- Taking a little break from Amphibia content to talk about one of the interesting possible plot threads in season two of The Owl House! Since Dana Terrace's Reddit AMA, there has been plenty to theorize and discuss. For me, one of the most interesting topics being the Blight family. Alador and Odalia have been set up for a big role next season and I am wondering how this will affect Edric, Emira, and Amity. Specifically, if Alador and Odalia will force their children into the Emperor's Coven.

I think that if their parents try to force them into the Coven, they'll have to all overcome their fears.
Emira and Edric's fears are two sides of the same coin, or rather, two reactions to being forced to be perfect matching twins. Emira rejects it and wants to be her own person, while Edric has fallen prey to the ideal and can't live without his twin. Amity's fear of rejection isn't just for Grom, it's for being rejected by her parents too.
So to face their fears/parents, Emira will have to tell them that she's not comfortable being part of a matching set, Edric will have to realize his mentality had been heavily conditioned by his parent's ideals, and Amity will have to stop being controlled/threatened by her parents.
This pretty much sums up their character arcs. Well, as far as we know.

My theory:
*Luz will explain to Amity about the events of agony of a witch and young blood old souls. Amity will understand and try talk to her parents but her parents will get furious and say this is why they didn't want her to be hanging out with this human. This will then cause some drama to their relationship.*

Lars and the Off Colors I'm 99% next season will be about both girls dealing with their familys’ issues. Considering who much charter growth we got in season 1, I doubt the writers are going to neglect any character on the owl house. This shared conflict will either bring them together or tear them apart, depending on how the writers steer things.
I can see Odalia and Alador trying to influence their children, I just don't see it panning out like they plan. The twins seem like the rebellious troublemakers that the Emperor's Coven looks down on. Meanwhile, I'm (hopeful) that Amity will side with her closest friends and the only people who have shown her true compassion in her life over the EC.

I have a feeling that there will be a tint of drama in Lumity when it comes to Mr and Mrs Blight. They probably won’t take a liking to Luz. And if they were to figure out amity’s crush on Luz. They probably won’t take kindly to it. They’ll discriminate Luz for not only being human and for being a girl, but for also associating with Eda and Lilith who are wanted criminals. If the blights threatened willow of expulsion, imagine what they’ll do to Luz. It will probably be something 10 times worse. Perhaps lock her up or exiled, or even executed. I also think with Boscha and her family being allies of Amity and the rest of the Blights, Boscha could play a bigger role. She probably will find out about Amity’s crush on Luz and use that information to her advantage and use it against amity. She’ll blackmail amity with her crush on Luz to get her into ditching Luz and Co, taking advantage of her weakness. And with the grom episode, her fear could be more than just being rejected by Luz. She could be scarred of rejection, coming out, being ostracized by society. I have a feeling their love story could be a Romeo and Juliet thing. Also cue the song Rewrite the Stars. And with Amity’s goal of joining the emperors coven due to most likely her parents expectations, the Lumity story arc will have more conflict and bumps in the road and more obstacles than we think. Maybe either the Blights and/or the Emperors Coven could host a like a fancy party or something. Or maybe celebrate Amity’s birthday, for the nobility and powerful witches I mean. It could be like a masquerade ball. With Luz, Eda, and King NOT invited obviously. But the three crash the party anyways. And perhaps Luz and amity could dance together then.

I have a theory of what could happen: They might be disapproving at first but when they realize the potential she has. They allow Amity to get close with her. They might make a promise to Luz about how they can teach her magic as last they heard Eda was cursed. It also presents them with the ability to find out where Lilith and Eda are to get them and turn them in to the emperor and if they are doing so. They might do that in exchange that their children are on the Emperor's Coven. They could use Luz as an advantage which I could personally see happening. It would also present some interesting character devlopment. The blight siblings might see what their parents are trying to do to Luz. Then they might take a stand. As to the twins, Luz is the only person outside of each other and Amity we see them interacting with. Amity is friends with her and one of her friends she chose. Which makes Luz very important to them and if the Blight parents were to use Luz it would be their breaking point. As I said the human is very important to them. Personally it's just an idea of mine of what could happen but it would be an interesting story arc if it did.

