What's the point of cutting the outer points? Just cut it open. No instruction needed.

I cut them off so I don't injure myself being that I was not using a cutting board. I had to get the bracs out of the way

just cut it from any side ..there is no requirement of 'how to open/ cut...' totally waste of time!!
Many was unaware though
The bracs are not so easy to cut through and a cutting board was not being used, so they had to be removed to minimize the possibility of injury.

So many fruits can be grown in Jamaica had some Rambutan and Longan from the lychee family recently. I never saw dragon fruit, but a lot of fruit native to Asian countries can be grown there

Jamaica is a tropical country.
Any fruit that can grow in a tropical or subtropical climate will grow in Jamaica.
Remember, most of our fruits that we have did not originally come from Jamaica, they were imported from other countries. Fruits like mango, banana, Ackee, breadfruit, jackfruit, sugar cane and much more, they all came from somewhere else.

It actually grows wild in Jamaica. It's mostly the yellow verify and they are not that big. But they have been there for years.

You can just cut it in the middle, you can also peel it. There's no need to remove the bracs. Also that dragonfruit is not yet ripe

All the dragon fruit I have ate in my life time has always been white never had a pink flesh
well, its time to try this one.
Reason why it’s because it’s hard to keep fresh once ripe the one you had aren’t ripe. They pluck them prematurely hence the white skin. There’s other native fruits with this issue as well. Pawpaw fruit is terrible at staying fresh but taste so good
What is the point of cutting the outer parts??? They’re not spiky or hard, we Asians eat dragon fruits whenever in season, just take a knife and cut open, ain’t no complicated instructions.
