It makes no sense to me why they wouldn’t all have aim assist. Why would they want controller players to not want to use certain items?
Also why have huge inconsistencies with it too???

"Leveling out the playing field" 😂 meanwhile Pc players are running at 240fps vs 60fps on PS4.
And even players on new gen who get 120fps it isn’t even stable 120fps unlike pc players get
While also lowering all the graphics so they can see better😂
All of these Fortnite content creators dropping "40 bombs" are facing 90% bots and console players who literally can't react fast enough. Thats why they only play pubs to avoid as many PC players as possible. Epic has enough of a playerbase for console players to not be forced in to games with PC players but they won't do it or content creators will cry That the game is too sweaty😂. Frauds.

And aiming with their entire forearm down to their fingers vs controller players aiming with their thumbs, and maybe some joystick extenders if theyre lucky.
I used to work as a software engineer and we had layers of support engineers before a bug/question got to us, those support engineers would know the top layer of how things worked and how to fix small bugs and answer questions from manuals. Bugs had to be escalated before they reached an SE who knew the actual code. Also support engineers aren't wizards and everyone makes mistakes. This is definitely just one person replying to a ticket slightly wrong.
Ah-as a controller player this makes so much sense. I was melting peeps with a green Stryker, while struggling with the burst AR.

I’m getting ready to quit the game. The amount of cheaters has exploded recently. In my last game I was killled by three shots. The player was so far away I could barely see them. When I died it revealed a basic AR without mods. PC cheaters make it almost impossible for console players to progress. Epic are ignoring the problem.
Just like cod, it’s insane now. I literally just play multiplayer because warzone is so packed with cheaters

fr tho i seriously stared wondering why i keep getting killed much easier than usual like just last match i had max shield and max health then someone came and one shot me with a blue gatekeeper (keep in mind it wasnt even a headshot)
This game should have input matchmaking. Controller players are basically canon fodder to Keyboard and Mouse players 😂😂😂

Queue times would be too long you can also disable cross play in your settings if it bothers you

We are not talking about eliminating cross-platform functions, we are talking about just putting controller players against controller players not matter the platform, and keyboard players against keyboard players. By that logic, matchmaking wouldn't be affected at all because Fortnite has an average of PLUS 1 Million concurrent players every day. So that is no reason to prevent this quality of life and fairness change
Or gyro aimers on PS/Switch/PC with PS4 or PS5 pad.

They also messed with visual audio as well. People can get a lot closer to you than before last season

Great point and thanks for pointing this out about support. Nothing against the employees there: I reached out regarding and issue and they responded with an old tweet from support and didn’t have the updated information. It’s a big company and hard to keep everyone up to speed quickly.
As a console player, I've found myself hitting more consistent and better shots with the regular Striker over the burst. Will continue to use it for sure. I don't really see many Combat ARs in the loot so far.

Why do they keep nerfing the only advantage controller players have over pc players? Maybe if we complain about pc players’ unfair advantages we can get better aim assist to make it more even.
PC players should not complain about aim assist when they have far more advantages.
Controller players should be using gyro instead of relying on the game helping them hit shots. Instead they won't do that despite being on PS5 because the AA they pretend doesn't do anything, actually helps them a lot.
Aim assist isn’t an advantage. Even with aim assist on controllers, aiming with a mouse is much better and more precise
@@xSNACKERx Give gyro a try if you want to be more precise or simply use your mouse and keyboard on your console. Fortnite supports it on both Xbox and PlayStation

PC players that complain about aim assist are just showing their ignorance. They act like it's an auto aim. It's not at all.

I’ve found the rifles so satisfying to use this season. I just seem to be hitting my shots so well
Burst feels slow without hits can not the same as it was 2 years ago
@@CasualCat64 I've only been playing since maybe October last year, so maybe that's why they feel a bit better as I never really had time to get used to hitscan
Thanks Jake! Was leaning towards that load out with the need to the shield but kind of locks that in even more as the obvious controller choice. Especially given the range of the Sovereign shotgun.
That's so interesting that other people have had that issue with the burst too. I made that observation to a friend last night but I assumed it was me. This is helpful to know.
Same. I noticed it on day 1 this season and assumed my sens was all whack.
The laser and foregrip attachment have negligible benefits, so I've been using the speed grip after I tried it because the benefit of the attachment is way more tangible
its good that the burst doesnt have aim assist, imagine how insane it would be to beam people with that thing
I swear if they remove aim assist i’ll be so mad, i play on 30-40 fps and get really high lag and ping sometimes, ill place builds and they won’t place until ten seconds later i need aim assist.

Great Video! I was dead set on using the burst or the ranger pistol, however tried the Combat AR and that thing shreds! Thought it had too much recoil before but I was wrong!!
You may have a video about this, but I would enjoy watching a video about how to play off a shield bubble in the new season. I notice you kinda aim with right shoulder peak out of the bubble and that hadn't occurred to me because it's not traditional cover - but it makes sense. I wonder if there are other things that aren't occurring to me.
I'm on pc and have to say my kill rate has went through the roof in season 4,,, it's always been hard to get 10 kills in the past but 15-20 this season isn't a problem.
Side note , i have never beat a player throwing the shield but have been killed a lot when using it myself.
This new AR is insane. Finally a weapon that feels like it’s rewarding me for hitting my shots. After this last update you can now legitimately shoot the shield out and it feels nice. I noticed that it feels like some shots don’t register though and I’m wondering if that’s due to the lack of aim assist? All around Fortnite is such a better game when regular weapons feel well rounded and effective. Good ttk and RNG is key for regular weapons just as much as mythic weapons.
Is there an NPC that sells the striker ? I have found a bunch of MPCs selling the burst but since it doesn't have aim assist would like to find an NPC selling the striker
Nope, looks like the only ARs that are being sold are combat and burst AR.

