The nominee wasn't decided until the last night of the convention. The candidates would make their speeches, and each night delegates from each state would cast their votes until the final night when the nominee was chosen. I know this year's Democratic National Convention won't be exactly like that since Kamala is the presumptive nominee. However, I am much more energized and hopeful.
