The crochet hat turned out great! Making a smaller one with a pompom on it for a kiddo would be precious. I think that yarn would make a gorgeous knit hat too.
You made me pull out my knitting needles again and I want to thank you!! I forgot how much I love the clicking of the needles.. It's such soothing/relaxing craft
So excited for todays vlog…. 7 days until Christmas… a slight panic is settling in, I’ve still got 7 more market bags to go and as many wash cloths 😅😮 I got this!! Watching last years vlogmas when I run out of current ones! So thanks for being my crochet buddy and motivating me ❤😂 Love to all in the comments ❤️💕
You can double up DK weight Tk a 4-5 weight yarn. The pattern you chose and the yarn is very pretty. You know, Bag-O-Day probably has a hundred or more free hat tutorials for you to enjoy. She’s got lots of cute patterns and she makes them all easy to follow. ❤❤
Wooo! lovely crochet hat!! Honestly the Kaleidoscope one was giving arcade floor, just needs to be paired with black LOL Hope you're doing well! IK Vlogmas can be draining!! :DDD
Hey! So excited for this vid! I just wanted to say there is this crochet creator Kamryn Cain and she asked for some crochet RUclipsr ideas and SoOo many people said you! It made my day :) I love how you are starting to get out there! 💖keep up the good work!
Very nice Bennie. It turned out well. Sometimes when creating from a pattern there are time we need to make small adjustments so everything can fit well. Thank you for sharing Kelsie. Have a blessed and productive day.
Both hats are different style. I love the knit one because of the style and color, but love the crochet because of the colors. I love both of them. You did a fantastic job on them.
Kelsie! For a quick crochet beanie hat pattern (in the round! & hdc) look up “Crochet Pattern Beanie Tutorial: Men’s Basic Beanie w/ Options By Jenni Designs” I’ve used it a ton and love it!
Poor Olympian gabby Douglas. First black American to win the all around gymnastic gold. I had to fast forward through parts of the heads up because you started calling me old in several languages. 😂😢 But honestly I love the Christmas hat idea and I’m obsessed with how the kaleidoscope one turned out. Loving vlogmas! Can’t believe how quick time flies! One week!!
That yarnsmiths yarn is exactly like the Caron Blossoms Cakes that Michaels sells, and that color story is called crocus and is my favorite yarn at the moment. It does say 4 weight on the label. Loving these hats, and I might have to bring a basket of hats to my family gathering because I've been making so many since early November... ❤
I’m in love with both hats. You’re definitely pushing me to want to learn how to knit. My grandmother taught me how to crochet when I was 7/8 years old and she tried teaching me how to knit but I wasn’t able to hold the needles and wrap the yarn around the needle…it was just so much easier for me to crochet. But like I said because of you I’m really considering learning how to knit.
There's this really amazing short-row beanie that gives a knit look- although the patterns I've used stitch up the side and don't work in the round. But they are really awesome and fun to make and may be worth checking out.
I really loved those coaster you made and I loved the color. I went right away to my stash to see what I could find. Nothing like your color so off to the store I go (after Christmas).
The knit ones are gorgeous. The knit ones look so much better. Gosh it’s tempting to learn knitting.Merry Christmas your family will love them. ❤️🌲🎄🧑🏻🎄🎅🏼⛄️☃️🤶⛄️❄️❄️
i commented yesterday about knitting my first earwarmer and i'm proud to say i finished it last night and i'm already making another for a coworker with the other half of my skein haha 😊
Yayyy! The Kelsie show is on!!! I think both hats are awesome, I do prefer the kaleidoscopic version. I have that actual yarn and it’s a favorite! lol I’m loving your chill vibe this year. I felt kinda stressed for you last year. Even though you totally had it all under control. 💪🏻
I love the Alpine stitch, so that would be my favorite, but the other is pretty too. I picked the gray tag for the hat too. Hope you’re having a great day.❤
I like the Alpine stitch, but also like fold up brims. I do a Short Row Crochet beanie or a crown down in the round that I love. The Short Row does need stitched up the side. As long as you end on the edge where you started, or if it's a 6 bulky, you barely see the seam. Plus, a simple mattress st makes it go fast & easy. Sometimes, I'll do a beanie in the round & end with a blosc brim to roll up.
If you do another hat with the first yarn you can just use the leftover from the first skein before you take from both ends from the next one. Looked like it was quite i bit left on the first one. Really liked the colors in the first hat to.Just as you said looked better when you made a hat with it. My favorite is no 1.
You might like some of Wild Sapling's crochet hat patterns. I've been really enjoying them and several have nice stretch like your knit beanies. Especially the lonesome highway beanie pattern. Oh I guess the one I recommended it crocheted flat and seamed up but it's not super hard or tedious so... Up to you. Tzigns, MJ's Off the Hook, Spotted Horse Design all have a few cute ones that I've seen. For knit beanie patterns you might like smeeny made wild. Love her patterns so much. Oh oh and Brian K has some cute crochet ones. Ok I'll stop listing patterns lol. I've seen a ton of good ones. 😅 Getting close to done on the shawl for my mom and sort of close on the poncho I think. The poncho is a bit more involved than I originally thought even all the single crochet with an 8mm took a long time.
I really enjoyed making Cheyenne Barton's knit-like crochet ribbed hat on YT! If I'm not mistaken you crochet the side up and you can't see the join from the right ride

