I use to hate on naruto because I was such a big dbz fan I would say he had nothing on goku when I was younger. I now say naruto is one of the best anime of all time.
Shinobi is the japanese word for ninja while ninja is the chinese word for it, though they are kind of synonyms since the japanese language also has a slimmed version of the chinese alphabet "kanji", the two other japanese alphabets also have chinese origins even though they are not very similar anymore, so the origins of japanese and japanese words are sometimes hawrd to even distinguish Oh man the music in the early Naruto was just something else
Great show to start! So just to clarify so there's no confusion for later eps, the clone jutsu from the scroll is different from what they were tested on in the classroom. The one in the classroom are illusory clones that are not physically solid whereas the ones naruto did were all solid and were not illusory (which is considered a highly advanced version compared to the illusory one).
You are in for a trip with this show, it will make you go through every emotion, especially in shippuden, I will say avoid comments that look like spoilers like the plague the naruto fan base are tedious about spoiling.

Please try to watch it subbed. It’s the official version. The dubbed version is rather cheesy and it doesn’t have the same level of emotional intensity. Thanks

funny how people say, when sub is always before dub, say that the dub is the official version 🤣😂🤣 I agree with you here. i watched both and the sub has way more emotion hands down. I find it funny that anyone can even question the level of the japanese VA's over english VA's. When it comes to Naruto, their dub is trash for the first how many episodes before even compares to the japanese version 🤣😂🤣 But i understand to some extent. I've watched dbz dub before the sub when i was young and tbf i liked the dubbed dbz over the subbed version. But you cant deny the english VA's of dbz. They were WAY better then the english VA's of Naruto... Its like comparing 4kids one piece dub with crunchyrolls one piece dub...

Time to go into crippling debt with all the tissues youll go through watching this show. I wouldn't watch for years because I felt like they copied Goku too much with Naruto. Finally watched it and now, it's the best story that has ever been told to me at least. Narto's growth and his impact on others is just beautiful and it actually takes a long time for him to become powerful. He's not just overpowered for no reason. He needs a lot of support in the beginning. I think you guys will love it. You should really skip the filler episodes though. They are so bad.

A ex-girlfriend showed me this anime, she showed me a few ninja fights and then I started watching the show. I couldn't stop watching it haha
This series is dark but it's iconic. It's better than dragon Ball z when it comes to emotion.
