How great to have an in depth analysis from a knowledgeable person. As the mainstream media collapses into stupefying infotainment, it is good to see somebody picking up the slack.
True, but there are more of those in the region including Netanyahu. But I guess that’s done to non Jews, and no ine will do much about it. UAE is worse than Assad in terms of its crack down on opposition. And the definition of opposition in UAE will shock. You wouldn’t believe what people got life sentences and death sentences for. An example is a couple of UAE citizens sent a very mild open letter to UAE Bun Zayid despot and they’ve put away for life or sentenced to death. I don’t remember anymore but it’s easily checked. The Saudi prince running Saudi now is not only a despot but a psychopath. The Egyptian regime…on and on and on.

Good Assad is gone but don’t think everything is going to be a bed of roses there. Somehow rebels become dictators. Especially seeing the wealth that comes with power.
There’s no wealth in Syria - at least not now. It’s a broken country with half its population either abroad or internally displaced. The UN says that 70% live below the poverty line.
