Hello Steven, I just stumbled on to your videos. Thanks for your detailed instructions. They are a big help since I'm transitioning from Windows to Mac. There's a lot of new changes from 4 years ago when I set REAPER up in Windows with Mike from B.J. Keep up your good work and teaching the novice and experienced.
Hi there! Thanks for your amazingly informative vids! couple questions: now that the latest version of Reaper has the ability to analyze RMS before you render, do you still need the DP meter? Also, why are you downloading both the AU/AAX and VSTs for the SPAN? I thought that AAX was for ProTools? Thanks!
i really appreciate your vids..i actually loaded everything with u in your vids. i also would like to know any vids u would reccoment as far as producing and recording music. if not its ok. Thank you so much. you are greatly appreciated Steve.
Hi there. Thanks for the kind words. Well, this channel is mainly for voiceovers and not music, although I've been a professional instrumentalist and arranger for quite a while... and I have produced music with Reaper. I think someone like Jon Tidey from ReaperBlog or any of Kenny Gioia's videos would help. There are others out there.
Yes, it is. From time to time, TBProAudio will upgrade their software. dpM5 still does what 4 did. Reaper does have a JS real-time loudness analyzer which is pretty good called the Loudness Meter Peak/RMS/LUFS . It's more bar graph-y than numbers as dpM is. Either will work well for VO purposes.
Hi I have a problem with my daw in my iMac, I use reaper and I have a M-Audio 2x2 interface the problem is that when I try to record it doesn’t record I already select my m-audio as a predetermitade microphone but still don work Can you please help me?
