I remember watch the start of this war with my dad. The night bombing runs with tracers.
It was incredible. The part of it that I noticed the most, how LONG the tracers LIT up as they went UP. and how much it looked like Star Wars.
Now we have all these video games with the same effects, AS effects. But movies never showed tracers so well. It was incredible.
I can't believe anyone lived thru it really.
A different time. So unbelievable how strong we were then and how weak we appear now.
It mainly depends on our the populace support. Mostly during wars we are able to win the battles and wars if the populace supports it.

My nephew got accepted into the Navy. He has his 4 year college degree (pilots license) which means nothing to navy. Rhode island he will go to OSC school then Pensacola FL for naviator training. 2 year process. His goalnis fighter pilot. The late and Great Major Anthony Potts gave him the greatest recommedation letter toThe Navy. Major General Potts was died in july 2023 in a plane crash in Maryland. I am so so proud of my nephewm. Its extremely hard to get accepted. His father flew apaches during Gulf War. I guess its in the blood. ❤

I was going to say you’re wrong at first because the US clearly won, but this was just the first battle in the beginning of the conflict with Iraq that would end in thousands of Americans dying for literally no reason whatsoever and for Iraq to become a ravaged third world country that won’t recover for decades.
Even the initial strikes of Desert Storm that aren’t really talked about like the strikes on seed storage facilities, water osmosis facilities, wastewater treatment plants and the entire electrical grid caused the deaths of over 500,000 civilians in the coming months and years
