    Hi, Nico!
    Do you know, why that happened?
    The female was survive after that, or died?
    The work (video) is unique. That's gift from God!

    wonderful footage....
    why did the buck charge the doe ? are they more viscious than other regular deer , or white tail ???
    i dont know much about red deer...

    @pureprotea1 13 лет назад

    @anthler24 Elk are deer. The red deer is in the same family as Elk as well as Roe, Moose, White-tailed and reindeer. The Elk is a bit bigger than a the red deer.

    @ash6248 Have you ever been shot with an arrow? I haven't but I have a hunter friend who has. The arrow went into muscle and managed to miss major arteries. He still almost bled to death but he said it was painful and that he couldn't imagine how much more painful (and deadly) it would have been if he'd been shot in the body cavity.

    Very special piece of film. Compliments for having seized the moment! I think that the doe is almost unscathed.

    Excellent! Must have been very exciting for you to film. Your Red Deer looks very much like our Elk that visits my property every year here in Pennsylvania. There is a huge difference in the call sound. I wonder what the size difference is. A good Bull Elk will weigh over 1000 pounds. Wapiti is as Indian word for white rump which is what a Wapiti Elk has. Thank you very much for sharing your video.

    @borninfreedom you wrote that bowhunt is forbidden in the Netherlands,but is there any other "method" of deer hunting allowed?if yes,do you know if there are some woods in Europe where deer hunting is forbidden at all during all the year?(I know that they're not an endangered species,but...)

  • @vvelvettearss
    @vvelvettearss 13 лет назад

    oh no! D: poor doe! I think she was okay though, sad she just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, it obviously was not an attack, if you look you can see the weight of her bringing the stag's head down before she rolls over and over :( hard to tell if she could survive this one or not
    but BIG well done on getting such UNBELIEVABLE footage, definatley once in a life time, you should enter this footage somewhere

    I'm sure she died slowly and painfully over the course of a few days as the infection and bacteria of a ruptured intestinal tract slowly leached infection into her blood stream.

    It never ceases to amaze me how 100 large beasts run from a pride of Lions, 1 wildebeast could kill a full grown lion easily if he wasn't afraid and knew what to do. (I've often seen this!)

    I think one of the hinds accidentally got herself caught in the stag's antlers. He didn't know untill she hit the ground.

  • @ash6248
    @ash6248 13 лет назад

    @borninfreedom that sucks considering its a fair bit better for the environment and not to mention the animal itself considering a razor sharp broadhead cant be felt like when u slice ur finger or something with a razor sharp knife. they run on adrenaline until blood loss takes hold or lake of oxygen and they pass out

    Funny thing about that, taxonomists have decided that red deer and american elk are the same species, Cervus elaphus.

    I think to it was an accident. Rare footage , very special.... Dramatic moment..hmm I think maby the deer did not get too much hurt even if it looked very bad. Those deers are solide and i guess able to take some punch. Hopefully it did not get too much hurt. hmm I also noticed how the male deer jump high not to stamp upon her. Nice and very special dramatic clip :-)

    i think it was an accident , she jumped at the wrong time in the wrong direction i dont think he ment to do it because he also jumped as soon as she hits the ground and he kept on running..i really dont think he attacked her!!! but you got reeally nice videos

    ik denk eigenlijk wel dat het van de testosteron komt want het is algemeen bekend dat herten zeer snel geprikkeld zijn op negatieve externe effecten. vooral in de bronstijd zullen ze hier extra gevoelig voor zijn. maak dus geen vooroordelen over wandelaars die een dagje herten gaan kijken ;)

  • @Asrudin
    @Asrudin 12 лет назад

    He doesnt look spooked, assuming (from the other shots) this happened in the mating season (bronstijd) it might have been the testosterone going to his head. I know younger males can be agressive against hinds, it's not really apparant if this was an intended 'attack' or not though. But knowing deer do not tend to run into things by accident, it probably was.
    Amazing footage nonetheless.

    yes i agree and if he is one of those deers which attacks other deers especially femals for no reason, you have to shoot it its not that i hate on it ,its just, something is wrong with him
