agree with the LBY comment. You try to explain to people that polishing a game is usually one of the last steps in making a game but they just say that Paralives is an indie game and already have visuals 🙄 ignoring the fact that PL is on patreon and if doesn't look good will probably not be backed
well Sims 3 is still selling for them and the price has not been lowered, so I don't see it being abandoned. i wish the older games were not abandoned but the older games really show how Sims 4 is lacking.
For what it's worth, I've noticed the comments on the LBY videos have become a lot more positive since the announcement of the March early access date. Their recent videos are quite entertaining and interesting if you haven't seen them yet. I'd be upset if they quit releasing their weekly updates. I also fear the demise of Sims 3. Luckily I have almost all of the EPs on disc, but I hope they don't shut off my access to my store content purchases.

I find your videos so chill to listen to I love them 😊I won’t stop playing the Sims 2 or 3, and I will never play the Sims 4 again , or 5 probably whenever it releases. IMO EA have killed the franchise but they can never take away the good parts of it, there’ll always be a way to play the older and better games.
I think a lot of the grouchy graphic complaints are mostly from S4 players because of the realistic style. The sims fanbase has gameplay players and asthetic players. I will agree that the people in LBY do need more work, which Tectonic have said are working on improving. I think the graphics of the world look better than before. The story telling will be wonderful and I can't wait. (From the way I see it) People that are loyal to Sims 4 use the ugly defense to jusify spending $1000+ on this game. They are in sunk cost fallacy and believe the grand of money spent must be worth it. It doesn't matter if Sims 2 or LBY have amazing gameplay. Because older sims games and LBY are not as cheery as 4, they are worser games only because of the look and style. Some of the fans even call Paralives ugly. Creators have made tons of mods to make Sims 3 look much better and more fun to play. I am sure the asthetic loving fans will stick to sims 4 and Rene. Those who love gameplay will move on to ParalIves, LBY, and other simulators in the future or also continue playing sims 2 and 3.
Love your videos! I have been playing Sims 3 somewhere near 10 years. I have some Sims 4 content but no longer play that one. (Too expensive!) The first Sims 3 RUclipsr I subscribed to was Llandros09. Love his challenges and Let’s Plays. I learned so much from watching him play. He has been dealing with health challenges for the last few years, so no new content. But still worth watching.
Thank you for the mention - yeah, cancer sucks but the effects of chemo have just about done me in. I'm not sure if I can ever get back to anything close to normal again but thank you for mentioning me. I miss making videos very much!
Is anyone else having issues with launching the sims 3 from the EA app? It's been like 5 days since I had some problems with the app not loading the games and since then I can't play the game and I'm on the edge of tears.

I really love the colours you used in this renovation 😊 my opinion is that the sims 3 can be kept alive as long as there is a community and players even though EA abandoned it, this is the same for sims 2 and ppl still make new worlds, mods and CC for TS3 so i think it still has mileage and I certainly still LOVE it 😄
I’ve never been more invested a Sims let’s play more than I was invested in Acottonsock’a lepacy. It wad better than Netflix at times. I always fire up the sims 3 & play my own game when she is live too! Starwinxie’s Lepacy has similar vibes, & she is hilarious. I always look forward to her streams I’m pretty sure that Satch said that there would be no sims 5…..it’s going to be a separate game alongside sims 4, and the sims 4 will continue
I love your chatty videos. I also love you shouting out other creators, I hadn’t heard of most of them. RUclips has a habit of just recommending big creators to me. I love finding smaller creators whose personality I jive with, though. So far I checked out SimsySims and she’s awesome! So nostalgic. As for TS3, I’ll always try and play it. I’m so grateful for acottonsock’s videos on how to get TS3 and TS2 to run on modern systems. Bc it would NOT run on my laptop I got in 2020. I’m sure one day it won’t work on modern systems and you’ll need to buy older hardware like people do with 80s and 90s consoles. I beg them to port it over by then. 🙏 even if Life By You is fantastic, TS3 is so nostalgic for me.

