    What type of affirmations do you feel work best?

      Essentially, you want to write affirmations that resonate with you, so prioritize that. Many people write them in the present tense, from a place of 'I am' this or 'I have' this. You want to reaffirm these affirmations as true right now. Also, avoid negative words or language as the subconscious mind isn't good at differentiating negation. For example, "I am not stupid". The subconscious doesn't do a good job of detecting the word 'NOT', so you might end up telling yourself the opposite of what you want! Instead, reframe it to something like 'I am smart'.