One plot thread I can think of is Amity being forced to join the EC and eventually being forced to fight Luz. The fight itself would mostly be them reluctantly attacking eachother until Luz convinces Amity to quit and stand up to her parents. idk I just think a fight between them paralleling the one in Covention would be cool.

Whether Amity is initially forced to join the coven and hunt Luz (like Lilith and Eda) or she betrays her parents and helps Luz from the very start, the drama from the decision could be really good stuff.

Emira's greatest fear is being stuck with Edric forever, so I'm not too sure if it's going to go down this direction, but if it is, then she's going to have to face her fear.

I think her fear extends beyond that. Maybe she’s afraid of not being able to be her own individual and not being more than just one of the blight twins
What if there was an episode where Emira and Edric got fused together (via magic I guess) and became literal conjoined twins?
???? I feel like Edric would enjoy it but Emyra wouldn’t. Ed could possibly have attachment issues and when he hypothetically does get his rights to be his own person Emyra could be so excited and eager to take this chance but Ed the complete opposite being hesitant and anxious. He might even have a mental breakdown.

As much as I loathe them, I can't wait to see the elder Blights and also the inside of their manor properly. With names like that and from what we know of them, I have a feeling they've got impeccable style and taste to keep up social appearances and such.

Let's just say we might need some "stealthy eavesdropping" exercise a la the Thief games, Assassin's Creed, the Batman: Arkham games, the Metal Gear series pre-MGS4, and Splinter Cell 1 and Chaos Theory.
I just really hope they don't get weird British accents. I hate when shows give characters snobby British accents that didn't carry to their children..

I was just watching the owl house and there is a part where Ed says " so your the human we heard so much about " that means that amity talks about luz in some way mean or nice. comment and we can talk about luz and amity relationship
This was before she started to like luz so i dont think the parents have a good image of luz and with the fact she lives and is eda student you know the most wanted criminal
I have a feeling Amity vents to Ed and Em. So when Luz started to want to be friends with Amity, Amity went to her siblings for advice.

If the blights threatened willow of expulsion, imagine what they’ll do to Luz. It will probably be something 10 times worse. Perhaps lock her up or exiled, or even executed. I also think with Boscha and her family being allies of Amity and the rest of the Blights, Boscha could play a bigger role. She probably will find out about Amity’s crush on Luz and use that information to her advantage and use it against amity. She’ll blackmail amity with her crush on Luz to get her into ditching Luz and Co, taking advantage of her weakness. And with the grom episode, her fear could be more than just being rejected by Luz. She could be scarred of rejection, coming out, being ostracized by society. I have a feeling their love story could be a Romeo and Juliet thing. Also cue the song Rewrite the Stars. And with Amity’s goal of joining the emperors coven due to most likely her parents expectations, the Lumity story arc will have more conflict and bumps in the road and more obstacles than we think. Maybe either the Blights and/or the Emperors Coven could host a like a fancy party or something. Or maybe celebrate Amity’s birthday, for the nobility and powerful witches I mean. It could be like a masquerade ball. With Luz, Eda, and King NOT invited obviously. But the three crash the party anyways. And perhaps Luz and amity could dance together then.

While I'm sure the Emperor's coven wants the strongest witches (if only to pull them *out* of the pool of potential enemies), I suspect that this is modified by being "the strongest witches they can *control."* Somehow, that doesn't sound like the twins very much. And after Lilith, I'd expect their "standards" to be boosted even more.
That said, whatever the Coven's final decision, this certainly sounds like the *Blights* final decision for their kids.
Emperor Belos: Wild magic is wrong so I'll teach you that it's wrong by creating the coven systems where you each will use magic adhering to it. As for myself, I'll create my own coven where I basically hold all the power.
The thumbnail made me feel really sad. Seeing the three blight siblings all wearing Emperor’s Coven uniforms, looking sad while their parents watched from behind, hurt my heart to watch.

