Everytime the judge said horrible mom, 'an angel got its wings.' 😇
🤗
You couldn’t get a better judge. Her honesty is so needed in this world. Equally, there has to be justice. Great job
And she is so pretty too!
I completely agree. In the handful of videos that I've watched here on RUclips of this judge in the courtroom, she's consistently very informed on her cases, thourough and professional. She's awesome.
Absolutely! May God continue to bless her and her love ones
cassandra castro made one of the most graceful, humble, and powerful victim statements i've ever heard. if that defendant has a shred of a conscience, it had to leave a lasting impression.
I was crying at the end. First time that young man heard words of love and healing.
Judge Boyd is fair but lowers the hammer when needed. Victim impact statement was so powerful. Prayers for the victim's family.
It was the first time, I’m sure, he heard words of the ultimate love and healing he can find
As soon as she found out that mom was using with her son that was it for her. I could see a total change in her behavior after that. Lol
Who knows maybe he got on drugs because of his disgusting mother.
And rightfully so. Like who does that?! I’m a mom of 2 boys. One is 15. I could NEVER imagine doing any drugs with my child. Especially meth.
@@morganmua5681my ‘boy’ is 29. I’ll still have conversations about cases I hear of people who die from drugs with fentanyl in it. He’s never tried anything, and I warn him now is not the time to ever try it. I also send you tube stories of it happening to my daughter to watch with her 14 and 13 year olds sons - not to take anything anyone gives you. I’m in my 60s…what the world is facing now is scary.
How can any parent justify using drugs with their child?! 😡
Heard you the first time
She uses it. He probably helped her get it. So she did it with him. She’s a pathetic parent for doing it. She probably thought she was the cool mom but all she did was guarantee her son would be a lowlife criminal.
If you ever get the answer please let me know so I can understand how my ex husband cooked meth with his own daughter and introduced his son to someone who led him into distribution to the Mex.Mafia-so grateful my children survived and reclaimed a good life-I will me er understand parents who do this! !!!!!
Love the repeated horrible mom. Dang right. She ought to look in the mirror and own what she did to lead him there. Pos.
Agree! It was so impactful every time Judge Boyd said it.
Well spoken Cassandra. Courage, emotion and the ability to forgive
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very well❤
My great fear is how his younger sister fares given the atrocious parenting.
Oh she'll get pregnant with a fellow drug abuser and the cycle will start all over again.
I absolutely LOVE Judge Boyd!!! She doesn't hold anything back!!! I cant even believe his mother even came to court and give a statement!!! She is a horrible mom and so is his step father!!! I hope he takes advantage of all the help that he can can get!!! 35 years was an appropriate sentence in my eyes!!!
The adults in his life should be on that prison bus with him. Tough decision but a just one.
I feel for the victim’s family and his friends.
I pray that Grandma and the system get that young man's sister away from that HORRIBLE MOTHER!!!
My heart broke for the victim’s daughter. She’s a beautiful lady with a beautiful soul. The grace and forgiveness that she extended to the defendant was quite touching. I don’t know if I could if I was in her shoes . She did what Jesus would do - forgive. I wish her peace, love, and joy in her life.
yeah any more assumptions? you dont know her, do you? how can you know what she is with anything? gurl bye. facts over feelings next time
@@jemandjemand2362 Did you get your fee-fees hurt? Mind your own business, GURL. GURL BYE AND GET HELP.😘😘😘
@@jemandjemand2362 DID YOU EVEN LISTEN TO HER WORDS?? SHE SAID EXACTLY WHAT SHE FELT. No you didn’t. P.S. I live in Bexar County. She’s been on the local news and in the paper. if you listened to this video you would NOT get your ass frosted. GURL BYE 😂😂😂 get a life😘😘😘😘
i listen to her and now? anything else from you? have several seats. why should i care where you live? ahahahahha stupid@@Monica0978
Not everyone follows the religion you believe in though
When in doubt, pull out the mental health card and the bad childhood card. Because none of us ever had that happen to us.
That prosecutor knows how much Judge Boyd makes the distinction between mistakes and poor choices…
No one makes mistakes, they make choices. Umbrella Story.
I absolutely love Judge Boyd. She's tough but fair. I love the way she gave it to that despicable "mother" rough and raw with no chaser! A "mother" using meth with her son? He never stood a chance but he has to pay for what he did. I hope he can find peace with himself. I hope his pitiful "mother" suffers every single day for what she put her son through. Heartbreaking!
The daughter broke my heart. I can relate losing a father but not being murder. I know that is a different hurt. I will pray for her and her family
Just because you are biologically able to have children DOES NOT mean that you should. This is the perfect illustration
I agree with the Doctor that this boy can be redeemed but he cannot go back to live with mom.
She’ll be dead by the time he gets out.
@@Woodman-Spare-that-treeHopefully.
I can’t even lie. The victim impact statement brought tears to my eyes.
Mother is deplorable. This is so sad.
This was a horrible case, prayers for the victim and his family.
I love Judge Boyd she tells it how it is while showing compassion. She said horrible mother many times just so she could feel it.
