  • For the first time in the UK, William Kentridge's anamorphic film 'What Will Come' was shown at the Regency Town House, Brighton during the William Kentridge Exhibition mounted at the University of Brighton from 7th November to 31st December 2007.
This projection onto a table of an animated narrative sequence is read by the viewer from its transposition onto a reflective cylinder. This clip forms part of a documentary by Ian McDonald and Tom Hickey on William Kentridge and the politics of art in post 'anti-apartheid South Africa, due for release in 2010.

This is why I think W. Kentridge is the most brilliant living artist. He has created a perfect "cyclic model". A work of art. A miniature world operating as our own earth operates, in a grander universe.
*it is much more impressive to see one in person.