Andrew Arcade's let's play are legendary. I look at the Sims 3 and see so many ways they could have kept the game going it really was the pinnacle of the sims franchise, Great video bro!
The reason EA won't re-release and update their old SIms games, is simple, MONEY, to update them, they would have to hire someone extra probably, to do it, and even if they had someone already, they would still have to pay them to update them! And since they aren't really that bright, obviously, they don't get the fact that they would most likely make all their money back and then some, especially with The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, their most popular games in the franchise! Though I do only play TS4 now, since I can't play The SIms 3 because it crashes, no matter what, it did it back before the TS4 came out, and I had a PC that was more then enough to handle it, but now with Windows 11, I can't even do anything except install it, not play it! Though it can still be played on Windows 10, which I do have a PC with that, but I only have TS2 on it, because it doesn't crash like TS3! I love Plumbella, she is my favorite Sim playing RUclipsr, she is much more honest about how she feels about the games, unlike some others, used to watch Fake Gamer Girl, but when she went bit too far complaining about having all her videos demonetized by RUclips, for all the swearing she does, and also sometimes her videos were just mostly her babbling on and just swearing a lot, and not much else, I just had to stop! She's just another one who also spends way too much time reminding us of her Patreon and other money making things, and always talking about being disabled, which being someone who is myself disabled, and knowing how many TikTokers especially love to pretend to be disabled to get people to give them money, I just dropped her! There's people, in the world with I am a lot more problems then her, I am one of them, at least she can do something like what she does, I sure as hell can't, I couldn't even afford what I would need to have my own YT channel! But if I could, I would make sure not to do the things she has done, she should have known that YT would at some point sooner or later, start cracking down on those who seem to like to test the waters too much to see what they can get away with or something, I guess! Well with her it sure seemed like it! I mean Plumbella swears too, but then she doesn't care about YT money, she has her own store, where she makes her own merch, and she also has a lot problems, but she has manage to pull herself up, without asking for hand, outs or whining about her troubles! And she hilarious!

I used to watch all kinds of Sims player but never watch a Sims 3 let's play. Your Sims 3 vids makes me like it so much that I install and play it myself, I still enjoy watching you play it more though lol. Sims 4 have become too boring to watch with hundred of mods to make the gameplay barely entertaining. It's only good when it comes to speed build or renovation vids.
I have 4 valid theories 1. The Sims 3 is very realistic in so many concepts which makes it very ratched and raunchy and that would be a problem for EA because today there is this woke wave and the people who join this thing they would destroy it and EA would lose money. That is also the only available justification of why the Sims 4 became so childish and disgustingly cartoony. 2. EA is too rich and just don´t care because they can wipe their asses with millions dollars (i'm trying to say that they are just petty). 4.They have a monopoly in the simulation concept and they can abuse it as much as they want because people will not stop buying their stuff. 3. The scam of the DLCs and the dependency of most users to play the Sims 4 is EA´s milky cow because most people is afraid and think that they will be ruining their devices if they try to play the Sims 3 or the Sims 2 even tho everyone hates the Sims 4.
Recently I wanted to get back into The Sims 3 again, only to find out that I belong to the unfortunate number of players that can't download any expansions in the EA app. Even though this issue apparently already lasts for the whole of the year, EA has done nothing to solve it yet. So it actually feels like abandonment is right around the corner.
I just found your channel while I'm browsing sims 3 gameplay videos here on RUclips after installing sims 3 and all its DLC on my sister's gaming pc. And I just hit sub haha. First of all, I appreciate your insights about sims 3 and you are one among the few RUclipsrs who appreciate what it brings on the table. I grew up playing sims 2 and at the time sims 3 was released, I could not get it because our pc back then did not meet the minimum system requirements, talk about potato pc lol So yeah my sister and I wanna give sims 3 a shot and among its sequels, we haven't tried playing it yet. Sims 4 is also nice but it is so overrated and I always find myself getting bored after 15-20 minutes of gameplay. Anyway, looking forward to watch more of your content. I enjoyed watching this particular video and I wish your channel would grow. You deserve more subscribers!
7:14 oh yeah thats exactly what it is. the sims 2 was free to download the complete collection(as a 'gift' i got that notification via email) all dlc when the sims 3 ended and they were hyping up sims 4. months later its completely scrubbed from ea stores everywhere. NO coincidence its obvious...