She used meth with her son WT😮 NO MAM !!!!!!!!! She lost me right then and there !!!! Sad my heart breaks for this family need a lot of prayer and work 🙌🙏❤️🥹🙌
What do you think she was using when she was pregnant?
I could see her struggling over whether she would tell the truth or not in response to that question.
the corrupt parents' should serve the same
Yah I agree.
We really needed a reaction cam on horrible mom and horrible step dad
This judge is amazing. We need more like her.
omg lmao. she DRAGGED TF OUTTA HIS MOM
She read the mother for filth!!!! 😎😎
Both lawyers did a fine job. The defense attorney can only do much given the facts.
Cap. That defense lawyer was trash, bro sounded nervous asf too, shaky voice, tons of stuttering, reasking questions ruining momentum. Horrible attorney, I wouldn’t pay him after all that
He murdered someone for NO REASON and for that he should have received more than 35
The mom should be ashamed of herself!
Judge Boyd is so eloquent with her words.
I believe very strongly in the saying “There’s no such thing as bad kids, only bad parents.” While I agree that now he’s legally an adult he isn’t a biological adult, because a man’s brain isn’t developed until about 25. The only guidance his “mother” gave him was how to ruin his life & the lives of other people.
And yet they are allowed to drink, do drugs, vote, drive cars, purchase weapons etc all before their brains are developed. They can't have it both ways: do all those things and when it goes wrong and someone dies say it's not their fault because their brains aren't developed.
I was raised by a horrible and abusive father. I made lots of bad choices. I never ☠️ anyone.
BS. Stop making excuses. We have many 18-25 year old males and females that are responsible and respectful to others. I know some children are negatively affected by their upbringing but everyone can ask for help unless mentally ill (has no cognitive ability to think rationally). No excuses in this case!
Anyone notice that you can almost tell when judge Boyd is done listening to 🐂💩
You used meth with your son on the same day with your son..😳 Wot a great mum and fantastic witness.😅
I do agree with Judge Boyd 100%! But this kid NEVER had a chance.
That's not true. It's a choice. My husband's childhood was as bad as a person's childhood can possibly be, in every way, but he grew up strong, honest, hardworking, and loyal. He made a choice at 17 to run as far and as fast as he could, and he did exactly that. He could have easily wound up like this kid, but he made the conscious decision not to. He's the best parent I've ever seen, and is so much more than the way he was raised. This young man had a chance, he simply chose not to take it.
@@mellveeI see this sentiment a lot, but it's not a binary thing, not all criminals had messed up homes, and not everyone from a messed up home will be a criminal. But what you will find is the majority of people in prison had bad homes or mental health issues, it doesn't excuse their crime, no one is saying they shouldn't be punished, but we can acknowledge that having terrible parents and upbringing is more likely to put you on a bad path than having a happy childhood, I mean it's just common sense right?
Going to have to go back and count the “horrible “! Love it !!
Super Judge Boyd!Very fair and dishes out a lot of common sense which most of these people don’t have!
Preach!!! At least a little justice for the deceased victim and his loved ones.
OM goodness. The daughter’s statement was powerful! Hope this young man can turn his life around. Will pray for all concerned.
and the 'droopy' pink against the carmel bag' everything!
Horrible mother. He killed Someone. Appropriate sentence. Prayers for the other children.
Amen Judge
Beautiful sentiments by the daughter. That took real love and courage. Very sad to watch this young man go to prison for the bulk of his life. There are no winners in this case.
Wow great job prosecutor for giving Mom the business👏🏽😆
I've never said anything like this, but ...
There should be a BRONZE STATUE of Judge Stephanie Boyd.
That was the best victim impact statement I ever heard, poor girl. ❤
Wow, what an amazing, faithful young woman. God bless all❤
we are here with you! TY for sharing!...
Love the purse Judge and your flowers
Im sick of people using the past as an excuse. We chose good or evil. If we knew each other's past we would all be surprised.
I’m so sorry for the loss of your Dad.
Mine died in 01 from a heart attack.
I couldn’t imagine the loss of a loved one by murder.
You’re so beautiful in your faith.
RIH
Get this young man away from his Mother - one way or another.
That victim impact statement was absolutely incredibly powerful. She is 1 precious lady. I wish her nothing but good and pray that God makes her healing a little easier. It's really sad that the kid is so young. I don't exactly know why he killed a plumber. I can't imagine why somebody would shoot a plumber doing their job? Unfortunately as the victim's daughter shaded all of their lives will forever be changed by that one bad decision. 35 years is a long time and I believe he deserves every one of them. So many of us have had problems with drugs and alcohol, yet, we don't go on to kill people. My prayers are with them all. I do feel horrible for the kid that did it, because he did not have a wonderful mother or father. However in no way did I give him the right to take a life.
Wow. Amazing victim impact statement. ❤️
damn, that victim impact got me in tears.
The Judge should have asked the Mother if she has continued to use meth.
