Celi Bitshou, de son vrai nom Bitshoumani Boniface, fait partie des nombreux Congolais de Brazza qui ont fait les beaux jours du TP Ok Jazz. Bassiste et compositeur à succès, on lui doit notamment Infidélité Mado ou encore Mokili matata dans cet orchestre. S'étant brouillé avec Franco Luambo Makiadi vers 1974, il décida de former le groupe Celi Bitshou où en véritable machine à tubes il sortit notamment Sacrifice ya pamba et Hélicoptère (avec Djo Mpoy à la 1ere voix ténor), mon ami etc.

With “Amour Propre” by Celi Bitshou, and “Pongi nazwa Te” by Mamaki with the late great Josky. Both songs very much in the vein of “Mon ami”. I’ll upload them soon, I’m sure you’ll love em too!

I think verckys hired him for composition and bass player. Original veve songs were his tunes. Verckys was only moneyed.