Thanks for explaining.. I had noticed that the striker feels like it makes me hit more shots but since the burst is so accurate I thought I just needed more aim training (which I do) and more time with the burst
Started playing C5S1 on pc/kb/mouse. Love Combat AR. i am bad at the Burst AR. Dont mind them nerving Autoaim, often its broken alot. Seen players shot at me and have bullet turn around in circles and still hit.
I am almost positive they did it because of the aimbot hacking issue
Then people will just use a certain cheat to get around this sadly.
Yeah I haven't been using the ARs. Monarch pistol, double uzis, sovereign shotgun and whatever hero item I find has been my most consistent loadout.

That's 70 wins a week or 10 a day. If games last 20 minutes on average, with 100% win rate, that'd take 200 minutes, or ~3.5 hrs a day Mon-Sun of non-stop wins.
Of course would never have perfect wins, and I guess if you won 50% your games, it's possible to play 8hrs everyday for a whole season. But damn bro. GZ I guess!

You're right Jake...not surprised at all about "support" 😂. Still enjoying using the combat AR combined with new shotgun. Will admit, dealing with jetpacks has been tricky but trying to adapt.

AIM ASSIST has been removed from Fortnite on Xbox for AGES! over a year I've not seen it in the options, all it done on the highest setting, was slow the crosshair down ever so slightly when passing over an enemy, so small an amount it barely helped unless you had it on really slow ADS! (which is no good for getting anywhere in the game)

Combat AR is my favourite and I am pretty sure that with the gyro aiming the aim assist is disabled so I am not affected from the lack of aim assist on one of the weapons compared to the others.
Definitely do feel a difference using both guns I like both a lot had to also adjust my ads sens to use the Butst AR, also can you do a video of the pros and cons on controller compared to kbm?
3:21 ngl, i prefer the striker AR over the burst. I've gotten fried so many times. Im not an elite player. I touch grass and enjoy playing. For my level/skillset. The burst is trash. Id rather carry a green striker AR. But I appreciate your other tips. Thanks!
I play on linear so the aim assist long distance doesn't do much anyways for me, I like the monarch pistol better than any of the ars this season tbh
I thought they were reducing the percentage of captain America's shield. So why does everyone and their mother have one every match?
I would like to see them have a consistent amount of aim assist. I imagine it will be hard to fine tune settings to aim well when each gun has different aim assist by default. Just my opinion.

Why is there such a different between aim assist on pc (with controller) and console? Makes no sense to me. Or is there a good reason for it? I use Fortnite on ps4 and amazons luna cloud streaming service and with an unaltered dualshock controller. When I started to use Luna I wondered why playing felt so clunky even with the same settings as on ps4. I use gyro (not flick stick) on ps4 but if I turn it off, it still feels better than on luna. Gyro doesn't work on luna and also mouse and keyboard is not supported but luna is classified as pc.

Ive been a console only gamer my whole life. I played Fortnite for a couple years on my Xbox. I recently bought a new gaming PC and have been playing Fortnite on that WITH a controller. and I can tell you that the differences with the aim assist are night and day. I have the aim assist setting on my PC on the highest sensitivity and compared to Xbox... its nonexistent. They might as well not even have the aim assist option at all.

All yall complaining about how mouse and keyboard is so overpowered, wait until you TRY IT and your aim is shaky as hell, you’re hitting 10% of the shots you were on controller, and it’s nothing like you pictured. It is a GRIND to get decent aim on keyboard and mouse, everyone has decent aim on a controller.

Yeah and they wonder why certain players are cheating with another work around. Epic just need to have Aim Assist for everyone to make this Fair. I keep getting killed because of it. If I play on the Console. I don't have this problem and usually end up killing myself and the other player. It feels more Fair. PC players are getting screwed.
There is no aim assist for console players on those weapons either. Jake literally says that in the video.

Lmao dude my problem isn’t pc aim assist but their fps!! Epic must understand something pc Fortnite isn’t the same game for console we are stuck at 120hz… problem is I fight people with good setups so when I’m aiming in they already killed me because consoles just can’t keep with low high end pc it’s sad but is the truth!! I have also a liquid cooled i7 12 kf paired with a 3080TI like there is no possible comparison between both I mean of course the desktop cost 6x more but somehow we end up on the same lobby 😂 but there is nothing wrong about pc players having aim assist if they use the same input as the console!! In my opinion unfair but of course PS players are way more compared to PC ones and that translates to dollars on the end of the month SAD!!! 💀☠️🧐
Yep pc players have every single advantage over other consoles no input delay, fps, etc
@@cxsmeticzz322 In exchange console players get much more AA in every game compared to PC controller players to the point where they barely have to aim. Then guys who somehow override AA with their own terrible aim say "my aim assist doesn't do that" while everyone good says it's too strong.
lol I'm a PC/KBM player who's always moaning about the controller player who jumped in my face and didn't miss a shot. Not this season, though. Definitely a change. No doubt Epic will tweak stuff as they collect more stats.

I like this AR meta season a lot!!!! Really feels like Fortnite again ! It’s a shame that they mess with aim assist. They should make a crossplay button, fixes every debat and problem.
Setting the aim assist value from 100 to 99 might fix the aim assist. I am not 100% sure if this works in Battle Royal mode. Maybe someone can test it and report back?

Great insight I was aware of the Combat AR but had no idea about the Burst. Still gonna be using the Combat AR when possible just because I prefer it more but man this season is extremely solid with the AR selection.

This is a great change in my opinion, not everybody have an insane pc in reality there is a lot of laptop and low budget config who struggle to reach solid 120 fps so the gap is not what you are all saying
