    One of the most difficult but most important parts of getting better at poker is having the discipline to fold. It's so counter-intuitive to a beginner and even intermediate player but hands like these just prove how fold discipline is probably the most profitable attribute a poker player can have. We've all been in spots where we absolutely know we should fold but we call anyway and immediately regret it, and this hand is one of those spots that 95% of poker players including myself would've continued on... Tony G gets the rep of a loudmouth gambler but this just shows how actually good at poker he is.

      I used to play a lot of FPS and I was kind of the guy that would get people acclimated to the team.
      I always told them the greatest skill you can have is knowing when to run away.
      As a developing poker player, I had to learn the fold lesson the hard way and am still learning it from time to time.
      It always sucks ass when you get the run bad and the few times you actually have a hand, you have to let it go.
      I don't know if I will ever get over this one fish binking his 1 out 3 times in the same hour against me.
      I have stacked that guy so many times it isn't funny and yet every time I see him, he brags about it.
      The annoying part is when he tells the story, he literally says, I got my money in bad and sucked out, and still has the audacity to brag about it.
      Rant over, I saw that guy today and he told me about that time.
      Best part is I have gotten like 5x the money he got from me that night since then, and he still brags about it.

    The fact that this is against Airball is what makes Tony’s lay down so good that it might be bad. Everyone knows Airball has a huge preflop range even in three-bet pots. Against most players in this spot as Tony G, you can accurately rule out Airball’s position having any T9, any T6, or any 54, and certainly KK. For check-raise flop and bomb turn from most players in Airball’s position, you’re looking at 88, 77, or air like QJs. We know, however, that Airball himself can have all straights (suited and unsuited), all sets except KK, and all kinds of crazy bluffs (like 74c) even as played. I think against the maniac that can have any two cards, aces on that board is just too strong to fold.
    A lot of people talking here about the live read on Airball of betting so fast and big on the turn means he’s strong should watch more Airball. The dude does the same with absolute garbage. Maybe Tony G got some other live tell.

    He’s lucky airball smashed the turn with a donk bet.

    He should have checked back the turn as if the 6 made him nervous and have a better chance of getting paid on a river bet.

    No brainer.
    With how fast that guy bet out when the turn came, I would've bailed as well.
    Airball should've waited and made it look like he was really mulling it over before raising.
    And his raise was WAY too high. Dead giveaway he had the nuts.

    That’s not the first time since J4 somebody has been implying a hand wasn’t straight. Obviously you can’t rig a deck, but I believe the possibility exists in more than a few players’ minds. Definitely not what you want to hear players saying if you’re Ryan Feldman

    • @tomemeigh5338
      @tomemeigh5338 Год назад

      Of course you can "rig" a poker deck. You know every variable.
      What you can't rig is how the players play that deck, but you certainly can rig it if you want to.
      I doubt that it is ever done, but if someone were going to do it, it would be HCL. EVERYTHING is about money these days, and if you can make a buck by doing something wrong, then it's right.
      Isn't that "The American Way?"

      @@broderickhunt5388why wouldn’t you be upset, someone makes a straight right on the turn and you have to fold an overpair… also if that happens to you all the time you might want to make sure the game you’re playing isn’t setting you up or you just think it’s happening all the time and people are bluffing you

    • @broderickhunt5388
      @broderickhunt5388 Год назад

      @miketang8719 kind of hard for me the accuse the Aria of setting me up but worst happens to me daily. On friday double board Omaha bomb pot I have AAKQ double suited to the A. An A comes on both flops not a connected and a rainbow flop on both boards. Two players goes all in so I push. Player one runner runner flush on the top and player two runner runner on the bottom. Both suits opposite my double suit. They had no pair after the flop and pushed. On Saturday I have AQ34 double suited in the blind. The board comes A25. The opponent pots so I went all in he said you flopped the straight I said yes and he called anyway. We ran it twice and he catches a flush on both boards. I always feel like I'm set up.