I don’t think I’ve touched sims 4 in like 2 or 3 years? Sims 3 is still fresh to me despite playing it since 09. There’s so much to do and so many ways to customize your experience. I actually prefer the art style of 3 over 4. With that being said I also like the way LBY looks.
I don't think the Sims 3 will truly "die". Just as how people today are still playing the Sims 2 and the Sims, there will still be people that play 3. As long as it has its fans a game will still be played and talked about. Also in the event that a game becomes abandonware and is no longer being sold. There are "other" ways to acquire them. 🏴☠ Hey, if the game company doesn't want people to do it, than maybe don't remove the only avenue to purchase it legitimately. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That's me. I still play TS3 and I don't even have all the Expansion Packs because the four I have are obviously fun enough to keep me playing for over 10 years. I'm happy to report that the modding and cc communities are picking up on EA's slacks, if not for their free to download mods and objects, I would have stopped playing 5 years ago. We should be giving the modders 40 euros for the mods that make the game playable, instead of paying the same amount for unplayable and buggy EA packs. And you're right, if it stops being made legally available, we'll all go to the high seas and ahoy, mate.
The Sims 1, 2 and 3 are being deliberately hidden by EA, which we saw as soon as The Sims 4 was out.. you were told to buy it literally *in The Sims 3's launcher* so what else can you expect from them. I liked Sims the best when it was Will Wright's and Rod Humble's because they put their soul into it so I'm hopeful for Life by you..
Ea had at least the decency of still have 3 be purchasable through steam and it's launcher. 1 and 2 are *no where to be found legally* outside of expensive old copies.
I'll never leave The Sims 3, because of all the great CC and mods that just keep the game fresh. Even when I struggle with that error 12, the only issue I ever ever ever ever have for my game, I still love Sims 3. And as long as RUclipsrs continue to put Sims 3 videos out I will continue to watch, especially the long videos those are my favorite to listen to while I play.
I know this is silly but for the error 12 have you tried using nraas saver? Because honestly since I’ve been ‘saving as’ every 25 min, I’ve stopped having that problem. Saves tend to bloat when you leave longer period times in between saving and when you save over the same file, which leads to the error code and sometimes corruption as well. And I use a desktop btw.
I don't think the Sims 3 could ever truly die out unless it becomes unplayable on current/new technology haha. It is still my fave to this day and even with LBY and Paralives, I don't think they will replace TS3 for me, they will just be other options for probably certain aspects I prefer using that day. Thank you 💜😫 I always assume EA is money motivated in their best and worst decisions. I would not be surprised at all if they take the fact people only have one real life sim on the market and use that to boost sales for ts4. Smart for them, sucks for us.

sims 3 is def gonna become abandonware, i feel like the sims 3 store almost counts already. i've been downloading those items and worlds from alternate sources for years and not once have i faced a single consequence beyond issues that the items themselves have, which ea never patched. and life by you is definitely getting hurt by the preview releases. the sims 4's lifespan has defo turned its community toxic, not just from ea's behavior, but also from the sims 4 becoming very mainstream and attracting tons of people with no prior experience with the game or its community. the paywalling drama from last year would never have happened in the past, the community was always very against paywallers until a ton of new players came in from outside any gaming community or especially from second life and imvu's playerbase where that's the norm. i don't care for life by you's graphics either (never liked super pillowy alpha cc with 1 billion clothing folds) but the aggression and suspicion are undeserved. it just needs some better shaders, the lighting is way too harsh.

