It was a great first season and a great mix of fantasy, drama, action and comedy. However I'd have really liked to have seen that the characters had manifested their abilities a bit more in combat and also elsewhere. It was a bit too much everyday life and it became a bit tedious from time to time. HOWEVER great anime!

its based on a light novel of the same name, you can find the translated volumes online to read. i’m currently reading it and while i’m still on volume two i’m pretty sure emilia (redhead) and maou (devil) will end up with each other :)

Just finished watching this anime today, it's so good. I just can't live with the fact that there is no season 2 coming, that is so sad. Like this is definitely one of my favorite anime if not my favorite. Just the story is pretty good and it is so funny too. I'm going to miss it.
I just can't get over the fact that I will never see the opening sequence again with a new episode.

Just imagine the more fans there would be if this anime was actually SERIOUS. But sadly it's not.
+Casual Otaku Honestly I think making the anime too serious would kill its charm. I mean it's a show about the devil trying to learn about the human way of life by working at a fast food joint....You can't really take that too seriously. In order for it to be serious, you'd basically have to change the ENTIRE concept of the show and then it wouldn't even really be the same show anymore.
