor.
Absolutely hilarious. This guy deserves an Oscar.
The Mahi Mahi bit killed me
Nicole being expo is so fitting, she knows what all day means 😂
Nicole has been waiting her whole life to say that iconic phrase 😂😂
Nicole watches the kitchen she knows what to say
The best part is the cooks would be excellent servers since they know practically everything on the menu.
Brad was falling into place until he realized there are no tips😂
"wait, do we get tips?" No but you get an actual wage.
Aaron actually knows how to cook
I FREAKING LOVE THESE I DIE LAUGHING EVERYTIME
"There's no time to even check your phone."
At my restaurant, we renamed the server station to "Phone Checking Room"

Honestly servers would adapt faster than the cooks would 😂
Nicole has been ready for this her whole life
the fries part is extremely accurate as a line worker
this man is way too accurate with this shit🤣
All the tables at once hit hard
"I have this..!? Does anyone need this??!" 😂😂😂
This man has worked in restaurants before. I see this and have flashbacks lol.
Now I want to see the chefs as the servers 😂😂
Your videos are so relatable!
Dang that's way harsh and true. Nice work
I’d like to see the cooks being servers now 😂
Having worked back of house for 6 years and front of house for 2 years, this is so accurate 😂😂😂 one of my fav videos so far 🤣🤣
Salute to any line cook in any restaurant
that "taste the caramel sauce" really hit home when I was a fresh faced dishwasher.
Dude this was gold
Yessir. Back of the house: all the work, half the pay.
I know nothing of the restaurant business but I love these videos anyway 🤣
Lol I love this guy he’s so relatable
This is just when you fill shifts at different venues and none if the original staff are there lmao