Interesting point about the general pool of players for the sims 4. I know this is a little random, but I tried being in a sims group on FB (it was mostly sims 4 content) and they were always arguing over something lol. The toxicity was wild. The sims 3 & 2 groups are so much more chilled and actually about the game.

literally all the sims 4 creators you named are the ones i watch lol. Sims 3 will never die, I always end up getting bored with sims 4. Ive played all (The Sims, Sims 2, 3 and 4) and though they all have something specific i love about each The Sims 3 is THEEEE BEST.
The Sims 3 will *NEVER* die. It will always be many people's favorite life sim game. I don't think TS5, Paralives or Life By You will be good enough to replace it. They'll probably run better and maybe look better (I think Life By You actually looks worse), but The Sims 3 is so fun to play I don't think these game will be able to compete.
I still play Sims 3 and also Sims 2. I have no use for Sims 4 (I have the base game, but only because I got it for free, and I haven't played it much because it's not very engaging). I've pre-ordered Life by You. Even if I decide I don't like it that much, I expect to get enough play from it to justify what I paid for it. I'm also interested in doing the early access and having some input into the game's final development. I'm also looking forward to Paralives, quite honestly. Unless The Sims 5 is awesomely amazing, I'm not giving EA any money for it.
totally agree on Ryan Sims and of course Rekowski!! Will definitely check out the others you recommend. One I would add is CJPlays, his world videos are great but his current not so berry challenge is hilarious im more invested in and excited for each episode than I am for anything on netflix etc 😂
I agree!! Aside from the constant Sims 4 DLC shilling, the Sims 4 videos have been so repetitive and tiring. It’s literally just build challenge videos one after another like “every room is a different…”, “I only have 10 min to build” where they just randomly plop items down with no thought into it. Or it’s videos reviewing new packs or ranking packs (and clearly you can see they lied how much they loved packs) or endless speculation or Sims 4 new videos. You know who I’m talking about…
I wouldn’t call Sims 3 Abandoned Ware until that damn sims 3 store closes down and everything in it is for FREE for download on the store prior to shutting down.

Same here. I keep hearing complaints, but the game looks fine to me. They need to fix the shoulders, but considering they have been making lots of improvements based on feedback already, I have no worries that they will come through.
I was told its copyright issues because they have brand names and facsimiles of real people so can't keep selling it after the copyright goes out. Or thats what I've been told for 1 and 2
I truly would have paid EA for the Sims 2 but they wouldn’t let me so… I had to get it how I had to get it. They are the only one losing out on that… I’m not moving to the Sims 4 just because EA isn’t selling the Sims 2

I totally agree with everyone saying EA is trying to push people more towards sims 4 on newer operating systems /consoles and honestly they started on the wrong foot when the game originally came out practically not finished(no kids or pools). Today I just found out that you can no longer play the sims 4 unless your Mac is the newer version even if you upgrade to Catalina because of the metal that newer macs are made with. I feel so bad for people who just started getting into the sims and bought all of those $40 packs for nothing. Not everyone has money to drop on a new computer, console, or expansion pack. I wish they left all sims games playable no matter what system you’re on like back when they were in disc form. I think it’s up to the fans to keep making game mods and cc to keep sims 3 alive because I know EA won’t.

Sims3 is the GOAT for the most Creative Perks! Sims2 gameplay was so fun and random! It is worth to play both S2 and S3 forever. Sims4 it's sims but only perk is the looks, in build and cas but soulless gameplay! Sims4 simmies look like dummies waiting for our commands, while previous they more spontaneous and feel alive!! If any sims gonna die... That would be Sims4 for sure! 😂
I just wish sims 3 could go back a version so I don't have to use EA's terrible launcher. Life By You is making a lot of updates and changes every week and the improvements are visible. This week was able to see animation improvements. I'm bouncing between Sims 3 and Sims 2 for different feelings while I wait for Life By You to come out allll the way in March. Why March.... March is so far away I just want to play LBY now.
I thought EA lost the right to sell ts2 or something and that’s why they made it free to download for a while until they couldn’t sell it anymore. (That’s what I gathered out of the situation, but now I’m second-guessing myself lol)

Because older sims games and LBY are not as cheery as 4, they are worser games only because of the look and style. Some of the fans even call Paralives ugly. Creators have made tons of mods to make Sims 3 look much better and more fun to play.
I am sure the asthetic loving fans will stick to sims 4 and Rene. Those who love gameplay will move on to ParalIves, LBY, and other simulators in the future or also continue playing sims 2 and 3.

