Hello man I need your help, i follow ed your instructions step by step but something went wrong. I wanted to enable my 5ghz so my bluetooth did not interfere with my wifi when using my firestick. So I did your tutorial but for some reason I can connect to wifi anymore on any device. I think it happened when I enable the mac filter. Help please. Thanks in advance
If I have a Belkin N300 router now. Hooked wirelessly up to to my wife laptop Windows 10 and hooked up to my desktop with Vista32 by ethernet to modem. Can I use same password with the N600-NP E2500 router.or would I have to start over using the setup disk?
Once I have set up the router using the computer and tested it using another wireless device, will I be able to unplug my computer and plug the cord back into the modem without deleting or ruining the settings I just created? Will the wifi still work? Thanks!
I think, while setting up the router, you must be connecting the router to the modem. If you disconnect the router from the modem and connect computer instead then your router will lose Internet access. How many ports do u have on your modem?

Yes, it is possible. If you are using a wireless router and it is setup properly then you will see the wireless network available. You just need to connect to the wireless network on your smartphone or other devices and get connected.
Thanks for the quick response. In the manuel they said that you need to register the extra device on the program. Nice to know its not necessary. So the register is only the first time with your computer to setup the router right? And after that you can connect other devices just with the password like other routers.
@@kishansoerdjpal That is correct. Once the router is setup using primary computer, it is done. You just need to connect other devices to the network, wired or wireless.
It is also possible to change your primary computer later once the router is setup. If you want to replace the primary computer with the new one, that is also possible. You can also setup Linksys E2500 router without CD or installation program. Do it manually. Here is link for detailed instructions.

What if your computer doesn't have an ethernet port
You can try connecting to the wireless network of the router. If it is initial setup of the router then reset the router to factory default settings. Connect to the default wireless network of the router. use password admin. Then open the setup page of the router. Change the Internet connection settings according to your ISP. You will need to personalise the Wifi settings. When you change wireless settings using wireless connection, you will get disconnected. So you will need to reconnect with new wifi settings.