This is something I can definitely see happening. Alador and Odalia have been shown already to be ambitious, power-hungry and controlling, and getting Amity secured in the Emperor's Coven would be a way to definitively further their goals. Can't wait to be introduced to them properly, and to go through the anticipated PAIN of the impact their actions will have on all of the Blight siblings.

Though during the season finale, a young odalia has a nasty looking smile on her face as she watches Eda's curse taking effect when compared to Alador's stoic and composed expression. This is taken as further evidence that she is worse.
Dana also said Alador is interesting and there was a fan comic with him reactiong to Amity's hair being dyed so I feel like he will be someone that would do things like make Amity do things she dousen't want to do for their family status like join the EC and won't approve of Luz because she's a human but would also want Amity to be happy. But agree that Odalia is the worse of the two.

PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT THIS: Belos is a Clawthorne. Please hear me out.
1. In the AMA, when asked if we'll ever see Lilith's "raven" house, Danna responded with "birds are a clawthorne thing." I think that was really interesting wording. Belos is clearly shown to have some kind of attachment to birds. His symbol, his mask, even the portal reconstruction. There are birds everywhere.
2. His mask. Creators wouldn't put characters in mask unless their appearance gives something about them away. If he took off his mask, I think we'd see he has resemblance to Eda and Lilith.
3. The timeline. If Belos came to power when he was around 30, and created covens 50 years ago, that makes him around 80. That could be old enough to either be Eda's father, or, grandfather, which might make more sense considering she's mentioned her parents before and doesn't recognize Belos as her father.
4. His power. He was said to be the most powerful witch ever. Wouldn't it make sense if he was related to the second and third most powerful witches we've seen?
5. If Belos really is Eda and Lilith's grandfather, him being so old would be an explanation for how weak he is. He's shown to be powerful, but he clearly relies on technology and other sources (like the palisman, the giant heart, ect.) for his power. I think he's weak because simply of how old he is, not because he's a human. Another explanation could be that he was cursed. (Maybe when we get more information on Eda's parents we'll find out that his child cursed him!) I'm just saying.
6. This point isn't as cool, but his blue eyes also match Lilith's.
7. In the episode "Agony of a Witch" Lilith says, "Edalyn is finally with her family. Her real family." If Lilith was just referring to herself in this line, why would she say "family"? it makes it sound like there's more than one person. I'm not saying Lilith would know, I'm just saying it could be a subtle hint.
8. There's a picture in the Owl House that's supposedly an "owl demon." However, it could represent Emperor Belos. It's beak looks just like his horns sideways, and if you look at it sideways you can see the shape of his cloak, and that top part of his cloak, and the shape of his figure in general. It also has that eye that seems to be associated with Belos, and feet just like Kikimora. I don't know why Eda would have a picture of the Emperor in her house, unless this is another subtle clue.
9. "Clawthorne" is perfect anagram (letters rearrange) for "the owl can" with an "r" left over. Perhaps "r" combines with "belos" to finish the anagram. I know Danna likes these word codes.
10. The acronym. Each name in this show has some kind of significance. I was trying to figure out what "Belos" meant, and I couldn't find anything. It occurred to me it might be an acronym, much like the first letters of each title from all the episodes in the show. If it is, then Belos would be a perfect acronym for all the Clawthornes we know. What I like about this one is that it's only possible if Belos is a Clawthorne himself. So in other words, you have to know Belos is a Cawthorne to figure it out.