The first Sims 3 RUclipsr I subscribed to was Llandros09. Love his challenges and Let’s Plays. I learned so much from watching him play. He has been dealing with health challenges for the last few years, so no new content. But still worth watching.

I really love the colours you used in this renovation 😊 my opinion is that the sims 3 can be kept alive as long as there is a community and players even though EA abandoned it, this is the same for sims 2 and ppl still make new worlds, mods and CC for TS3 so i think it still has mileage and I certainly still LOVE it 😄
I’ve never been more invested a Sims let’s play more than I was invested in Acottonsock’a lepacy. It wad better than Netflix at times. I always fire up the sims 3 & play my own game when she is live too!

I also love you shouting out other creators, I hadn’t heard of most of them. RUclips has a habit of just recommending big creators to me. I love finding smaller creators whose personality I jive with, though. So far I checked out SimsySims and she’s awesome! So nostalgic.
As for TS3, I’ll always try and play it. I’m so grateful for acottonsock’s videos on how to get TS3 and TS2 to run on modern systems. Bc it would NOT run on my laptop I got in 2020. I’m sure one day it won’t work on modern systems and you’ll need to buy older hardware like people do with 80s and 90s consoles.
I beg them to port it over by then. 🙏 even if Life By You is fantastic, TS3 is so nostalgic for me.

The reason EA won't re-release and update their old SIms games, is simple, MONEY, to update them, they would have to hire someone extra probably, to do it, and even if they had someone already, they would still have to pay them to update them! And since they aren't really that bright, obviously, they don't get the fact that they would most likely make all their money back and then some, especially with The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, their most popular games in the franchise! Though I do only play TS4 now, since I can't play The SIms 3 because it crashes, no matter what, it did it back before the TS4 came out, and I had a PC that was more then enough to handle it, but now with Windows 11, I can't even do anything except install it, not play it! Though it can still be played on Windows 10, which I do have a PC with that, but I only have TS2 on it, because it doesn't crash like TS3!
I love Plumbella, she is my favorite Sim playing RUclipsr, she is much more honest about how she feels about the games, unlike some others, used to watch Fake Gamer Girl, but when she went bit too far complaining about having all her videos demonetized by RUclips, for all the swearing she does, and also sometimes her videos were just mostly her babbling on and just swearing a lot, and not much else, I just had to stop! She's just another one who also spends way too much time reminding us of her Patreon and other money making things, and always talking about being disabled, which being someone who is myself disabled, and knowing how many TikTokers especially love to pretend to be disabled to get people to give them money, I just dropped her! There's people, in the world with I am a lot more problems then her, I am one of them, at least she can do something like what she does, I sure as hell can't, I couldn't even afford what I would need to have my own YT channel! But if I could, I would make sure not to do the things she has done, she should have known that YT would at some point sooner or later, start cracking down on those who seem to like to test the waters too much to see what they can get away with or something, I guess! Well with her it sure seemed like it!
I mean Plumbella swears too, but then she doesn't care about YT money, she has her own store, where she makes her own merch, and she also has a lot problems, but she has manage to pull herself up, without asking for hand, outs or whining about her troubles! And she hilarious!

