Thank you very much. Once I got the pattern to get them painted figured out, it went a lot easier. The next big colorful ancient painting challenge will be Persians.
Great looking army. Easy option is to do your own opponents for them solves the opponent problem straight away and gives you another project victrix Romans are pretty cool.
Thanks, Anthony. The Carthaginian Army I have is comparable if I used the German contingent as Gallic Allies. I'm doing some classical Greeks too at the moment, so conceivably battles over Sicily with Gallic mercenaries might be fun. I mentioned it on the video, but I was mumbling very badly and the heat wasn't helping .lol
One look at your figures and one can only say that you can be more than proud of it! Impressive in every kind, James. Superb detailled paintwork in a masterclass. The figures, the horses and the cariots; very cool. I wish you a nice weekend, James. Greetings, Joachim
Thanks, Joachim. The Gauls are one of those armies, like napoleonic Austrians, that present an endurance challenge to figure painters. The project took quite a while. I'm glad you liked it.
Thank you very much. I found the Victrix ones more enjoyable to paint than the Warlord ones. The book is very interesting with a lot of archaeological insights into the Gauls/Celts of central Europe. I enjoyed it a lot.
Truly superb, a fantastic and very impressive army, leaded by some great command stands, your work on these bases is awesome...it's an honour to be an 'infortunate victim' on this kind of base! 👍👍😍😍👏👏Oh, I forgot, impressive collection of heads as well... 😉
Great looking miniatures! I too am working on an Army of Gauls; currently it is exclusively composed of Warlord figures. Once I’m done, I will probably add Victrix models, as you have.
Thanks! I really enjoyed the Victrix ones a lot. I just found I was able to sustain my enthusiasm while painting them a lot easier than the Warlord ones.
Thank you very much. The shields became a bit easier once I got them into a process. I had to approach it like the shields were a separate figure to sell the idea of all the painting time to myself.
Thanks, Ginzio. I'm leaning more toward the 5th c. 3rd c. Greeks at the moment. (Late) Republican Romans might be the next, next Ancients project, but who knows?
Thanks, dude. I'm glad you liked them. I have to give some credit to Victrix for their great sculpts. Kept me motivated....sometimes....between shields. lol
ありがとうございます、ダイバーさん。I'm hoping I can build up my ancient Greeks to that level too. I've got enough minis to last me about 3 years in the backlog - and that's disciplined buying compared to a lot of people I know in the hobby. lol.
@jvcpaints As broke as people here are in the states. I'm surprised they can still spend they're money on unless junk perpetually with no thought of emergencies like busted car engine
@@holydiver539 All my thoughts are of the lightening strike emergencies, like the car engine crapping out on you on a Tuesday kind of things. There is a lot to be said for being ready to face unforeseen circumstances. I can only imagine the vacuum between the ears of someone paying $15K for a Taylor Swift ticket.
@jvcpaints Americans are really dumb when it comes to their money. They'll bet on anything and charge everything to their credit cards with no thought of consequences. Women especially hold one trillion dollars in credit card. Debt in the United States, not to mention one trillion dollars in tuition, debt. As for spending, five hundred and seventy dollars on a ticket to go see taylor swift It just shows you that a fool and their money are soon parted
Nice work James
Thank, Lucian. It was a long project...
Simply Stunning James, not seen anything to match this mate well done
Thanks, Sean. Yeah, this project started like 8 years ago but I just added little by little. The Victrix sculpts kept me motivated.
I am just amazed how you hand painted those shields, they look awesome !
Thank you very much. It was a long, long project. Thanks for checking it out!
A fantastic army - and so well painted. You've done a great job with the intricate clothing pattens too. They look superb.
Regards, Steve

This army is amazing James!!! I love all the detail you put into it. Gorgeous work :)
Thank you very much, Dan.
Those command stands are incredible man! Just wow
Cheers, dude. I'm glad you liked them. The Command stands are the most fun making those little vignettes.
Excellent collection, well done Mate 👍
Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you liked the army.
A gorgeous looking army James, some amazing brushwork. :)
Thanks, Cal. I'm glad they're off the bench and in the case. How's your training going?
Excellent brush work. Thank you for the info on the book at the end. I just purchased it.
Thank you very much. I found the Victrix ones more enjoyable to paint than the Warlord ones. The book is very interesting with a lot of archaeological insights into the Gauls/Celts of central Europe. I enjoyed it a lot.
Simply breathtaking, James! Absolutely well done!
Thank you very much, Josh!
Wonderful painting style on those figures James. Well presented too. Best Regards BB
Thank you very much for the compliment and praise. I'm glad that you enjoyed checking out my work.
Really impressed by these James
Thank you, Justin. I'm a big believer in "forever" projects.
Wow what an awesome looking army ! Very inspiring
Thanks, man. It was a bit difficult to get all of them on the table. A battle with two armies this size would be a blast.

Thank you Phil. It was a great project to do. I learned a lot and it was fun to paint.

Fantastic figures buddy 👍
Thank you very much, sir.
Fantastic looking army.

Thank you, Gav. They were a project that I really stuck with.
very cool!
never heard of these b4
thank you
Thank you very much. I'm glad you dug the figures and the army.
Lovely work James. Can’t believe you free-handed those shields, must have taken ages. The results are great though. 🙂
Thank you very much. The shields became a bit easier once I got them into a process. I had to approach it like the shields were a separate figure to sell the idea of all the painting time to myself.
Very cool! 👍🏻
Thank you very much.
Well Done 👏
Thank you very much.
Cool models.
Thank you very much.
Great project, it is nice cinder it all in one video.
Now you have to paint a ton of Romans and you are good to go
Thanks, Ginzio. I'm leaning more toward the 5th c. 3rd c. Greeks at the moment. (Late) Republican Romans might be the next, next Ancients project, but who knows?
these looks fabulous dude !! ..... love me a tactical rock 😀
