Anyone who really knows me knows that Nickel Creek is the most important band in my life. Their music influenced me more than any other artist's -- particularly Chris Thile and his mandolin playing, as well as command of vocal harmonies.
I've been wanting to properly cover one of their songs for years, and I finally decided to tackle one of my personal favorites of theirs, "When In Rome" from their 3rd album "Why Should the Fire Die?"
I absolutely adore this song, and it'll come as no surprise to anyone who's followed me since the early days (2006-2007 anyone...?) that I worked so hard on this Nickel Creek tune. Really hope you guys enjoy it.
