Hi, my name is Morgane, I hope to take you on an enchanting journey while making handmade silver jewelry in my tiny studio in France.
My videos are not meant to be a tutorial, I have not included every single step in this process. It is meant to be hopefully a cozy moment for you to enjoy and a look behind the making of handmade jewelry.

The ring is very pretty but I would have liked to see you use the liver of sulfur to darken the ring and then grave in the stars. It would look like the night sky if the moon crescents were bright and the stars were bright cut but everything else was dark.

I see what you mean and I did something like that on my Lunaris Necklace. The reason I did it that way for the ring is the wearing of it.
Because there’s no “protective” edge like there is on the Lunaris Necklace, the patina would fade eventually, especially on a ring being worn, rubbing on clothes, other rings etc… defeating the purpose of the bright cut, since I want to keep the contrast.
I hope that explains it and thank you for sharing your thoughts!

In my experience oxide coating is pretty hardy unless you use a chemical polish or an abrasive as hard as sandpaper it doesn't come off. Most finishes on silver have to be maintained by the buyer so no matter what you do, likely some other jeweller will have to touch it up.

I rather be on the side of caution.
I give a little note about the best practice on wearing jewelry in my parcels but I can never be sure on how a customer is wearing the jewelry, if they are washing their hands with it, what type of product they use… (I’m guilty of it, even though I know better !)
I want the ring to last as long as possible in the condition I send it to them, even if wear and tear is unavoidable, I want the people buying my jewelry to know what they’ll be buying and be happy it’s what they received and have a good experience overall !
