  • Welcome to my classroom!
This video is part of my Stata series. A series where I help you learn how to use Stata. In this video, we look at how to construct groups and loops in Stata!
Note: What I show here is my take on the topic. I would be happy to receive comments!

Hi steffen. Thanks for the wonderful video! However, I don't know why the loop doesn't work with my stata 18, I have done every step exactly as you indicated.

Hi! Thank you for the comment. It is difficult for me to see exactly what you did, but please note the use of ` ' around the references, such as when I write `var'.
Feel free to mail me on the channel mail with the question. You could then attach the do-file you wrote.

Nice explanation. Can you show us how to split our dataset into training and test sets? for example 80:20? thanx

Hi Steffen, I have a question regarding the grouping of variables. Say I group my main variables for my 2 models in 2 groups; main1, main2.
If I summarise both these groups, I get some variables which appear in the table twice. This is logical of course, but I was wondering if there is a way I can filter these duplicates out?
    Kind regards,
    Thomas

Easiest would just be to construct a third group that comprises the variables you wish to summarize.
I am currently not sure on how to do this. I will look into it!
