    Wolf creek looks like a steakhouse over here in socal called Northwoods Inn. Great steaks!
    Loved this adventure!

      Wolf Lodge is everything a steak house should be. Not pretentious, massive portions, great cuts and good drinks. Haha.
      Glad you liked this one. I doubt this video will do well, but oh well.

    Banff?!?! That's just not fair. Good call on skipping lake louise, soooo touristy lately. Good video!

      Thanks! Yeah, we went to Lake Louise once .... and that was enough. It was an absolute zoo.

    These riding videos are great. I have been infatuated with the BMW R-GS for many years. Health issues sidelined that plan, so I live through others' experiences - Neil Peart's books, videos on YT, etc. Not all adventures have to be on 4 wheels.

    • @WheretoNextOverland
      @WheretoNextOverland  8 месяцев назад +1

      Totally agree, and some adventures are just flat out better on two wheels! The big GS's are world-class bikes, for sure.

    Great video! We did the Icefields Parkway in August '23 and can confirm that smoke was thick. We also checked off our 8th of the top 10 highways in Canada and it totally deserves to be on that list. It did get a little chilly at times, but those glaciers were an incredible site. Jasper is a cool town. Lake Louise is worth skipping unless you're going to take a day and hike up to the tea house.
    I can also recommend the ride to Tofino, BC (stop in at goats on the roof, check out the old growth cedars, and incinerator rock). Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia (be sure to go during lobster season) is ourt favourite of the 10 (so far). It's a fun technical ride with plenty of beautiful views, the nicest people, and great live music everywhere you go.
    Not on any list you'll ever find is the ride around PEI and Charlottetown. If you're doing the Cabot Trail anyway it's totally worth the ferry ride. I love PEI. Those purple highways at sunrise are breathtaking, just beware of Moose crossing.
    Waterton in Alberta is also a great destination. The Going to the Sun Road won't make many top 10 lists because it's too technical for most, but if you like that kind of adventure then you must go (if you haven't already).

      Thank you for this comment! We're ALWAYS searching for the best roads and some of these you mention are totally new to me (never really been east of the Rockies on the bike but Nova Scotia sounds really interesting.
      We've been to Going to the Sun Road, but we were there too early in the year so it wasn't fully open.
      For me, the more technical the road the more enjoyable, so that's still on my bucket list.
      A few more that I'd add to this would be Beartooth Pass and Chief Joseph Highway. If you've never been, they're bucketlist worthy as well imo
