I really loved the game but there is one that annoyed me a lot. The game is an open world, and in an open world I want the world to be open, the problem isn't the places I can't go to anymore (I understand it's part of the storyline) it's the fact that you are forced to fast travel to go from Toyotama to Izuhara.. I'm the type of person that likes to go from the bottom of the map until the end of it on horse back. In every mission (until I can't anymore) I travel to it on horseback, first because the game is beautiful and also to play realicticly... I wish there was a way to go there but it just won't let me. I'm gonna try this glitch on the kaneda castle then (hoping it still works ^^)
As of July 2021 this still works. I got a good look at Castle Shimura; of course you can’t do that the first or second time you’re there during the story, as the place is full of Samurai ordered to catch or kill you on sight. And, since the game doesn’t intend for you to re-enter at all after, the place is completely deserted. Same with Castle Kaneda and Shimura’s camp. Something interesting with Shimura’s camp, though. The trapper and dye seller icons are there but the men themselves aren’t. I did find a civilian man and woman in one of the buildings; they bowed and showed respect like every other civilian. Glitched coding, of course; no way they could get in or out.
I know I'm super late here lol, but the Shogun is the leader of the Samurai. We never met the Shogun. All the guys in purple were the Shogun's Samurai. Sorry to correct you but that poked me a little😂
Works on PC release, kinda bummed that they don't at least have npc's around, i see no point to closing these places after the missions, would be cool for it to be filled with the faction that controls it and just spawns infinitly if you fight them, bummer but super coo lto be able to calmly explore it

After you spare him, the uncle is punished for not completing the task and was dismissed as a samurai by shugun. Lord shimura was humiliated by shogun and he killed himself out of guilt of failing his only son and the shogun.
You will come to know that part of the story once you complete all parts of the story, there is a short mission in the end with cut scene showing that lord shimura was not longer a samurai and when you travel to shimura castle after that cutscene, you will find lord shimura dead with his sword in his hands.

Ive also been to castle shimura after the story and you cant access it unless you use the glitch. And even then there is nothing to see there. What are u talking about?
@@Jason-..- i am sure you haven't got all trophies but i am gonna accept i just made all that up hoping for it to be true.. i wish they make a sequel like that so we could see what we have done and really differentiate between true sad ending and good ending.
Very late to the party.. i was thinking if they could add a beastmaster skill in got2. Just like how mongols use hawks and wolves.. so aside from the assassin samurai archer ronin build we'd have a beastmaster lol imagine jin woth an army of foxes and dears wahaha

Also, remove the horse armor if you have it equipped. It will tank the explosive arrow and wont throw you of balance.

Be aware of how many arrows you have because there are no areas you can restock. You can find supplies and stuff but no explosive arrows
If you travel all the way up to the main tower you get a gang of materials, including two explosive arrows
Now there are saddle bags so its ok
You can buy them from the trapper

Its not working anymore unfortunately, you cant be on an Horse near to the Gate, it glitches you away. Its working only for Castle Kaneda
He said the back entrance, not the front. I tired it and it worked.

Tried it but the horse was automatically demount to the horse when Im near at the gate. I think they update it
You have to be at the other gate.

No the honorable way was to kill him because he wanted a warriors death and he was defeated, he also thought that was the more honorable thing to do
