I do love otters but recently they seem to decimating alot of lakes causing hundreds of thousands in damage. With practically nothing you can do except put a fence up. Sad times. Another cracking video though mate 🎣🎣
Ben put a eight or nine strand wire fence up, the key is to run it from the mains and not a battery. Also on the outside of the fence put a dozen hand sized stones in a small pile a few feet away from the fence, a otter will scent and leave scat against the stones which will tell you if they are still coming after you have put a fence up

I would buy a wildlife camera and set that up on a pir, they are relatively cheap. In fairness the issue you have is that the carp are small and an otter would need to eat a lot of flesh to sustain it. If a carp is larger you are right they would go for most nutritional bang for buck with gills then insides. That's why the bigger carp look relatively undamaged when ottered. 1st thing is the wildlife cam. Good luck Lee
Probably an otter, could also have been a mink or Somme thing like that. They really are savage and will chase fish around for ages. My dads fish farm uses electric fences around the brood ponds to combat this, might be worth a thought?

Hello if I was to order some baits can I have them without any dust on or source just straight out of steamer ? And defo otter I had a male on my lake back in summer and I have no other water courses near me a male will travel miles over land looking hor a mate

They come straight out the Steamer delivered straight to you! ! 😃
Put bag sand on island, this way you can check the prints and work out weather it's otter or mink and take appropriate action
