Your dad has the perfect realisation about Indian food. 30 years back, I told my German friends in Germany ‘ Indian food is something that people fear till they taste once. Then it is addictive and you just cannot stop ‘. It will lure the person to go to it often, wait for weekends and run in to it. That’s what your mom demands, am I right...! Guys enjoy the food and do make it at home too. These dishes are exotic. There are very simple and healthy ones and very tasteful at the same time which can be made at home. Have a great time. Just one tip in eating Indian food. Chewing and chewing, mixing thoroughly in the mouth enjoying the taste is the right way. That simplify the process in stomach and you will not have digestion problems.
The first time I had Indian food was a few years ago, and I was completely blown away. It was amazing. Unfortunately, I cannot find anyone that is willing to tag along for another Indian food journey.

The last all-you-can-eat Indian buffet I had was in Leeds, UK. There I was, stuffing my face with onion bhaji, chicken dhansak (a Parsi dish with a thick, spicy lentil-based sauce - my favourite) and whatever else looked tasty, when a bunch of girls walked in - obviously a hen party. They looked at the buffet, and then their spokeswoman asked the waiter in a broad, Yorkshire accent " 'Ave yer got owt that's not spicy, like?" The waiter looked at her and said, "Well, you know, there is a McDonald's just up the road..." At which point everyone in the restaurant burst out laughing.. The girls made a hasty retreat. Buffet looks great - my girlfriend's daughter lives in Miami Beach so I'll forward the video to her. Cheers, Keith (Brit in Berlin)
@@ktolwal The word spice gets mistaken for heat that's what frustrating cos spice also means flavour. The amount of times I have recommended people to try a balti dish or a bhuna, they end up playing it safe and order a korma 😂
The owner of the restaurant completed his graduation from International Institute Of Hotel Management it's located in Kolkata Salt Lake City , from there I am pursuing the graduation now..

Hey David, you might wanna come and try food in Indore next time. It's in Madhya Pradesh which is part of central India. Indore is also called street food hub or street food capital of India, along with Delhi. Amazing markets (like Sarafa which starts at 10-11ish pm at night) to get rid of your food cravings. Most of the things here are vegetarian but I hope you'll definitely love it.

It's pronounced chicken/pork Vindaloo which is an Indo-Portuguese dish from Goa. It has Portuguese roots and is a spin on Carne Vin d'Alhos which is meat prepared in wine vinegar.

Common misconception is Indian food is spicy guys it's not spicy it's flavourful it's a symphony in your mouth . The level of hotness can be adjusted as per your taste but it's not that much hot in general.
Try moong dal halwa, Its a lentil cooked in clarified butter dessert We also got gajar halwa, lauki halwa, badm halwa means carrot, bottle guard, almond.......

Common misconception is Indian food is spicy guys it's not spicy it's flavourful it's a symphony in your mouth . The level of hotness can be adjusted as per your taste but it's not that much hot in general.
