I honestly enjoyed that very much Sollers. Wow I am really impressed with your hoard of copper in all shapes and sizes, especially that fish ? you feed. You've got a nice stack of wire to strip, lucky you. Those shower units are amazing, haven't seen anything like that here. With the contacts from switches I have recently scrapped, I found that the buttons are magnetic. That strip of copper from the chair lift, also new to me. Keep enjoying what you do, and may the scrap gods smile down on you. 👍

If the contacts are magnetic they will be silver nickel and still 85-95% silver so still nab those babies 😄 I did enjoy showing some of my copper collection, I'd love somebody else to do one with different things I didn't know about, the wonderful thing about YT is sharing our knowledge 🙂 Thanks so much for the lovely comment 🙂

Yes any solid romex, house wire, is worth stripping but the stranded isn’t worth you stripping, well at least that’s what I found over the years, course I been out of the scrapping bizz for quite a while but I’m 64 now and had been scrapping since I was in my twenties. I don’t know much about today’s scrapping prices or any ewaste stuff, that Stuff just started coming in before I got out of scrapping. Hi, in honesty I would say no as the main buyers for the amazon ones are re-sellers as a lot of their returns are working. You would be better off doing what I do and trying to find a house clearance company where you can buy faulty electronics by the pallet. It can be worth a call round local companies and looking on eBay. The difficulty is if you have to get delivery though as this is hefty at the moment. Hope that helps 🙂👍

Not at all, some runs are non-ferrous big bucks, or circuit boards that will get about £1000 a run, but some are ferrous cheap runs and my yard is so local, I would much rather get rid of the bulky iron, and whatever I have stacked up at the time that I am turning in so I don't live in a what looks like a junk yard. I actually don't turn in my copper (except VIR cable), that is all kept if I did take it, I'd obviously get a lot more each run. Scrapping for me is a hobby and most hobbies actually cost people money, hundreds or even thousands, I'm always happy with making any money from mine, it's all a bonus. Obviously if I lived a distance from the yard, I would have to save up the scrap for bigger loads.