I have 4 valid theories
1. The Sims 3 is very realistic in so many concepts which makes it very ratched and raunchy and that would be a problem for EA because today there is this woke wave and the people who join this thing they would destroy it and EA would lose money. That is also the only available justification of why the Sims 4 became so childish and disgustingly cartoony.
2. EA is too rich and just don´t care because they can wipe their asses with millions dollars (i'm trying to say that they are just petty).
4.They have a monopoly in the simulation concept and they can abuse it as much as they want because people will not stop buying their stuff.
3. The scam of the DLCs and the dependency of most users to play the Sims 4 is EA´s milky cow because most people is afraid and think that they will be ruining their devices if they try to play the Sims 3 or the Sims 2 even tho everyone hates the Sims 4.
Recently I wanted to get back into The Sims 3 again, only to find out that I belong to the unfortunate number of players that can't download any expansions in the EA app. Even though this issue apparently already lasts for the whole of the year, EA has done nothing to solve it yet. So it actually feels like abandonment is right around the corner.
I just found your channel while I'm browsing sims 3 gameplay videos here on RUclips after installing sims 3 and all its DLC on my sister's gaming pc. And I just hit sub haha. First of all, I appreciate your insights about sims 3 and you are one among the few RUclipsrs who appreciate what it brings on the table. I grew up playing sims 2 and at the time sims 3 was released, I could not get it because our pc back then did not meet the minimum system requirements, talk about potato pc lol So yeah my sister and I wanna give sims 3 a shot and among its sequels, we haven't tried playing it yet. Sims 4 is also nice but it is so overrated and I always find myself getting bored after 15-20 minutes of gameplay. Anyway, looking forward to watch more of your content. I enjoyed watching this particular video and I wish your channel would grow. You deserve more subscribers!

7:14 oh yeah thats exactly what it is. the sims 2 was free to download the complete collection(as a 'gift' i got that notification via email) all dlc when the sims 3 ended and they were hyping up sims 4. months later its completely scrubbed from ea stores everywhere. NO coincidence its obvious...

I don’t think I’ve touched sims 4 in like 2 or 3 years? Sims 3 is still fresh to me despite playing it since 09. There’s so much to do and so many ways to customize your experience. I actually prefer the art style of 3 over 4. With that being said I also like the way LBY looks.

I don't think the Sims 3 will truly "die". Just as how people today are still playing the Sims 2 and the Sims, there will still be people that play 3. As long as it has its fans a game will still be played and talked about.
Also in the event that a game becomes abandonware and is no longer being sold. There are "other" ways to acquire them. 🏴☠ Hey, if the game company doesn't want people to do it, than maybe don't remove the only avenue to purchase it legitimately. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That's me. I still play TS3 and I don't even have all the Expansion Packs because the four I have are obviously fun enough to keep me playing for over 10 years. I'm happy to report that the modding and cc communities are picking up on EA's slacks, if not for their free to download mods and objects, I would have stopped playing 5 years ago. We should be giving the modders 40 euros for the mods that make the game playable, instead of paying the same amount for unplayable and buggy EA packs. And you're right, if it stops being made legally available, we'll all go to the high seas and ahoy, mate.
I just got it off steam and they have sales on ep's. I had it before on cdrom but my computer doesn't have a cdrom now😅

The Sims 1, 2 and 3 are being deliberately hidden by EA, which we saw as soon as The Sims 4 was out.. you were told to buy it literally *in The Sims 3's launcher* so what else can you expect from them. I liked Sims the best when it was Will Wright's and Rod Humble's because they put their soul into it so I'm hopeful for Life by you..
Ea had at least the decency of still have 3 be purchasable through steam and it's launcher. 1 and 2 are *no where to be found legally* outside of expensive old copies.
I'll never leave The Sims 3, because of all the great CC and mods that just keep the game fresh. Even when I struggle with that error 12, the only issue I ever ever ever ever have for my game, I still love Sims 3. And as long as RUclipsrs continue to put Sims 3 videos out I will continue to watch, especially the long videos those are my favorite to listen to while I play.
I know this is silly but for the error 12 have you tried using nraas saver? Because honestly since I’ve been ‘saving as’ every 25 min, I’ve stopped having that problem. Saves tend to bloat when you leave longer period times in between saving and when you save over the same file, which leads to the error code and sometimes corruption as well.
And I use a desktop btw.
I don't think the Sims 3 could ever truly die out unless it becomes unplayable on current/new technology haha. It is still my fave to this day and even with LBY and Paralives, I don't think they will replace TS3 for me, they will just be other options for probably certain aspects I prefer using that day. I always assume EA is money motivated in their best and worst decisions. I would not be surprised at all if they take the fact people only have one real life sim on the market and use that to boost sales for ts4. Smart for them, sucks for us.