I watch a lot of court videos and I’ve never seen a court room where the prosecutor stands 2 feet away from the defendant/witness and grills them face to face lol
Wow I was and is sitting here with tears in my eyes…. This broke my heart and I can’t wrap my mind around the fact that your mom is such an evil person…. I hope and pray that you will understand what you did and overcome the guilt that it will bring along with the change that is going to take place in you…but when the change comes I hope you can forgive yourself and realize that you can be a better person in this cruel and crazy world that we live in
What kind of mother is that,to say yes i did drugs with my son, dang what was she thinking, she deserves what she got...
Judge Boyd the best judge in bexar county and Texas period
Someone keeping count on the "horribles".
About 20 times!😢
Hmmm. His mom and stepdad's testimony didn't help him very much.
I hope he lost his business
I love this prosecutor! Every time I see him he’s top notch
wow this was a real powerful one.
Judge Boyd, love the pocketbook and flowers
Another reason why I luv this judge! This is so sad.
WTF kind of mother uses drugs like that with their kid? His mother should also spend time in jail. He did make a horrible decision with what he did so he can’t just go free.
I think the judge and the victims daughter were extremely fair with him. The victims daughter is an amazing woman who is very kind, compassionate and more forgiving than most people would ever be. I hope he takes everything the judge and the victims daughter said into account and truly works on becoming a better person.
uh oh! done deal!
We need to clone Judge Boyd and put one in every school in the country
There are NO excuses for his actions or behavior. There are NO excuses for the "mother's" behavior either. He has to be held accountable for his actions. I grew up in an extremely abusive alcoholic home- haven't killed/robbed/raped/assaulted anyone, and I don't engage in the behaviors I grew up around.
Poor fellow. Still, he committed a terrifying crime!
Showing family pictures was something dumb . The look on the judges face once the prosecutor started questioning the mother was priceless and I agree with this awesome Judge!
As much as I appreciate victim impact statements. I sometimes wish they would not read from a script and just speak from the heart in person. This woman really nailed the impact with emotion and intelligence. She made me feel like I knew him!
ha ha ha ha ha. "I'll make it brief, in all honesty, with all due respect". none of which is true
Creepy defendant !!!
Judge Boyd, love ❤️ the “melon” color purse….❤❤❤❤ You rock
Wow what kinda mother wouldn't know her 6 year old was drinking
He stands there like look at me. I am just a poor misunderstood boy. Please!!!! He is an adult and nobody made him do wrong.
If you’re an adult, then you can’t make the excuse that parents had an influence, be an adult, take responsibility and glad the judge saw through this. Not all survivors form partial neglect and abuse are killers
I like this honorable judge. May the Holy Lord continue to bless her and her family.❤
Did the mom face any charges for drug use or contributing to the delinquency of a minor? How old is the sister and where is she staying? Was CPS called to protect the sister?
She’s an awesome judge and isn’t afraid to speak up and be honest and say things a lot of people want to really say about a person. That mom needs a lot of help to get sober and not rely on a man but to be on her own. Some people will do anything so not to be alone even if the other person is a awful human being, people don’t like being alone or need a person to help them with money and raising their kids. A lot of people are jealous of their partners kids and will treat them horribly. This kid looked remorseful and even though a lot of guys don’t cry, he looked remorseful and full of regret. Sad thing is drugs controls a persons life and they’ll do anything to keep getting their drugs. I really hope this young man betters himself and stays away from his mother until she gets her life together, her choice of men has ruined her son’s life. But he’s also an adult to make his own decisions he made. We can’t always blame the parent because he could have walked away from his mom and make himself have a better and stable life. I wish him well.
A tragedy all around😢
She act’s like she doesn’t even care about her son or the victim’s, I bet her and her husband’s business will go down the drain after this. I personally would never use their service’s.
When you take an innocent life on purpose you forfeit yours period.
I am sure I am not the only one crying over the victim statement.
"I know its a lot of (time) but its (time) for you to understand"
🎉 to the honorable judge
I met a lady years ago who attended one of our church services. This video reminded me of the account the lady shared with me about her 12 year old daughter who was sitting on the toilet in their house, when a neighborhood girlfriend walked into the bathroom and shot her in the head, killing her instantly. That young girl never served a day in jail for that murder. Unbelievable! And this young man before Judge Boyd shot someone dead who was simply doing his job. The daughter of the plumber told him via video that she forgave him for killing her father. I understand that action was based on her faith in Jesus...as she said. However, whenever I've heard other people through the years stand in a courtroom and tell some other murderer that they forgive him, I've always cringed. The reason being, that the murderer didn't ask for forgiveness. And yet forgiveness is being extended.
pray we eventually develope a porthole for these young stars' to get with!
Why is the Mom not in jail?
I have lost friends and family too, just like everybody else on the planet. It never caused me to smoke meth.
He goes to prison for 35 years, that means a whole life, that's tragic. Maybe the ONLY person who will go to visit him in prison is HIS MAMA, and Judge Boyd's words inciting rancor against his mother, are really insensitive. His mother is no angel, BUT still is his mama.
his mom can't keep it together because of the drugs, what about his stupid mother when is she going to jail
Did the Judge cut the victims statement short? Seemed like it.
what a sad case … 😢
Her statement made me cry….😢😭😭