You could crank out 5 or 6 ear warmers on the sentro with some scrap yarns you have around the room for your hat basket.
I save mine for mushroom amigurumi's hats XD
The crochet hat turned out great! Making a smaller one with a pompom on it for a kiddo would be precious. I think that yarn would make a gorgeous knit hat too.
You made me pull out my knitting needles again and I want to thank you!! I forgot how much I love the clicking of the needles.. It's such soothing/relaxing craft
FINALLY... It's so hard being patient for your daily vlog ❤
You have been making so many extra scrunchies, that you are still above the average of 4 a day ;-)
My favorite is the knitted one. LOVE the colors.
So excited for todays vlog….

Omg tell me about it 😅 I have a whole blanket to finish still
“My twins big like Shania Twain” I’m cryingggg
i’m going to miss this so much

Yeah a lot of people said her
I was one of them ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I prefer the blue beanie because I love cool pastel colors ✨️
Very nice Bennie. It turned out well. Sometimes when creating from a pattern there are time we need to make small adjustments so everything can fit well. Thank you for sharing Kelsie. Have a blessed and productive day.
Under 1 min gang👏
Both hats are different style. I love the knit one because of the style and color, but love the crochet because of the colors. I love both of them. You did a fantastic job on them.
Those blue and pink yarn cakes look EXACTLY like a colorway of the caron blossom cakes!
I love the way the knit hat looks! I agree that it looks better as a hat then as a skien.
I love the yarn you used to make the hat! I think the leftovers would make a lovely hexi-cardi.
that crochet hat is GORG
Love the knit one. I have made so many of your hats to donate this month. Currently working on one as I watch.
Kelsie! For a quick crochet beanie hat pattern (in the round! & hdc) look up “Crochet Pattern Beanie Tutorial: Men’s Basic Beanie w/ Options By Jenni Designs” I’ve used it a ton and love it!
Oh! I also wanted to mention. It looks better (in my opinion) if you turn your work after every row for this hat!
I also like finishing them with a few rows of dc (front and then back posts) instead of sc like the pattern/video suggests.
Ok the colourful hat is my favourite thus far. Bravo Kelsie
I love the hat. The color is beautiful.
Love the colors in the hat!!
Both hats turned out amazing! I love Sirin, she has a lot of great patterns 😊
I absolutely love both of those hats! I need to get my hands on those kaleidoscope colors and knit one for myself! ❤
Poor Olympian gabby Douglas. First black American to win the all around gymnastic gold. I had to fast forward through parts of the heads up because you started calling me old in several languages. 😂😢
But honestly I love the Christmas hat idea and I’m obsessed with how the kaleidoscope one turned out. Loving vlogmas! Can’t believe how quick time flies! One week!!
I like making crochet beanies with fingering weight yarn. It’s less bulky looking and you can have some cute textures with fun stitches.
Thank you for being my crochet body double. I’m trying to finish a Christmas sweater for myself and a shawl for my MIL. Wish me luck!
Good luck!
that yarn for the crochet hat is gorgeous!
That hat is absolutely beautiful. Ive seen that tutorial before. 😊
