You're welcome! That's a great touch! I had an FM broadcast dual loop antenna I was going to use up there for other frequencies but it's fixed length and I pick up FM fine so I decided against it.
I appreciate your advice, I a beginner in shortwave listening. The white coax go to radio antenna. My radio is a Tecsun pl 330 I use a clip connecting to longwire antenna 50’ I really confused how connect white coax to a clip telescope antenna of my Tecsun pl-330 radio. Thanks 😊from Puerto Rico.
Greetings from Sweden! You, Sir, just got yourself a new subscriber and a thumps up 🎉 I'm about to set-up this monster 😅 I'm a total noob so i need some advice❤ Questions. Why did you connect it to the wip antenna outside, was that the ground? If the wip is ground, you connect both attic wires to only one connector on the 1:9. Im a bit confused. Making a dipole by using both connectors. Making a longwire using one connector and ground it. I have looked for descriptions, but i get different answers so im about to go outside with a manometer and some wires and test the ohms. If i not reply to your eventual answer, well, you can send me a prayer 😂
Isn’t that a balun, as in for a balanced antenna such as a dipole and not for an end fed wire? I believe there is a mod, something about cutting a trace, that converts it for end fed. Thanks.
Thanks for showing us around. I'm looking to do the same attic setup with an additional discone for vhf uhf and trunked DMR

Nice ! You are really digging into this .
Thanks, Scott! This was a nice setup.
I should show the balun and ground for the fence antenna. With that I got really really fantastic reception.

It is a balun, but I think one end is for a grounding line.
Your attic is kinda creepy! I’m looking to build something similar soon. Pretty sure my attic is equally creepy.
Nice! Lol it sure is. Your assessment is correct hahaha.
It used to have a resident raccoon...
I gotta try this.
Please do!

The only thing missing is a flux capacitor.
Cool.

Thanks, Jeff!

The white coax looks like a TV 75 ohm coax...
I think it is.
Later Gater.....clip
Haha, indeed.
