If you were watching this out of context, you would not know this was for a scene with animated chickens covertly building a flying machine. Humbly epic.
This piece of music is absolutely spectacular! I've been listening to it non stop for the last week. John Powell is a genius and possibly overtaking Christophe Beck to be my favourite composer. The music in Chicken Run is fantastic just like the music in How To Train Your Dragon. Brilliant! I love this man! I don't see how anyone could have disliked this video
John Powell has the spirit of Dreamworks. He'll throw anything and everything at the wall to see if it sticks. Sometimes he makes a few misses, but his hits... *Man, his hits...* Some of the best music ever made.
Someone should perform this as a flashmob next to a construction site. No matter what they are building or how long it's supposed to take, by the end of the song it will be finished.
Excelente banda.sonora que le pusieron a la película la vuelve más épica .la escena donde muestran el avión ya terminado, es la mejor con la música.. la 2 parte está muy lejos de igualar a la primera..🇪🇨
Ironically, that part with the triangle is not in the film. Instead, we just hear the pie machine starting up and breaking down and Mrs Tweedy calling Mr Tweedy an idiot before kicking his arse.
How so? I always thought of it as anarchists escaping capitalist domination (from mrs. tweedy's obsession with profits) and staring their own commune but that could be completely off
@@levmarchuk998 No, the farm is representing a German prisoner of war camp in WW2. It started off as a spoof of The Great Escape and you can see the similarities, especially in their initial escape attempts at the beginning
“Okay so the movie’s about chickens...”
“Say no more” *makes one of the most epic scores of the naughties*
noughties
"Hello, Tesco, I'm going to need a dozen kazoos for my new film score. It's about chickens."
"Say no more."
Spot on
"I told you they had an orchestra."
omg ahahaha I laughed so much
LMAO
The musicians are revolting!
Finally, something we can agree on.
If you were watching this out of context, you would not know this was for a scene with animated chickens covertly building a flying machine. Humbly epic.
Especially with the voices saying "don't give up, don't give up"...
A group of chickens building an aircraft to fight for their lives and freedom. Epic and inspiring haha!!
John Powell is the MAN. Fav composer for sure. Who else would use kazoos!? Genius
Their mistake for not putting his name at the start of the video!
@@therealarien wait, didnt they literaly do that?
@@hansvangrunsven2073 it couldve been edited to include his name
Jerry Goldsmith was also known for using unconventional instruments.
Tchaikovsky would not have flinched at the thought of kazoos. He was perfectly ok with cannons, after all...
How to Train Your Dragon, Chicken Run man John Powell's a legend
His name must be vindicated along other great composers like Williams, Zimmer y Silvestri
@@Dalaexperience Don’t forget Ennio Morricone.
This song still has my favorite use of kazoos in a film score...ever!
How many do you know?
is there any other OST who use it??

Low bar, but I totally agree!

I’m confused can someone explain pls

As a commenter stated below, it was probably Mrs. Tweedy that disliked it. :D
Count that he did Chicken Run with a help of Harry Gregson-Williams and How to Train Your Dragon alone

MRS TWEEEEDY! THE CHICKENS ARE REVOLTING!
Finally something we agree on.
To this day one of my favorite movie scores and a comfort movie
lol I dunno why, but that part from 1:35 always makes my cry while smiling. This soundtrack is very emotional.
Ikr
Omg I cried while smiling too I'm feeling weird xD
OMG!!! I thought I was the only one. Me too. It's just so powerful. It's an indescribable feeling. It always makes me shutter and smile and cry.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one. John Powell tends to make me cry and smile at the same time. He's so good!
It's amazing....i'm crying Heard it....waoooo it's a song foor gods
This is how to train your chicken to run.

Genius, could use a montage too
*2:00** That part... Incredible. The chickens trying their hardest prove that they are the only chance to defeat Mr. and Mrs. Tweedy.*
@bliz 👍.
Es impresionante es hermosa....me trae una mezcolanza de recuerdos

Mrs Tweedy disliked this...!
Good heavens no, I'm a chicken, the Royal Air Force doesn't let chickens behind the controls of complex aircraft!
Masterpiece. Truly, truly a masterpiece
Guy with the triangle. There is always a guy with a triangle and I always feel sorry for him
haha you made my day..
Ironically, that part with the triangle is not in the film. Instead, we just hear the pie machine starting up and breaking down and Mrs Tweedy calling Mr Tweedy an idiot before kicking his arse.
The ending was awesome!
I bloody knew they were kazoos!
What did you think they were before?
Let's see some thumbs up for Powell, Gregson-Williams, Aardman, DreamWorks, and kazoos!!! Very well played! Awesome soundtrack!

I hope Harry Gregson will step up and do a solid with a Netflix Chicken Run sequel
This is truly a beautiful master piece. Well put and just the whole rhythm and overall feeling to it is remarkable. I truly love this song
Minuto 2:36 me parece que estuviera viendo una marcha hacia el Valhallah propio de las películas nórdicas
kazoos FTW!
This is epic :)
I love how all the choirists have kazoos XD
the first scene with kazoos was the best one, lol
One person thought thumbs down was the Panic Button...

I know this is from chicken run, but it's sounds like it fits in treasure planet.
The switchover in 1:39 from a bit somber/slightly playful to epic and stirring.

I think its interesting that John Powell's works sound similar. I mean, doesn't this sound like something from the How to Train Your Dragon score?
Does anyone know where I can get the score and parts for this?