11. I also realized that If his name is "Belos Clawthorne" that would make his initials BC, the same as Bill Cipher. That probably means nothing but it would be a hint that that's his last name if he has the same initials as the villain from the last show Danna worked on.
12. Also in the AMA, when asked what we will see from season 2, Danna responded with "parental conflict" as the first thing she listed. Perhaps she's referring to Eda and Lilith's parents as they would be a crucial part of season 2 if it is revealed they Belos is their grandfather.
13. In the episode "covention", Eda made a comment about her parents. This looks like a throw away line at first, but her parents would have a big part in this if her father is Belos's son.
14. And finally, the strongest piece of evidence I have. The last words in the rune code, when referring to Eda and Lilith, are, "Betrayed By Blood." If Eda and Lilith were both "betrayed by blood," and the Emperor is the one who betrayed them (which he did), then there you go.
And obviously there's a big question if this theory is true: Does Belos know? Well, let me entertain both options. What if he knows? That means he most likely made Lilith the head of the coven because he knows she is powerful like him and wants to shape her in his image. And as for Eda, he knows she'll never conform to him and also knows how powerful she is, so he wants to destroy her. He's evil. Now, what if he doesn't know? This is actually really interesting. I have no idea what would have happened to lead to him never knowing his kids had kids, but it could lead to a super cool backstory episode about Eda's and Lilith's parents hiding them from Belos because they don't want them to get hurt. That would be cool.

Sorry but I think theory number 14 and 12 are illogical. Is a Grandfather the same thing as a parent? No. They specifically said PARENTAL conflict not FAMILY conflict. When they say parental they only mean the parents not the grandparents. Also when it says "Betrayed by Blood" there is no real proof within the episodes the Emperor betrayed Lilith or Eda. Eda was not betrayed she was nearly turned to stone because she was a criminal. The Emperor never promised to heal Eda and Lilith was not betrayed either. What they mean by Betrayed by Blood is when Lilith had cursed Eda to get into the EC. Don't say the Emperor is the grandfather because you don't have solid proof and your making theories off of another theory.
@@minxxd For #12, I was referring to Eda's conflict with her parents, or possible her parent's conflict with Belos. We don't know anything about here parents so it could be neither, but if Belos is her grandfather then her parents will likely play some kind of a role in the backstory behind that.
And for #14, Belos totally betrayed Lilith. He said he would heal Eda and he ended up almost killing her. And in doing so, he also betrayed Eda. That's what I was saying.

Watching episode 2 of the defund season I can see it being a 4 on 1 Anity's father seems to be more of a shut in and didn't stand up to his his wife often but he did stop her when she was going to break her promise to let Luz Willow and Gus back into school and he won their quiet argument.

Since the emperor's coven seems to be the militia/police force of the boiling isles, I wonder what the abomination coven does, since their specialty is very proficient for combat.

Maybe a plot line in season 2 would involve Amity being chosen to join the Emperor’s Coven and Luz tries to convince Amity to back out of it, but due to her being unaware of the Emperor Belos and his coven’s true motives, along with pressure from her parents, refuses to back out, resulting in the relationship between them being strained. Amity later makes up with Luz after she learns of the Emperor’s plan for the Boiling Isles and after standing up to her parents.

Parental conflict is mostly like amity’s parents willows parents and Eda , luzs mother
If you look in the background of the episode where we find out Lillith is the one who curses Eda, you can see the Blight parents on the bleachers among the Emperor's coven. In theory, since Eda and Lilith had to "duel" for a spot then that could mean that the Blight parents had filled the other open spots.
Hewo! Since we know the hair colors of Alador and Odalia we can all assume those two people were the ONLY ones without masks or suits during Lilith and Eda's some what of a fight in the past. And amity's parental units. I don't know how Mr. and Mrs. Blight had the authority or at least a plan to stop Willow from getting into Hexside. I respectfully disagree with the people who say that Amity's parents won't come after Luz when/if they find out about her friendship with Amity. I got a whole bunch of reasons why they would. She lives with and worked with 2 wanted criminals, got banned from a school, probably destroyed Amity's chance to get into the Emperors Coven, helped 3 people escape from a prison and Im gonna stop there for a second. Sure they didn't deserve t be locked up but that is still a bad thing. And there is more to it then that. She helped a bad student out of detention with Gus, (And this person actually deserved it) When you think about it she gets a lot of people out of jail or there punishments. She chipped off a piece of the Emperors mask, almost got Edric and Emira eaten, cheated in a witch's duel and if she had not warned Amity about that she could have gotten hurt badly. And what I think is last but definitley not least her and Amity could have gotten stuck in a book forever because she broke into the library with the twins. Maybe that was Edric and Emira's fault. At least ten reasons why the Blight parents are gonna destroy

