Great review and glad you had a good experience and found so many great comics. Awesome that the two of you were able to spend time together at the store.
Your review about the Midtown outlet is really accurate. You went on a good day, sometimes they can be crowded. You should also check the lower boxes most people don't even bother. They usually have sales every weekend and they follow a pattern 25% off, 40% on regular back issues, buy more save more etc. As you can tell I go there a lot. I think Brian would like the store too, they have a lot of independent comics in the dollar bins. Since your collecting Milestone comics, you might want to go to Gotham Thrift in Ridgewood, I saw a whole bunch in their dollar bins. Thanks for the content
Glad you enjoyed, could definitely spend the day there going through those $1 bins. Only problem with the lower bins is my knees can only take so much. One of the problems with getting old. Will definitely check out Gotham thrift, thanks.
@wylierichardson-tu6zs yes they really had nothing that old. I haven’t come across many places that do, except st a convention last year, one vendor only had Golden Age books
Sorry to tell you. This is my lcs. Up to last year they were awesome. Unfortunately I don't know what happened, they changed. Their 99c bin is pure garbage. You can't pay me to take them. Their back issues and wall books are way overpriced. And Jerry the owner is a real idiot. He yells at his customers. And I have many other bad stories to tell. Stay away they stink, horrible lcs that nobody in ny goes to
@@jcoroner1189 sorry you had such a bad experience there, we have been dealing with Gerry for months now and has been nothing but nice to us. As you can see by the video we had a good time and found some stuff.
Thank You. After watching this video today , I went to the midtown comics Astoria store. I picked up a few (15) $1 books and found a wonderful new rabbit hole to fall into head first. - I found 2 issues of the series MR HERO - the nematic man - inspired by Neil Gaiman. published in 1995 by TEXCHNO COMIX. I never heard of the company or the book series before today - now I can look for the remaining issues at my leisure YES I know N Gaiman is not a gretat guy and is on 357 different shit lists but love his work.
Thanks for taking us along. Great pick ups!
Thank you for watching! Happy Holidays

I love the idea of a comic shop outlet. They must have so much stuff to sell!
Right isn’t it a great concept and Midtown does it so well, lots of older stuff
They do, but one era in which ithey fall short is Golden age. @@Collectorsconfessions

Looks like I need to take a trip to Astoria!
You absolutely do! So many comic books there at really good prices plus tons of dollar bins
Wow
So many comic books so little time
I’m assuming the shop that wasn’t open was Silver Age? 😂
Yes is it ever open?
Some day I'll meet Bryan and we can figure out who the biggest Skateman fan really is with some sort of awesome roller-skating competition.
We will definitely film it!!!!
Where can I get that Spider-Man shirt she has on
It’s a Disney Parks t-shirts, she bought it a Disney outlet

Worst music ever! Is that 2 tracks playing over each other?!
At what point we have been having issues with RUclips and adding music to certain spots

So glad you both enjoyed the video and that you found some cool comics at the Midtown Outlet. Never heard of Mr. Hero but would love to hear more.