I just finished my first crochet beanie! It was a bit of a struggle but I eventually got there. I LOVE the color work on yours 💜🎄💜
Turned out so well
Love the crochet hat!!
The knit hat makes me think of Luna lovegood 😍🤩 I could see her rocking it
That yarnsmiths yarn is exactly like the Caron Blossoms Cakes that Michaels sells, and that color story is called crocus and is my favorite yarn at the moment. It does say 4 weight on the label. Man your eyeliner is one point! I love it
I love both beanies! I love the colorway and vibrancy of the knit one. I wish I knew how to knit. The crochet beanie turned out lovely!
The crochet hat is very pretty but I think I would choose the knitted beanie. Yes, it's a very nice blend of colours.
Happy Vlogmas 18. 😊
It’s giving Fruity Pebbles ❤️
Mashaallah ❤ both beanies were beautiful 😍.
I’m in love with both hats. You’re definitely pushing me to want to learn how to knit. Both beanies turned out beautifully! I think the knit colourful one is my favourite ❤
That hat looks Great!
it looks like rainbow sprinkles! or a handful of skittles 🥰
Love you 1 hour gang ❤❤❤❤❤
Loved the Shania Twain part 😂I yelled”man , I feel like a woman!” lol
There's this really amazing short-row beanie that gives a knit look- although the patterns I've used stitch up the side and don't work in the round. But they are really awesome and fun to make and may be worth checking out.

That crochet hat is gorgeous!
The knit hats are my favorite, that one reminds me of rainbow sprinkles
My favorite go to crochet hat is the divine hat. Its a spiral shell hat. Love watching your channel.
Cute hat, you look gorgeous😊
I love the Alphin Stitch Beanie. I learned from Fiber Spider on here. His is top down instead of bottom to top.
Yayyy! The Kelsie show is on!!! I think both hats are awesome, I do prefer the kaleidoscopic version. I have that actual yarn and it’s a favorite! lol I’m loving your chill vibe this year. I felt kinda stressed for you last year. Even though you totally had it all under control. 💪🏻

Another awesome Vlogmas video. Thanks Kelsie! Merry Merry Vlogmas!!!!
Great Video, Kelsie!
Thank you so much!
The blue hat is def my favorite! Also at the top of it @ 21:17 kinda looks like a snowflake with the white / lighter color ❄ :)
Try crocheting a cat ear beanie!
I like the Alpine stitch, but also like fold up brims.

I luv the bright multi color
I think for a person with a larger body/larger head having more space in the hat is much much more comfortable
The rainbow hat is giving sprinkles on top of my pancakes at IHOP
What am I going to do with myself after vlogmas is over?? You have been truly spoiling us❤❤
oh! that pink and blue yarn is an exact dupe of caron blossom cakes in the color crocus ive been obsessed with that yarn for a bit LOL
also looks the same as Hobbii's Cascata in the color Rhine

I luv both there awesome
The hat is so pretty and I love your videos I have never seen that kind of colors in a beanie
@sirinscrochet hats are nice, I’ve made several and she’s very good on her video tutorials. Great job on both.

Perfect timing for my break at work 💃🏻
Cesar not knowing Shania Twain immediately is criminal ahahaha
My kid had a middle school band concert yesterday 😂
I really enjoyed making Cheyenne Barton's knit-like crochet ribbed hat on YT! If I'm not mistaken you crochet the side up and you can't see the join from the right ride
The yarn @9:59 instantly reminded me of Coraline
