SKT composition was super easy to play and execute while RNG comp required much more skills to get on the same level. Full respect for MLXG for playing Lee Sin on such level in this meta against SKT.

Imagine those saying Mata is washed up before. Even with this loss, RNG is still on fire. Before MSI, SKT were presumptive favorites, now especially with their home advantage and SKT's 4 game slide, RNG is looking pretty strong. Faker's a god yeah, but Mata is a god too. And, I'm 50-50 on these two teams in the playoffs, they're pretty even, even if SKT looking so strong on paper, RNG is insanely skilled on their playstyle.
+Mark Nicole Guilalas Mata is the only player that can be even considered in contention with Faker as the best player at league. He's been my favorite korean player since he awed me in season 4.
Whiskiz Yo The dominance of SSW is undeniable, and so much of that stands on the shoulders of Mata. No support player have ever been so pivotal on the success of a team, as Mata was. Mata was the best player of SSW which arguably was the best team to have ever played league of legends.
RNG got out-scaled, this showed clearly when SKT consistently won the last few fights, even when they were down in gold and kills . There doesn't seem to be much that RNG could have done better this game, however, except for perhaps choosing a better siege comp to finish the game earlier. Good game regardless, this game could have gone either other way if some skillshots were hit or missed, Especially, Faker not dying in the last 2 fights as well as the wolf camp juke, if those events happened slightly differently, RNG could have won.
+Huraken No, RNG's comp scales horribly and got out-scaled really hard. Especially Ryze, Lee sin( you can check their win rate by game length on champion.gg). People tends to have the misconception that Ryze is a hyper carry because the casters often wrongly said so, he is not, Ryze is a mid game power, whose power peaked at around 30-35 mins, and falls off gradually when there is not thing left to buy, RNG started to lose several teamfights after Xiaohu got his last item(~42 mins). Leesin, not having reliable CC, or innate tankiness, or late game DPS is usually useless in late game teamfights. Even Ekko got outscaled by Maokai when he couldn't land his CC or assassinate the carries( Maokai's skills are, on the other hand, reliable to hit and his job is simply to pin targets down or peel for the carries, doesn't need to assassinate anyone). Sivir could potentially outscaled Lucian, alone, but not the Lulu+Lucian combo, Ryze + Sivir or Sivir + Bard doesn't provide much additional value, especially when the speed up

Thành Đỗ Hữu I think you're mixing up some concepts but by no way lulu whose damage is known to fall off horribly at late will outscale ryze, a champ meant to be a late game monster, and a continuous ap spammer, much like cassio but with tankiness and an on-target root. Also lee sin's only use is that of play-maker, so his problem is that he couldnt find a way to insec lucian/lulu into their team, obviously graves outscales lee hard af in the late game but noone counted on that. I think maokai and ekko are even, with mao being tankier and ekko having the kill potential. Main problem with rng's comp is their only engage was lee insec'ing lulu or lucian into the team, but they couldnt execute it and got kited to hell because of lucian+lulu mobility.
Remember how boring Workds 2015 was the constant farming and stalling. What are we learning from MSI, being proactive and aggressive will yield results, high risk high rewards as CLG proved.

holy crap, i was gonna leave a comment saying yeah, you dont* take down a late game ryze with GA, specially when 3 members on their team have GA, yet the extra output of AoE dmg of ryze and sivir to make up for it. It looked like RNG messed up the second last team fight, left faker and i think bang? sitting in the back lines, and focused the front line for once which got most of them killed. but then SKT beat RNG again that last fight. Gaddamn.
+Whiskiz Yo You have to keep in mind, RNG's composition really has no way to get into the back-line besides a Lee-Sin Kick. They won every other fight as a result of SKT's back-line being caught in a Tempered Fate + Parallel Convergence combo. That's why you see them looking for Flanks from multiple angles, unfortunately they weren't able to do that in the last team-fight which won SKT the game. The biggest factor is the incredibly mobile Lucian from Whimsy, Lulu's superior range with Glitterlance, Graves who is a tank-assassin in the late game controlling the middle-line while Maokai and Trundle controls the front-line. Think of it as American Football positions; Maokai - Center/Linebacker (front-line controller) Graves - Tackle (looking to maneuver around the front-line to destroy carries) Lulu - Quarterback (setting up the plays) Lucian - Runningback (aggressively looking for opportunities without taking damage) Trundle - Guard (peeling for allies as well as creating zones) While RNG had; Ekko - Tight End (does everything) Lee Sin - Tackle (looking to maneuver around the front-line to destroy carries) Ryze - Tackle (looking to maneuver around the front-line to destroy carries) Sivir - Wide Receiver (looking for opportunities without taking damage) Bard - Quarterback (setting up the plays) The entirety of RNG's team can have the qualities of a runningback while maintaining their own only during Sivir's On the Hunt. If you look at that list, Ekko has to do a lot of work (and he did step up this game), however there is a big difference between a Mid-lane quarterback and a Support quarterback, Sivir also can't as aggressive because she does not have a solid front-line/guard.
