So this is what my sister was talking about. She has terrible handwriting and she said she is gonna get an ipad for her university. Now I know why

If you have a samsung with a stylus in the notes function there is a handwriting function changes handwritten to text to.
But its not the same as here. It basically looks like writing in word then

if you go into the text keyboard you will see the three dots click on those and it will pull up more options the second option is handwriting which will allow you to use the pen to hand write messages and convert it to text. This can be used for the notes sections as well as on presentations, copy and paste sections in anything with a text box such as texts, or internet pages.

Btw if you’re interested in the pencil like cover/grip for the Apple Pencil, I have it and it is very hard and uncomfortable to the grip, plus slippery. If you’re going to draw or write a lot, I don’t recommend it. They released one with a better grip, but I don’t see much improvement in shape for a more ergonomic grip. You’re better off getting an ergonomic grip that is thicker and better shaped, if you care for comfort and not developing or worsening calluses. They’re also cheaper. At least that’s my opinion as an artist.

@@bells.09 the app used to be pay only, now theyve made it free with additional features you can buy. Not as bad as notability who is now based on a yearly subscription... (also used to be one time purchase app)

@@M31863The amount of of writing you need to do in law school is CRAZY. There’s even a class called Legal Writing and Reading to prepare you. Having an Ipad is helpful. My mom had to have hand surgery from all the writing she did in law school. She no longer reads physical books for pleasure either because of all the reading she did, preferring audiobooks.

I study medicine but sadly I can't afford an iPad to write my notes on like my classmates but then I remember the fear of breaking it, losing it, if someone stole it, so I'm kinda happy that I dont really need one yet.
haha i used to do this in sixth form! such an efficient way of writing everything down neatly for class, i also had a journal on goodnotes that i would actually write in simply because it felt more authentic and therapeutic to have those things in my own real writing even if it was digital but for class i always used scribble to type or whatever its called 😂

make sure you ask your proffesor about using an iPad. a lot of them don't care but some could possible allow open notes and won't let you use it digitally. happened to a friend of mine ;(