sims 3 is def gonna become abandonware, i feel like the sims 3 store almost counts already. i've been downloading those items and worlds from alternate sources for years and not once have i faced a single consequence beyond issues that the items themselves have, which ea never patched.
and life by you is definitely getting hurt by the preview releases. the sims 4's lifespan has defo turned its community toxic, not just from ea's behavior, but also from the sims 4 becoming very mainstream and attracting tons of people with no prior experience with the game or its community. the paywalling drama from last year would never have happened in the past, the community was always very against paywallers until a ton of new players came in from outside any gaming community or especially from second life and imvu's playerbase where that's the norm. i don't care for life by you's graphics either (never liked super pillowy alpha cc with 1 billion clothing folds) but the aggression and suspicion are undeserved. it just needs some better shaders, the lighting is way too harsh.
these are really good points! I’m glad you mentioned the sims 3 store cuz even with the switch to the EA app a lot of people randomly lost their store content it’s wild. and i agree the sims 4’s lifespan has contributed to player discontent for sure!
Interesting point about the general pool of players for the sims 4. I know this is a little random, but I tried being in a sims group on FB (it was mostly sims 4 content) and they were always arguing over something lol. The toxicity was wild. The sims 3 & 2 groups are so much more chilled and actually about the game.

literally all the sims 4 creators you named are the ones i watch lol. Sims 3 will never die, I always end up getting bored with sims 4. Ive played all (The Sims, Sims 2, 3 and 4) and though they all have something specific i love about each The Sims 3 is THEEEE BEST.
The Sims 3 will *NEVER* die. It will always be many people's favorite life sim game. I don't think TS5, Paralives or Life By You will be good enough to replace it. They'll probably run better and maybe look better (I think Life By You actually looks worse), but The Sims 3 is so fun to play I don't think these game will be able to compete.

I still play Sims 3 and also Sims 2. I have no use for Sims 4 (I have the base game, but only because I got it for free, and I haven't played it much because it's not very engaging). I've pre-ordered Life by You. Even if I decide I don't like it that much, I expect to get enough play from it to justify what I paid for it. I'm also interested in doing the early access and having some input into the game's final development. I'm also looking forward to Paralives, quite honestly. Unless The Sims 5 is awesomely amazing, I'm not giving EA any money for it.

Aside from the constant Sims 4 DLC shilling, the Sims 4 videos have been so repetitive and tiring.
It’s literally just build challenge videos one after another like “every room is a different…”, “I only have 10 min to build” where they just randomly plop items down with no thought into it.
Or it’s videos reviewing new packs or ranking packs (and clearly you can see they lied how much they loved packs) or endless speculation or Sims 4 new videos.

Same here. I keep hearing complaints, but the game looks fine to me. They need to fix the shoulders, but considering they have been making lots of improvements based on feedback already, I have no worries that they will come through.

I totally agree with everyone saying EA is trying to push people more towards sims 4 on newer operating systems /consoles and honestly they started on the wrong foot when the game originally came out practically not finished(no kids or pools). Today I just found out that you can no longer play the sims 4 unless your Mac is the newer version even if you upgrade to Catalina because of the metal that newer macs are made with. I feel so bad for people who just started getting into the sims and bought all of those $40 packs for nothing. Not everyone has money to drop on a new computer, console, or expansion pack. I wish they left all sims games playable no matter what system you’re on like back when they were in disc form. I think it’s up to the fans to keep making game mods and cc to keep sims 3 alive because I know EA won’t.

Sims3 is the GOAT for the most Creative Perks! Sims2 gameplay was so fun and random! It is worth to play both S2 and S3 forever. Sims4 it's sims but only perk is the looks, in build and cas but soulless gameplay! Sims4 simmies look like dummies waiting for our commands, while previous they more spontaneous and feel alive!! If any sims gonna die... That would be Sims4 for sure! 😂
I just wish sims 3 could go back a version so I don't have to use EA's terrible launcher. Life By You is making a lot of updates and changes every week and the improvements are visible. This week was able to see animation improvements. I'm bouncing between Sims 3 and Sims 2 for different feelings while I wait for Life By You to come out allll the way in March. Why March.... March is so far away I just want to play LBY now.
