- Although Sheriff Laurie Smith hasn’t been charged criminally in the pay-to-play concealed gun permit scandal, Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen said his office’s criminal investigation helped pave the way for the Civil Grand Jury’s corruption accusations. Stephen Stock reports.

I wish they would investigate the other sheriff's in CA especially L.A. Countless celebrities have CCWs that have donated and supported the sheriff.
Investigative reporters should find someone of color with the exact same good cause as one of the celebrities or wealthy donors, apply in all the counties and get denied. I'm so happy that I now live in CO.

sad day you mean good day ending corruption now Jeff Rosen needs to reverse all charges involving illegal conceal carry. That would be actual justice though. Not this show we have here probably for not kicking down taxes on those bribes.

Why are CCW’S and coveted in California? It’s not illegal in Arizona? I thought it was a application process requiring background checks?
Because in LA county and the Bay Area I believe less then 1% of ccw permits get approved. So it's a, donate to my campaign or don't get one kind of thing.

District Attorneys should focus more on arresting criminals, rather than focusing on police and those people arming themselves for self defense to protect themselves from the real criminals they let out of jail.