I'm thinking this for a while well we know if want to join the coven you have to sacrifice something well lilith sacrifice eda that got curse and eda sacrifice her dream so her sister can go into coven what about if Amity want or maybe most likely got influence by her parents but just say her choice that she know that she have to sacrifice her crush on Luz and leaving the friendship they got not just luz,Willow (even tho they don't really like friend just kinda), and maybe Gus but maybe i'm overreacting i hope i'm not right 😅😅
I have a feeling that there will be a tint of drama in Lumity when it comes to Mr and Mrs Blight. They probably won’t take a liking to Luz. And if they were to figure out amity’s crush on Luz. They probably won’t take kindly to it. They’ll discriminate Luz for not only being human and for being a girl, but for also associating with Eda and Lilith who are wanted criminals. If the blights threatened willow of expulsion, imagine what they’ll do to Luz. It will probably be something 10 times worse. Perhaps lock her up or exiled, or even executed. I also think with Boscha and her family being allies of Amity and the rest of the Blights, Boscha could play a bigger role. She probably will find out about Amity’s crush on Luz and use that information to her advantage and use it against amity. She’ll blackmail amity with her crush on Luz to get her into ditching Luz and Co, taking advantage of her weakness. And with the grom episode, her fear could be more than just being rejected by Luz. She could be scarred of rejection, coming out, being ostracized by society. I have a feeling their love story could be a Romeo and Juliet thing. Also cue the song Rewrite the Stars. And with Amity’s goal of joining the emperors coven due to most likely her parents expectations, the Lumity story arc will have more conflict and bumps in the road and more obstacles than we think. Maybe either the Blights and/or the Emperors Coven could host a like a fancy party or something. Or maybe celebrate Amity’s birthday, for the nobility and powerful witches I mean. It could be like a masquerade ball. With Luz, Eda, and King NOT invited obviously. But the three crash the party anyways. And perhaps Luz and amity could dance together then.
I have ideas for dialogue of how the sneaking in scene could go

@@kmmk5022 well we all know one thing actually a lot of thing that is the drama of Amity parents but i didn't see really about the blight family Will like execute Luz because when they know even the emperor is having problem with them i Will say if the blight parents Will use Amity crush of they know or connection to Luz,eda and lilith they problaly use Luz to trap eda and lilith. And the romance not like Romeo and Juliet stuff because dana doesn't clearly want a romance saga and dana said that the parents doesn't really at it seems and that could be bad or good for the main character and i'm kinda exited of problaly a Luz and lilith episode and lilith with eda episode

Dana mentioned somewhere that we'll be surprised by Amity and the twins dad. Maybe that surprise will come in the form of him be secretly helping any resistance against belos. That would be the biggest surprise. Unless that is the case we'll definitely see both blight siblings being pushed to join the best covens they can.
If amity and luz start dating i can see amity hiding it from her parents since i can see her parents being homophobic.
i think the parent conflict will probably stem from boscha ranting out amity’s feelings to her parents and her getting outed.
i could see the twins joining the Ec, but amity could rebel against her parents and join luz and her friends to prove to her parents that she's a better witch than emira or edrick
So amity might get outlawed

I think the twins might be resentful of Amity, that’s why they pick on her. Judging by what we know about their parents, it sounds that they would prefer Amity’s powers then illusion powers. That might explain why the twins are so rebellious and why they have the freedom to be so.
